"We are not there yet. If the terrain is unfavorable, we may not even be able to execute it. It all depends on keeping them on the ground. We should target the dragons first. You got it?" Marrick said, choosing not to make any alterations until they know the lay of the land. Rinzler nodded, but had to ask: "And how do you plan on taking out two dragons from long range?" "I am hoping our new improvements might be of use. A flaming arrow to a hidden stash of flammables along the road..." He said with a smile on his face. Rinzler walked closer and whispered: "This is gonna be expensive for them." "Yep, but hey, they are desperate and asked for help."

"The suplies will be gathered and set up in a location for pickup close by the ambush point." Alice assured, "Lets go."
-----
It was nightfall by the time they exited the mountains to look out into the sparce forest bellow. Alice clutched the small portable mirror in a angry fist. "Tsk, they're already within sight of the city. We must stop while the sunlight is still stong. I need to make some arrangements." Alice slid out of the saddle and signaled for Vincen to crouch down so she could reach his side. This time he settled without a fuss. Reaching up Alice grabbed a large flat item wrapped in a tarp which was as long as she was tall. Bringing it down, she set it up leaning against Vincen's flank so that her back was to the sunset. She methodically undid the corners and when the tarp fell away a large full length mirror with symbols carved into the border illuminated Alice. Without pause she put her palms together and closed her eyes and when she opened them both them and her seperated palms glowed slightly. Reaching out she pressed the symbols with all ten fingertips. The glow from her hands transfered to the symbols and the reflection went black. Taking her hands back she waited till eventually all the lighted symbols went black again before speaking to her contacts. "We can't take any chances. Make your preperations and bunker down; commence Sequence Cloud. ... It makes no difference if it's sudden. We already set this in motion. ... Good, by morning." She took her hand and brushed it across the mirror like she was closing a curtain before all the lights had blinked back on again, and the mirror regained the reflection of her siluette against the setting sun. With care she rewrapped it and tied it back along the saddle, jumping up to settle in. "We must catch up as fast as possible. Vincen bunched down and lept, bounding head long with the fading sun at his back.

The former shadow duo stayed silent through the journey. There wasn't anything to talk about. They had it planned out well. Teh fact that the targets were already within the city's range was a little setback, but the poor souls decided to go to sleep. All of them. If it were them, one would always stay watch if the information was of such importance. "Is there ANYTHING keeping us from bombing the place they sleep in sky high?" Rinzler shrugged. "That is not the plan!"Marrick growled back. "Yeah, but more fun..." "I'll set up the bombs before them. I do not believe the mercenaries would attack this close to a city." Marrick replied, overlooking the comment. Great. They didn't even begun, and it was already to plan B.

Oron skirted around the city perimeter to get the guard post on the other side. "We should go in through the back gate," Lioh stared ",then you can drop me off at one of the hidden passages so i can slip in and give my report right away." Oron "hmf'ed" in confirmation. As they came close to their destination Oron veered away so he loop around the back, and out of sight of the city. Lioh fingered his now well worn twine which he had only bought a few days ago, "Almost there..."
With Vincen's help, Alice caste a blanket of cloaking over the area; now no one would see anything amiss.

The song he's whistling: www.youtube.com/watch?v=hDmTGTC6Cu0A whistling in the distance of a northerner song as a single man clothed in pure white walked in the darkness of the forested road. The arctic elf was throwing his short blade in the air and repeatedly catching it by the handle as he neared the trap unaware. "Awe man, why so far from that city I was in? I was actually having fun stalking that rich woman with the diamond neck less." he sighed when he walked through a certain length of the road feeling that someone was looking at him. Humph, feels like I just walked onto a stage! The elf thought when a caravan of dragons and a carriage approached from afar down the road. "And those aren't the eyes I'm sensing." He blurted then stood straight sheathing his short blade and grabbed one of the two green aurora handles on his lower back with a friendly smile on his face. "Hopefully they will just walk on past!" he said through his teeth as they neared his position.

(ooc: are you refering to kauria's characters? they've already split up and are actually sleeping in a inn right now in the city.)
Lioh felt a tingling on his skin as he got the fealing that something was happening. "Oron?" Fealing his riders unease Oron looked more closely around. "I don't see anything. Wait, there's a stranger there." Lioh looked more closely but couldn't see much in the siluetted shadows. The sun was moments from setting on the horizon behind the lone stranger. "E'vning." He said loudly down to him when they got to him, leaving the greating at that.
------
Alice stilled in thought. "Wait till they've passed each other and out of earshot, or strike now and take them out." Though Rinzler had much skill in killing, it would prove more effective if they both attacked the earth pair at the same time, but with the new variable of the stranger thrown in it could end in failure. She weighed the variables and then opted to wait, at least for a little while.

Would you please get to the trap sometime today? Rinzler complained mentally, but put the time to good use, trying to light grass at approximately the same range as the explosives were from him. Marrick would tell him when it was the time for the target to get roasted, and if he failed, the dragon wouldn't - Even if that stranger tagged along, they had the element of surprise. Add in the confusion and stun by the blast and the elves should make an easy target, and once those were out of the way, they can deal with the remaining, half dead dragons a lot more easily.

"E'vning to you as well!" the snow elf responded letting go of his poison dagger still keeping the same fake smile. They don't seem to be hostile! He thought making a voice in his head echo in response. Well then that's good right? Best keep your guard up just in case brother. Yeah I'll call you when I need your help alright sister? Sure, like always. Solus brought his hand from behind his back to fake an itch on the back of his neck then asked as he walked up to the two. "Hey you two heard of a light elf called Alice at all? I'm kind of looking for this friend of mine." he lied to the two's faces.

(ooc: whoa ) "Alice?" Lioh said, pausing. Both he and Oron could see something was off about how the stranger acted and what he was saying. "Can't say I have. Maybe she's in the city, if you're suppose to meet her here. You'd better hurry though, if you want to get inside. The security tightens up after nightfall." Alice stilled when she heard her name whisper to their hidding place on the breeze. Now all of them were to die. "Guess we'll have to resort to plan B, Rinzler, we can't wait for them to finish and part ways. Set the explosives off, we need an opening." She whispered. "I'll keep the veil up, you're best suited to aid the pair." she then said to Vincen

"More like plan F at this point. But no, I don't need an opening. In fact, the exact opposite." He said. This is what he did best - hunt. And stealth and surprise worked better than distraction and panic. He may need the distraction later if things didn't go well. Taking two throwing knives he disappeared as he made his way closer to the targets. He understood from her words that the boss wanted both of them gone. That made it a little harder but far from impossible.
OOC: Last chance if you want to say something xD

Solus squinted his eyes at the two then smiled as he lifted his right hand and saluted to the dragon rider, "Well be safe on your travels then... I know I wont!" he said weirdly as he threw his hand down creating a nine foot plume of black smoke vanishing from sight. In the smoke he casted a glowing blue square that he used to teleport into the trees above the lingering footsteps he heard approaching him from the forest. As he looked down from the tree, he could make out an invisible form below. "Oh? There is competition I see!" he whispered as he drew his short blade and defense dagger with a crude fast pull from their sheaths. OCC: I think he said enough!

There was no hesitation. Once the fool made a sound of drawing a weapon, Rinzler spun around, his knife whizzing through the air straight at the intruder with little or no chance to escape. He had no idea how he got there so fast, but it was of little use to him now. If he was stupid enough to reveal his position, Rinzler will be done with this punk in an instant. shortly after he launched the knife, he changed position and readied himself jsut in case a dead body didn't drop on the ground.

Solus slapped the dagger out of the air by a split second before contact and almost fell off the tree. "Too close!" he yelped and in a flash of sheathing his attack blade, he threw one of his own daggers at the assassin in return fire. I really need to buy some oil for my scabbards next time! He thought.

No thud. Rinzler fought a snicker as a dagger impaled the ground where he stood before. Amateur. He thought as he slipped away from the weirdo towards the primary target, taking care not to break the smallest branch. As much as he would like to knock some sense into him, the other guy was way more important to the boss.
He was setting into position directly behind Lioh, choosing his weapon carefully. He needed something silent, which left anything bigger than a dart out of the picture, but he lacked the poison to make the dart effective. Eventually, he chose his oldest trick. Reaching behind his back, he pulled a silver, shiny and sharp disk off it's harness.

Are you having trouble brother? called the voice in Solus' head. A bit yes, I'm fighting another assassin right now. Thought the snow elf as he jumped from the tree limb and landed quietly on the forest dirt slowly dragging his short blade from it's sheath, but with much less to no dragging this time. Alright I might need an escape plan sis? He thought wondering if others are lurking with the same magic around in the area. I shall begin my approach then. Nix thought back taking off into the air from a far off hill and toward her rider's direction.
