Young Blood

[Morty]

"Well, who else could have put it there?" he said cynically. He looked at the map closely, puzzling over the strange landscapes illustrated therein. "It's a bit late to get going now..." he muttered, blinking groggily.

"Whatever man." said Tea, munching on beef jerky. She rolled over on her bed, stuffed and happy. "WE gonna show 'Em!" she said and then fell asleep immediately.

Ciro rifled through the sheaves of paper a few more times before settling down to sleep, the parchment tucked under his wing. In the morning it would be time. They would sneak out while their parents still slept; if they were in on it they would let them go and if they weren't they'd be none the wiser. He put his head in his paws and nodded off.

Lantea woke up first as usual. She packed their breakfast to their bags and wrote Ma a note reading "Gone training, call you later. C. L. R." Then she woke up her brothers and silently left the cave to do a warm-up.

Taranis was woken up by Lantea, he was grumpy about it at first, But she told him about some map. "Sounds cool, lets do it." Taranis was thinking of this as a chance to prove himself. "So where do we go first?"

[Morty]

Ciro trotted out of the cave, a leather bag slung over his shoulder by a length of twine, wherein lay the maps and various other bits of paper. "The clues are kind of strange. It says to go to the land where water meets flame, so I guess it means go to a place where the fire clan and the water clan's borders touch?" he wondered, poring over the largest map. "But where would that be..." he stared, tracing the routes of various rivers running to and from the respective clans with his claw.

"Well, sounds like flying along the sea shore is our best bet, right?" shrugged Lantea. Right, FLYING.... That just means flap wings, hm? she thought for herself. "Um... Er... Whyyy don't you go first, and i'll just pop when you find it..." she tried.

"Oh yeah, you sit home while we do the work. Like thats gonna happen." Taranis said. "How about map boy flies in front to guide us, you fly in the middle and follow, and ill fly in back to keep and eye on you."

"Meh, it was worth it." said Lantea and shook. "But if you pilot me to something, be prepared to suffer another defeat by my hand!" she warned Taranis as it wouldn't be the first time somebody told her deliberately wrong directions. "Blah, let's just do this!" she said and jumped airborn, circling somewhat clumsy around them.

"HEY! YOU DIDN'T BEAT ME! YOU RAN OFF!" Taranis yelled at her as he followed out. "And its left then STRAIGHT, not llleeeeeeffffffttttt."

Lantea was getting fed up rather fast. She interupted Risi by bombing him with a lot of tiny pebbles to make him shut up. "Are we talking or doing? Ciro, lead the way."

Taranis got a mouth full of rocks, he chewed them up and swallowed. "MMmmmmm, thanks for the snack." He said and stuck his tongue out. "PPPPPPTTTTTTHHHHHHHBBBBB!"

[Morty]

"Can you guys stop doing that?" Ciro pleaded hopelessly at his siblings. He took one last look at the map. "West it is, then. Here, Tea." he said, making himself partially transparent again. He took to the air, beating his untested wings until they were up where the only obstacles were the birds. They were finally going to have a real adventure.

Tea waited until Ciro got up enough, then made a face on Taranis and teleported right up. "Man i have to work on this even more now! If i could just take all of us and target more properly!" she cursed and followed. "Are we there yet?"

Taranis growled as he flew up. "This is gonna be a long trip." He thought. "We just started how would we be even close?
