The Disease

Dinara was going to agree to him when he said something about burning wood and flesh and sped forward. She easily caught up and was gong to ask what he had said when they came in sight of the village. "Oh my." She gasped and hurried up to land in the middle of the town. the place was all smoky with a few fires still burning. No one was in sight.

(OOC: what happened to sharon in the refuge?)

"Who caused this?" asked Fireheart himself. "I did. And i can explain." he heard familiar voice from behind. "Yes, that would be nice" he turned around ans saw Sharon, but much older and in strange suit, something between an armor and magic robe. "Well? I am waiting." he urged her. Sharon clicked her fingers and they teleported into some sort of room. It was like a library with a bit of other furniture. Sharon sat down and unlocked one scroll. Before she begin to talk she asked: "Who is your companion? Are you two mating or?" she pointed at him with curious smile. "Hey, you think she is hot!" Fireheart blushed. "First, get the hell out of my mind," he said and created a block, "Second. Dinara, meet Sharon, my mother's rider, Sharon, this is Dinara, daughter of Starlight and i just met her after fifteen years. Third, you better start explainig."

Wolf could still smell the burning and flesh. It lingered in the back of his mind, pumping up his saliva glands. Shaking his head, Wolf kept bounding around the mountains, patrolling. Soon he reached the end of the mountain range, and there he saw some hot springs. Snorting in discomfort at the warmth, Wolf headed back to his mountain, the coldest of them all.

"My mom use to talk about this little human girl who was always with Sol'Lux. Kinda hard to beleive ti's you." Dinara said amazed. "She use to say you came from a village, the one that we just saw had been burned to the ground." she continued uncertainty slipping into her voice.

"True. I did it only with one spell, pretty impresisve, huh? Well, it all started when me and Sol'Lux split up, it was before we went to the Continent. I think your Mom told you about that. I have been in our capital, robbing the library. I was able to steal somereally old scrolls, and they led me to these." she shown her fingers with several rings. "They are the only sucessfull human attempt to control elements. They have been created during really brutal ceremony. They contain power of six dragons. Please don't ask me for details, it really isn't fun. Well, that is how i crossed the magic ways. I was unable to unlock their powers until i studied them futher. Well, about why i burned the village and several people... They were already dead. It is some kind of illness. It can spread trough the air, water, food, insect... anything you can remember. It killed half of the village. We kept it in quarantine, and when the disease stepped out, we burned it and hopefully destrozed whatever was causing it. I don't know if dragon's can get it. But it makes humans slowly die from the inside." She sighed. "My father was the first one to die. But! I am afraid it isn't caused by parasites or bacteria. It is either virus, or worse, magic. That is all i know. Please avoid the village, it isn't safe untill we know more."

Wolf still smelled the flesh, but this time it smelled different, like it had a disease. Wolf revulsed. Disease-ridden food was disgusting, but Wolf never got diseases for some reason.

[Midnightmoon]

"That's terrible. guess this is the disaster your mom was talking about Fire." Dinara said looking to Fireheart.

[Nohiki]

"Might be, but... I've learned that nothing is really how it looks like. We better get more informations. I'd like to see Ivy anyway. If the disease can hit dragon population it will be disaster. Our numbers are still low. Though... I am fine, i can't get it if i am carefull, because i don't need to breathe." he said with self-centered relief. "Let's go. And Sharon, if you have encounter with the illness anymore, please notify us, maybe our magic can cure it." he said and gave her a blue gem. "Communication crystal. I crafted them myself, but they aren't flawless, i have only partial knowledge of my mom. Well, se you later." he said and blue wormhole opened behind him. "Lady first." he said to Dinara and stepped out of the way.

Wolf, exhausted from the huge patrol he did, dragged the remains of the caribou up to his cave and finished the rest. Curling up in a ball, he eventually drifted into sleep.

"Thanks." Dinara responded and jumped through the portal and landed on the other side. She looked around. "Where are we?" she murmured to herself then repeated the question when Fireheart got through.

"Kikan forest. I think Ivy might be here, as well as you was in the icy mountains. She is a healer. If somebody knows if the disease already hit dragons, she does." He sighed "Jungle... One of worst places here. Filts, snakes, ugly plants that grab your legs... Brrr." he said and started running.

Oltyth picked his way carefully through the maze of vines that dominated the southern tip of Kikan forest. He was exhausted, but the pouch around his neck was bulging with the seeds of all the major vegetation in the area, some of which had been rather aggressive. He looked about, and spotted a clearing ahead.
Finally... Oltyth began to trot over, but stopped in surprise as a swirling blue opening appeared in the center. He dropped into a crouch as two dragons emerged. He wasn't normally one to sneak about, but he'd been caught off guard.
I guess they don't notice me anyway... he thought as the black-and-gold dragon broke into a run. They certainly seem to be in a hurry.

"Oh I'm sure it's no that bad. I mean if dragons live here then it should be ok." Dinara said keeping up with Fireheart. "Do you even know where Ivy is?"

[Nohiki]

"The dragons that live here can control theeeee!" he said as he fell down to the mud. "Enviroment... Stupid roots." he said getting up. "Anyway, i think Ivy will find us first. But... Is he is here, let's help her." he said and clicked his fingers. Another beam of light started to point their location, with big writing Ivy, come here. "Earth dragons are all the same. Ivy joined the group when she watched them from the bushes. HEY YOU OVER THERE, YOU CAN COME OUT." he shouted towards one plant.

Oltyth stood up awkwardly, somewhat embarrassed. "I wasn't trying to hide," he snapped.
