"What in the name of the spirits does that elf think he's doing?" Mags growled, shouldering his way through the crowd. A gap presented itself, and he lunged at the nearest building, hooking his claws over the edge of the roof and slithering up. A white air dragon shot past them, and behind it all was roiling mass of shadow that vaguely resembled a dragon. The same strange dragon they had seen. "Ohh chesk. Chesk a'leyath," Erasmus muttered. "At this point, I don't think I'm going tae hold that against you," Mags replied, scanning the scene. "But those people still need our help." Oh, so now you're all for getting involved. As a response, Mags surged forward, skittering across the rooftops and leaping across an alleyway in a path perpendicular to the white dragon's. He breathed a long tongue of flame into the sky, and continued to spark as he ran. What are you doing? "Trying tae get its attention and buy them some time to do something." "What do you—" "They have the elf we saw with that dragon with them. I'm praying she's not an idiot."

Moira was swept up by the crowd, knocked over and skirted around by the stampeding feet. Faster than she could recover she was left with nothing standing between her and the mutating abomination. Before she had time to calculate her chances of survival, though, she was swept up by a white-clad air elf and his dragon, careening through the air between fleeing carnival-goers wanting to put as much distance between themselves and the danger. "Wow!" Moira exclaimed, barely catching her breath. "That was close. Thanks for that rescue, friend, I thought I was a goner. Wouldn't that have been ironic, though?" she laughed breathlessly, watching the chaos unfold below as they whizzed through the sky, taking fresh stock of the situation. He must have used the power of the jewel to complete the transmutation.. or at least whatever was in that skull did. I should have known I wouldn't have enough power to create life on my own. she thought, biting her lip.

"What do you mean that would be ironic? Whatever, that thing is chasing us an something tells me you know more about it than us. Anything you can tell us?" Vieris asked the dark elf. "Good news and bad news." Azelma yelled back. "Good, it looks like some people are trying to help us. Bad news, were trapped in this city." "Well just keep circling, we just have to keep ahead of it."

"The dragon down there? I created him." said Moira proudly, smiling fondly at her creation. Then, recalling the direness of the situation, she added, "But don't worry- I think I know how to un-create him. We're going to need some firepower, though. Those guys down there might have just the trick." she said, pointing to the fire duo running parallel to them down below.

Fireheart watched the disaster unfolding with interest. "I must get my hands on the person that created this. Magnificent! ...with a few tweaks." he said as he observed from air. Then he saw a bunch of puny would-be heros run the other way than most of the crowd. He smiled and headed for them to watch a little closer.

"Alright, Azelma, keep flying and keep this one safe." Vieris pointed to the dark elf. Vieris stood up and leaped off Azelma into a dive headed for the fire duo. He flipped in the air to move himself towards a building side and started sliding to slow his decent, then jumped and rolled right next to the fire dragon. "Excuse me, but it would appear a...... acquaintance, of mine may know how to stop that thing. However, we require your assistance in order for it to work. Interested in helping?"

"Just tell us how." Erasmus formed an orb of fire between his hands.

"You're all either stupid or even far more whacked if you're going against that thing." said Fireheart floating around the group, wanting to know if they snap at what seemed to be a hatchling to them easily or if they can focus on the matter at hand.

"Ooof!" Lioh landed for the umpteinth time. "Ok ok, stop!" The ground stopped rippling. With a grunt he stretch up strait. His muscle hadn't felt this bad since he was teen and the weapons master had given him a thourough first lesson with the staves. "What now?" Oron didn't need to say I told you so. It was evident. "Now? Well now we go get my mace." Lioh responded. That was one of the reasons for him stopping here. He could jump after the pair, continuing to ridicule himself, or he could go into the inn right down the steet and get the chain weapon from his rooms. "I'll keep an eye on them then." Oron had finally caught up and the streets had cleared mostly now, scattered to other parts of the city, probably to the exits to the surface. When Lioh returned he had his weapon of choice. A ball of metal the size of a cantalope with a strip of blade going all the way around it's circumfrance attached to a long thick 3m chain. The mace wasn't solid metal though, inside was a chunk of cyrstal that Lioh could control. He can call it too him and change it's angle of flight margionally. "This should give me some more reach." "While you were gone a small group had gathered. A bonded pair, the rider from the white dragon, and a small hatchling." "Come on then." When they got to the building where the group was confering Lioh had Oron boost him up again and he landed on the roof with a thud.

"Really? You really need tae be told how, 'Ras?" Mags dug his hindclaws in and spun on the wide rooftop to face the shadow dragon. His neck bunched on itself for a moment, and then he snapped it out to its full length and breathed a whirling gust of fire at the darkness. "I just thought that there might be more to it than that," Erasmus explained, switching the orb to one hand and flattening Mags' indignant crest with the other. "And why don't you help?" he called up to Fireheart. "I'm sure you've got a bit more flame in you than Smokey here." Mags swatted him with a wing.

"That's the ticket!" said Moira enthusiastically, leaning eagerly over the side of Azelma's back to watch the fight below. The mutated dragon had reacted to the fire dragon's attack and now turned to bare its fangs, black ooze dripping from its 9-inch fangs. "Now, just give him a good dousing of fire and he should catch --I wouldn't have desgned this creature without a way of getting rid of it. That dark matter might be something of a problem though, it seems to be absorbing the heat and light from its surroundings. How would one go about removing it, though?" she mused, her eyes glued to the battle.

"You might want to get seated a little better. I'm about to dive down and pick Vieris up, and we don't take things slow." Azelma gave the dark elf enough time to sit back before making a sharp turn and blasting straight down towards the group and landed without even throwing dust up. "Vieris, we need to take care of that dark matter stuff." She instructed him. "Alright, but i don't have any ideas." "We'll think of something."

"Easy enough, then." Erasmus let the fire twine its way between his fingers before he released it in a torrent. The darkness rose to meet it, whisking away much of the light, but a small ray still struck true. A grating, gurgling cry greeted the effort. Tell me you can do better than that, Erasmus. Mags reared, his wings beating for balance. He shot one last billowing plume of fire at the creature, and then immediately ordered, Give me some thermals. There's no time to find a better place for this. Mags' claws hit the tiled rooftop, and he galloped along its length, launching himself into the open air at the end. A cloud of warm air caught his wings, and the pair were soaring.

I have had enough. Found the creator, that's all that matters. This thing is not worth salvaging anyway. thought Fireheart, pulling a red piece of gem outta his bag. "Good thing i already visited the First though!" he shouted and headed towards the creature, a fire spirit appearing over him. He summoned a great phoenix made out of fire that went right through the creature.
OOC: Leaving the outcome to you.

"That's the stuff!" Mags cried in triumph, slapping the air with one flattened wing. Erasmus clutched the saddle with one hand and wiped his brow with the other, a whistle of admiration escaping his lips. There's some firepower in the little one. I wonder where his rider is. Mags banked across the watery sky to assess the damage.
