Name: Varka Age: Young Adult Gender: Female Size: Fairly small. (On the chart, she'd be a wee bit less than the green) Element: Dark
Timeline/Plot: Varka will be in the plot that follows 'The Disease'.
Physical: Varka is a small dragon, with a fairly thin but decently muscled body. Dark violet eyes with black slit pupils face forward in a predatorial reptilian face, matte black scales almost seeming to draw away light from her surrounds. Two large pale horns point backwards from the back of her head. Similar pale white/silver spines begin where her head joins her neck and run all down her neck, back and three quarters of the way down her tail. Her tail is tipped with two 'blades' made of the same bone-like substance as her horns and spines. Her front paws have five 'toes' and her back paws four, and each has pale silvery claws that are retractable, to keep them sharp. Retracted claws also makes her walking quieter on hard surfaces like rock, where claws would scrape and make sound. Her wings are large and built for quiet flight.
Mental: Varka's experiences have left her seemingly emotionless, with a cold, calculating mind. She does not panic or get flustered, and can think calmly even when everything is chaotic. She is very intelligent. Varka is usually quiet and calm, though she has a snarky, sarcastic sense of humour, and will crack jokes if she's comfortable in her situation and company. Due to her past, she can frequently be uncomfortable around male dragons, especially when they are larger than her. In a group of mixed gender she is laid back, but in the company of just one male she will usually either stay silent and try to quickly get into other company, verbally attack, or leave.
History: Varka was raised in a close family with one other sibling, a younger sister. When Varka and her sister were still fledglings, her father turned on them. For seemingly no reason he began to argue and fight more and more viciously with Varka's mother and his two daughters. One day he snapped and struck Varka's sister, enraging her mother. He then full out attacked the fledgling dragon, killing Varka's sister. Varka fled while her mother and father battled. She felt numb, and icily angry. She had always been cunning, and now she would use this. Her father, one dragon she thought she could always trust, had killed her family. Her mother would soon be dead, being a lot smaller than her father.
She returned to her family's nest much later that night, when the moon had set, and it was not long before dawn, but extremely dark. Her father was sleeping, his claws spattered with the blood of her mother and sister. She fought back the urge to throw up, and walked quietly up the cliff, observing the area around her with sharp eyes. Just above her was what she was looking for, a pile of boulders. This cliff face was just above the sheltered area where her family had lived. With the right force, she could drop one of the boulders onto the murderer. Using her whole body she levered the large rock off the edge, and watched it fall with cold satisfaction. She stood there for a few moments after it landed, expecting to feel some remorse or guilt, but none came. She didn't really feel anything but cold anger. More will be added to history when I know more about the upcoming plot.
Fighting Style: Varka's size and physical strength are not her strengths, so she relies on stealth, intelligence and other tactics. She can be very quiet when trying to, whether on foot or flying, and her black scales make her very hard to see in the night. Being small she is also quite fast, so rapid darting attacks where she gets in close to do damage and then gets away quickly are used. She also doesn't care at all about honour, when it comes to battle. If she can attack places like the eyes, neck and other weak places, she won't hesitate to do so.
Elemental Powers: Varka's powers revolve around darkness and shadows, and manipulating these. In shadowed areas, eg. night, caves, dark forests etc... She can shroud herself in shadow and become utterly invisible. In already darkened areas she can block another dragon's vision by manipulating the darkness. Her powers are rarely useful in the daytime, because she works manipulating pre-existing shadows, and in bright sunlight she has nothing to work off.

Very impressive Great family story. Few notices: A) For what timeline is this dragon made? See, the very 1st (And now closed) is "in the wild" - A dragon named Blaze led small group of "renegade" dragons who avoided the war of the clans. After that there is "The Refuge" (Also closed) where the same dragons fought to survive and destroy one ancient enemy. Sequel to this is "Battle training" - It only describes events between the refuge and the Disease and special rules apply for it (You don't need to have accepted dragon, you just make them up and stuff) 20 years after that, !The disease" takes place and to be honest, it is finally nearing it's end, so if you want your dragon to be there, it will be probably for a short period of time, BUT we'll proably continue with a sequel concerned about restorating the land from the disease (We are, right? ;D ) Another topics are "Eternal bonds" which takes place on Earth in so far unspecified time, and your dragon, in general, needs an elf or human "bond". The final one is "Hallow house" - i don't know where and when that takes place. B)History - The avoidance of the war was required only for "in the wild" and the refuge, for the rest it is optional. Most of the main characters in the disease didn't even live in the times of the war. C)Fighting style - I seriously doubt dragon males have the same weak spot as humans because as far as i know, dragons are reptiles D)"Child-friendly" - It's fine So. Decide the era and on that you may or may not specify the age. Otherwise i think it is good to go

I've changed the fighting style and added an elemental powers section, because I realised I forgot that the first time 'round. xD
Now, as for the timelines, Is it worth joining The Disease, or shall I wait for the follow-up? I don't really want to join one with a human/elf bond. I assume the closed ones are finished plotlines that no-one's playing anymore?
Also I'm not sure what to put for the age. If she were a human she'd be around twenty, but I'm not sure what kind of lifespans DE dragons have. Care to suggest a figure, or will leaving it as is do?

It's up to you. There will definitely be thinks to do in the sequel. The Disease is pretty much over so in your place i'd wait. We'll try to make the waiting as short as possible Yes, by closed i meant finished. I believe we decited that the maximum lifespan for a dragon is 200 years, with maturity around 20 years. There are some exceptions (Gods, Sol'lux) so that is up to you and accepting admin. I elieve you can leave the age as it is Off topic: It must be really late night at your place, isn't it? Australia is on the other side of the planet from my point of view

Thanks, I think I'll wait for the sequel. I can chat in the C-Box and draw Varka a picture when I get 'round to it.
And it's currently about 10:40pm, so not too late :3 Where are you, if you don't mind my asking?

indeed, do you? if so can't wait. great job with handling this nohiki. anyway, as nohiki has said, we're trying to finish up The Disease (TD) and should be finish asap. sounds like a fun character, even if she isn't the one having fun. I can already see her scaring the living daylights out of the other character because he snuck up on them. ^-^ Accepted

Thanks :3 I do like to draw, and have been obsessed with drawing dragons since I was like 7.
I started roleplaying when I was maybe 10-11ish, and I'm now 16, so I guess I've had a fair bit of practice. But I was so awful when I started out xD
Thanks Midnightmoon for the acceptance
