"Oh the hydraulicks deploying the gear are fine, it's the landing rocket that is out. But seeing as we don't have a viable planet to land on anyway i think we can afford the delay. Earlier i sent probes to this system's gas giant planet and asteroid belt, they should be back in 2 hours. fairly certain the gas giant has enough deuterium and helium3 to keep main power running, what we need here is anything that makes ions, the heavier the better. I'm hoping for something in the belt. Long story short, we can stay in space and defend ourselves for long time, several decades without FTL. If we keep jumping at out current frequency, we still have a year and if i include average on weapons energy, 3 months." the android summed up, pulling the data through the console directly from the ship's mainframe. "I wanted to land this thing because it would be so much easier to conduct repairs, but that doesn't seem possible in the near future as we are approaching what we think is enemy space, and surely all habitable planets are colonized." she continued. "We should... Hold on..." she said as she received Lance's message. She tapped few buttons on the console and quickly created a virus that would rewrite the shuttle's communication system to allow her to wreak havoc. "All security personnel, code 9 on second floor. This is not a drill!" she said to the comms. Then she repeated the message several times, only with different floor every time. Then she programmed the shuttle to send the messages on the frequency Lance gave her, with some delay to cause confusion among the guards and split their forces. Finally, she instructed the scrambler on board to activate. Their pencil-point burst communication would still work, but any radio within hundred meters would be static. "Trouble on the ground. I think they'll be inbound soon. We should get ready to jump out." she explained.

The plan worked perfectly, the two men inside the shuttle burst out with their weapons at read and ran right past Lance. Once they were out of sight he slipped into the shuttle and removed the bag from hits hidden compartment. "Thank you, you just saved us...For the moment." A second problem had arisen, what was he to do with these weapons? If he left them anywhere on the shuttle they would eventually find them, and if he kept them with him they would be in plain sight. He had an idea that just might work, he bent down and pulled off part of the floor paneling, then set the bag down in it and closed it up. It wasn't very noticeable but at the same time if anyone where to realize the panel was loose they would discover a very deadly arsenal. With that disaster hopefully averted, Lance headed back out to finally get a meal.

Keil smiled when he heard Ariaka bring up the word "Ions" making him respond to that, "Ions huh, well that's not an issue! If you wish I can build an Ion Cannon to use on this equipment that you need powered?" Keil brought up his right hand and projected a hologram in the palm of his hand revealing the weapon he had in mind, but just then Lance contacted on the comm about a problem he encountered. The warrior couldn't understand the problem until the android issued an evac plan that would soon happen. Keilumtol was very pleased to hear this but wasn't sure what to do but kill people so he asked honestly, "What do you want me to do? If I use your ships cannon I just might destroy everyone on that planet down there!" He stood awaiting orders really confused about this.

"Let me explain. We already have three big ion cannons. Those are called landing thrusters. They jsut don't have anything to, you know, thrust." Ariaka facepalmed, wishing the failure to communicate to be caused by the makeshift translation. "furthermore, i inspected the main gun earlier, and i think it is safe to say it'll never fire again. also, since when does evac include shooting at stuff?" she smiled, plan forming in her head. "I don't know if there is anything you can do. Know anything about ship to ship combat?" she asked, leading to the bridge, fairly certain she's a better strategist than the commando. After all, it was he who ended up in prison in their brief encounter, but it was worth a shot. She sat in the helm seat and plugged herself to the ship, starting preparations for the evac.

"Ship combat? I LIVE FOR IT!" He roared as he extended his right arm from his body making the D.M.E Cannon appear within his fingers. "With this I can enter and destroy the enemy ship from the inside out, unless they are to be disabled of course! It's really up to you to decide what actions I undertake while under your rank captain!" He continued as he calmed himself down from the excitement. The warrior made his cannon vanish back into his memory banks then crossed his arms awaiting for this scene to take place.

"Yes because we all saw how well your last operation went. No thanks. At least not until you catch up with this millenium." Ariaka said, sending a message to the ground team, asking for update on the situation, all the while calculating possible strategies. She would have to pull another one of the out of the box stunts if she had to pick the shuttle up at the planet. The home fleet would certainly destroy single warship, even though it had shields. And since she didn't know if there was any planetary defense, she wouldn't risk jumping in blind. they would be shredded before the FTL cooled down, not to mention recharged. She banged on the table a few times: "The ship is not gonna do it this time!" she growled, unplugging herself and standing up. She walked over to the window, looking a the stars, thinking. "No other way. I have to get down there."

Tal'set dropped the picked clean bone of his meal on the platter then sat back in his seat to regain himself. With his left arm still resting on the table, he bent down at his makeshift bag laying under his chair and received his armlet that had a bulky piece of equipment on it. He unstrapped it's braces with his right hand and teeth and struggled to put in, it almost looked like he was gnawing at his arm from some other's prospective. When he finely got it on his arm, he flicked open the screen with his chin and sent out coordinates to the Croatoan trying to contact Ariaka. "Hey Ariaka I guess the others didn't tell ya that I recovered somewhat! Well I'm back just my armor isn't making my re-breather offline for now, so don't have me encounter any E.V.A missions when I get back alright! Sorry about this text my comm was lost to that thing I fought in the Croatoan's landing bey."

Rucha strode to where Tal'set was sitting, and with more restraint than she knew she had, placed her hand firmly on the table. "We don't need any more attention drawn to us, understand?" she asked through gritted teeth. Evidently, he didn't. The sniper put down his food and appeared to start chewing on his arm. And then texting. Rucha threw up her hands in frustration. Or rather, one of her hands. With some minor horror, she realized she hadn't returned her quarantine glass, since she'd planned to drop it off in the cafeteria. "Take this," she said, dropping a currency ring on the table. "Don't get in trouble, and I'll be right back." "Did you two bring back your glasses?" she asked Kiruza and Lance as she swept through the entrance.

Lance was stopped by Rucha asking about his glass, he still had it in his hand. "I'v got mine right here, were we supposed to turn it in somewhere?"

Tal'set shrugged then grabbed the ring on the table as Rucha walked off ordering him to stay here. He looked at the ring as it rested in his hand then chuckled, "Thanks, I don't need help with my currency but I'll use it anyways since you handed it to me!" He put his left arm back in it's sling and stood up grabbing his bag from under his seat. The merc walked up to the front counter and held up the ring to a small laser like device that took out the necessary amount to pay for his meal. He threw the currency ring in his pants pocket and leaned on the counter turning his gaze to the worker behind the counter. "Hey, have you heard any rumors lately on whats going on around here?" The worker took his eyes off the monitor and looked at Tal'set with a peaceful response, "Well noon really around here but I heard a while back that a government meeting is suppose to take place on our world! I don't know when there going to show up but it should be pretty soon now!" Tal'set leaned inward interested in this subject then asked again, "Like what type of government meeting?" The white skinned humanoid looked back up at him and responded nicely, "Well it's a meeting with the federation that resides in this part of space and our government that wants to join them on a search of... Well I'm not sure but they offered our world good protection against whatever that is attacking the other colonies in space. No one knows what they are just we heard stuff about what they do to people. I need to get back to work so forgive me about the rudeness." Tal'set looked puzzled from what he heard and pushed himself off the counter. "Well thanks for the meal and good luck to you." Said the merc as headed for the door and walked outside. Tal'set walked to a bench next to restaurant door and sat down waiting for Rucha to get him.

Ariaka spent good half an hour programming a switch to the ship to prevent anything funky happening while she's gone, basically killing power to everything but life support unless threat was detected and putting defenses on auto target. Last instruction was for the ship to go into the asteroid belt. That should provide some natural ECM.
When she got away from the bridge, she headed for the armory and starte browsing in detail all assets she had available. "Hm, mechs? What on the world are mechs?" she asked out loud, opening the schematics and staying silent, stunned by the discovery she just made. "Aye, that'll do." She sent last message to the planet, telling them she's on the way. ---------- "Captain, about those samples, you were right." said the doctor. "Really? But what would they be doing here, and why would they behave like they do?" the soldier asked. "I may have the answer to that. There are certain markers that indicate the cells are very young. A lot younger than they should be." the doctor said, "I believe we may be dealing with clones." "What?!" The doctor heard the soldier yell. "They must be clones there is no other expla-" "Not talking to you doc!"
"What is going on?" the captain yelled as every alarm in the command center trigger on. "We were tracking a fighter entering the atmosphere, but it split in two. It looks like it dropped a bomb, should we intercept?" the specialist at the sensors asked. "It's not a bomb..." the captain said, his face growing more pale by the second as he started recognizing the sensor logs that he knew all too well during the war with the rebells. "INCOMING HIGHLANDER! LAUNCH THE FIGHTERS!" "Too late! It's on the ground!" ------------ Ariaka knew she had some impressive firepower at her disposal, but she never dreamed of two story high walking tank. As it slammed to the ground from the drone drop, she didn't even feel a thing, everything was dampened somehow. The mech stood up and deactivated autopilot. "Let's dance!" Ariaka said, her monitor indicating position of both enemy and her crew.

Rucha had just returned to the bar, her eyes still adjusting to the lower light form the hospital's glare. "Got the cups back. Why the heck didn't they give us something disposable?" The ground shook, and a set of glasses in a case nearby clinked gently against one another. The chatter of the bar fell abruptly, whispers twisting along the filthy floor. Only the television in the corner continued at full volume, broadcasting a debate that must have been months old. Rucha only half-listened, priming herself to react. In the background, a voice droned on: "—denies involvement, despite the number of humans in the uprising. What do you say, Senator? Do we have anything to fear from this half-baked rebellion?" "Absolutely not. We have completely eradicated all influence from the internal systems—" "Aye, by destroying an entire colony!" "—And my sources find it doubtful that it is necessary to search any further. They intended to strike at the heart of the Federation, so they kept their enemies close, so to speak." "Thank you, Senato—"
Another vibration rattled the building, louder than before, so Rucha shoved the door open. And stopped in her tracks. "Laaaaance? What is that?"

Tal'set looked around as he sat trying to see if Rucha was coming to get him but couldn't see the gray skin anywhere. "Man where the hell is that Ceretai? She tells me to stay here and it has already been a half hour of me sitting here!" Complained the mercenary as he stood up and began pacing. He was mumbling to himself as he paced until a rattle in the ground caught his attention. "What the hell was that?" He said as he left his post and saw a whole bunch of people running and screaming from the bar across the street. He saw nothing out of the ordinary until he felt the dirt tremble again. When he looked to his left down the street, somewhat eighty paces, he saw a twenty foot mech appear from around the building corner standing in the middle of the street. "Uh okay?! What to do now seeing that I'm left here alone? I think those drugs are kicking in, or they're not!" He yelled as he upholstered his hand gun and ran to a meridian in the street for cover. He saw Rucha walk out of the bar stunned at what she saw then called out to her, "Hey are you going to stand there and stare or are you going to help me out here?" Tal'set stood and began firing over his cover at immense machine that stood before him not knowing that it was Ariaka inside.

"Friendly fire, Tal'Set!!!" Ariaka yelled, her voice coming out from the mech's megaphone. "Get to the shuttle, NOW!" she bossed them, while firing stun rounds from the machine guns on the mech's hands. Sensor feed from the drone circling over the battlefield shown several tanks inbound. She didn't want to harm anyone, but unless they leave quickly, she might have to. Fortunately, this time she managed to put a firewall on the combat AI still present in her system and retained control, otherwise she might have already leveled the area. She started cleaning the way to the ship. "Go, i'll cover you!"

"Uh Ariakia is that you? Huh alright then!" Tal'set said surprised as he holstered his gun and grabbed his bag then ran to the shuttle. He ignored the pain he was feeling to get to the shuttle in time and ran to the door. When he entered, he thrown his bag to the seat in the far right corner and pulled out his gun then aimed his sights at the approaching security guards. The guards yelled out to the merc "Stop?" as he aimed his gun at the three and fired multiple times. The mercenary could have been a kill-shot by how fast he aimed his gun at them but instead he blew out the knee caps of the three soldiers making them plummet to the ground in excruciating pain. "It's all clear here just as long these soldiers don't grow new knee caps Ariaka! The others better get over here now before they activate some type of anti-air for us!" He called out as he made his way to the cockpit and started to activate the shuttle's thrusters with the barrel of his gun. He holstered his gun and sat down in the seat grabbing the control stick with his uninjured hand ready for dust off.
