The Refuge

Starlight had sat down as she thought of a way to get into the cave. She all of a sudden shivered as a chill went up her spine. Along with it came a feeling of fear that she couldn't understand. "Sol'Lux something bad is happening." she whispered with a hint of a whimper. She felt the stone whisper to her in the back of her mind, telling her something was coming, but it was too soft to understand what.

"Look, the sky!" shouted Sol'Lux. Dark cloud just passed them, blocking the sun and weaking her. "Arghhh.... It's... HIM! HE walks the ground once again... We... Must... go..." she said and the magic block she casted on herself disappeared, allowing her to use all of her powers. She held the Earth heart and touched the ground. It created tunnel to the escape cave. "Zil, it's time." she said inside. At the same moment, the energy heart flew to Zarin, earth to Anubis and the air one back somewhere into the village. She sent part of her energies trough them, allowing Anubis and Zarin temporarily take over their bodies. Then she sent a message trough: "Channel the hearts power and give me their strength. Only you can do it." She said the same To Starlight and Zil, who just got out of the cave. She sent explanation to the Air heart's owner, because she had no clue who can it be.

Still shaken by her sudden rush of rage, all Naïma could do was hover and watch numbly as Darkring and Kohta left.
No... Something is very wrong. Over the years since the war, all I've done is get stronger, but yet I've never felt so pathetic and useless in my entire life! Something horrible's going to happen, and there's nothing I can do about it! I need time to think...
Naïma whipped around and plunged toward the village, where her view of those abominable black clouds would be obscured. She crouched and shuddered silently as she contemplated her failure. Her head jerked up at a faintly musical whistling noise, but there was no one in sight. She squinted skywards, and noticed a pale silver speck racing towards her at a surprising rate. For some reason, instead of darting out of its path, she sat upright, her claws by her chest. The clear stone slowed its descent and finally came to a floating standstill just between her talons. An unfamiliar voice appeared in her mind.
This is the Heart of Air, and it has chosen you. I cannot tell you more right now. I need your help. Channel its power and give me its strength. Only you can. The voice faded.
She twisted her hands to admire it better, and the glowing crystal turned, too. It was so breathtakingly perfect that Naïma forgot her fears for a moment. Then she looked at the sky.
"Oh no..." she breathed.

Starlight shook the fear off and took the stone out of her chest plate. She held it with both hands close to her chest as she concentrated. With closed eyes a blue aura started to emanate from her. The aura strengthened as she drew more and more power from the stone. Then the aura energy went for Sol'Lux and started to fill into her. Starlight slumped to the earth as soon as the last threads left her. She immediately got back up though, shaking off the sudden weakness. She looked at the stone and noted that is it was slightly dimmer. She returned it to it's place in armor and got up. "That enough from my end?"

Anubis killed Domin when he recieved the stone and banished him forever. Releasing Zarin from his control, he concentrated on the beautiful stone. An aura formed around him. Pouring his life's energy into the stone, Anubis hoped it would be enough to stop the evil.

Once Darkring and Kohta got to Chaos, all they could see was a bright stone and Chaos. Kohta swooped down to Chaos and asked, "Chaos, what is the matter?" But it wasn't Chaos, it was another dragon. "Dragon, what is your name?" Kohta asked. The dragon did not stir. "Do you know of the dragon Chaos?" Kohta tried again. When the dragon did not respond, Darkring motioned for Kohta to examine the stone to see if it had any effect on the dragon staring at it. That's when Darkring noticed the aura around the stone and the dragon. "Wait! Stop!" He yelled. "There is an aura around the two, we must wait until it recedes for it could hurt both of us." Kohta nodded and reclined.

(OOC: Fireglade, Anubis looks nothing like Chaos. He is white, and looks like an Ice dragon.)

Sol'Lux felt the power growing inside her, as the elements were combining, forming another force, greater than any other. She started to feel it. She was controling life. She felt every aspect of it. She felt all plants near her, all living beings, all dead souls beyond this universe. Although it was still weak, she started to understand. She was created to preserve the life, to make sure the other creations of elemental dragons will have the future. The plants around her started to grow and evolve. Her aura started to spread and affect all that was alive. The skies were clearing above her. She felt powerful, but she knew it isn't enough.

Desperanus spread his shadow wings and took off with cold laugh. He felt Sol'Lux, his only road-block on his voyage to enslaving this world. His mind was covered with pure hatred. This is the place where others, who he judged as lesser beings than himself, imprisoned him and stopped his plan. Now he wanted only to take his revenge. "I either brainwash them and make them my servants, kill them or enslave them. Now that sounds like fun."

Jolted back into reality by the sight of the dark clouds, Naïma began to contemplate the instructions she had been given.
Channel its power... How am I suposed to do THAT? she wondered.
I guess I'll just have to give it a shot...
She carefully closed her claws over the Heart, forming a cage around the stone. She tentatively brought it to her forehead and closed her eyes, concentrating on the power emanating from the crystal.
A breeze stirred the still air, and more winds gathered, whipping about Naïma's body. A pale, silvery-white aura formed as the winds threaded themselves through one another. She felt so alive, so powerful...
...but she knew she had to let the power go.
Naïma reached out with her mind, searching for the being who had released the stone.
The aura faded as strands of energy left to strengthen Sol'Lux with the power of the Heart of Air.

Chaos felt Desperanus's rage at them. Focusing his own powers without a stone, Chaos also had an aura. A beautiful black one. Then Chaos let the energy go to Sol'Lux, providing her with more power from him.

Anubis concentrated all of his energy into the Heart of Earth. Then, filled with the rich scent of earth, he sent his power to Sol'Lux, the power of the Heart of Earth. Then he collasped, drained by the power surge.

As the last strand separated itself from her aura, Naïma forced herself to fly after it, despite the wave of weakness that washed over her.
I want to know exactly who I'm dealing with.

The dragon suddenly collapsed. "Father, is he dead?" Kohta asked,worried. "No, i don't think so. He's probably just tired out. But whatever that stone might be, it must be dangerous. We should bring this dragon back with us." And with that, Kohta picked up the dragon with his clawas and both dragons started to make their way back to Naima in hope she might be able to help them.

As she hurtled over the trees, eyes on the thread of energy connecting her to the unknown dragon, Naïma caught sight of Darkring and Kohta and pulled into a hover. As she turned her head to look at the pair, the silver strand vanished from sight.
"Flit droppings," she spat, and then noticed the limp white form in Kohta's talons.
"Who's that?" she asked, all anger forgotten.

Starlight shook her head again and looked around. She saw four other dragons coming in and two of them were carrying a unconscious Domin. "Dragons inbound." She warned Sol'Lux.
