"Heh, guess I didn't need to go gallivanting around like and idiot, or get out my weapon." You think I'm getting too old for this?" Lioh asked Oron half jokingly. "Your not getting old. It's that whelps age that worries me, and his solitude." Now Lioh turned serious. "Ya... Can you see his rider?" "No." "Neither can I..." Lioh 'hmm'ed out loud, as he wrapped up his weapon. A cloud of ash floated down to the cobblestones in the street bellow where burnt black crystals and stones waited, all that was left of the black monstrous creature.
Everything was trampled and much of what was left of the festival was in ruins. All the fleeing populace had left the crowds dwindled and the atmosphere dissipated. He could see the city guards pushing though what was left of the still running crowds to intersect at this point. "Here comes city guards." Lioh thought with tired sadness. What had started out as a extravagant event had ended in destruction, and this kind of chaos could not be solved in a day. There was going to be an investigation, and there was going to be hell to pay.

"I believe it would be best if you left. May I?" said Fireheart and offered Moira a hand once he spotted the incoming guards.

"Oh, um, I'm sure it will be allright if I just explain to the guards what happened." said Moira to the unexpected dragon. "It was only an accident." she laughed. "I wouldn't mind retrieving my porpoise skull though... Thank you for your all your help!" she said to Vieris and Azelma, and to all the other dragons and bonds who had done their part. "I'm Moira, by the way. Moira Asvari."

A thick water dragon muscled her way through the confused stragglers of the crowd and wrapped herself around an empty guard spire as the captain of the guard dismounted. "Everybody, STOP where you are!" he bellowed, his voice shadowed by the rumble from his dragon. The spectators who had turned back to see what had happened hushed, and several more dragons, all bearing the crest of the guard, broke their way into the square. "What happened here?" the dragon roared into the tense silence. Her voice echoed harshly down the streets. "Someone had better tell me in the next five seconds," she warned, the great crest on the back of her neck rising in impatience.
Now what? Mags asked. We wait to see if our companions are the honest type. However, I'm afraid I don't really know what happened myself.

"If you really think explaining would be the best idea." Vieris whispered to Moira. "Then now would be the time."

"Nah, we'll go. You have fun explaining that." smiled Fireheart and grabbed Moira's hand. In a flash of light, they were gone. He teleported them to his hideout, handing her the item she mentioned. "Now, can you teach me how to do that? I can offer my services in return." he suggested.

At the flash of light, the ring of guards bristled, and weapons were leveled on all the remaining pairs within. The captain of the guard armed his crossbow and tensed, ready for another sudden movement. "You four, quickly sweep the area for those two, and get a mage if you don't find them. That looked like some sort of teleportation spell, but it might have just been covering their escape." Two pairs of guards nodded and backed away, the ring tightening to fill their spots. "And I'm afraid all of you are now going to have to come with us. Even though it looks like we've identified our guilty parties, someone still needs to tell us what happened, and now we're not taking any chances."

"We save her and she leaves us with the guards?" Vieris growled. "Something tells me it wasn't her idea, either way we may want to do what they say or this could get real ugly." Azelma replied. Vieris just sighed, "Very well. Where are we going?"

"Ok, ok. No need to get feisty." Lioh said wearily. Wrapping the chain around his weapon he dropped the bundle over the front of the building, himself following behind.

"Someplace a little more . . . secure," the dragon replied, crouching to let her rider mount. The other guard dragons fell into line around the captive pairs. "We have a station nearby that's been closed for the festival. It's just to make sure that no more witnesses slip away, and that others with keen ears don't go spreading unnecessary panic with rumors before this is cleaned up." The captain's voice had softened, but he glanced at the lurking observers along the alleyways with distaste. I'm pretty sure we weren't the only ones here when that thing showed up, Mags snorted, letting himself be guided down the street. Just the only ones left. We're either level-headed or complicit enough to warrant a questioning. We'll be back home soon. Erasmus nodded to the pair of guards that ushered them through the dragon-sized entrance into the darkened guardhouse. [OOC: Haha, maybe everyone could grab a guard and get to questioning so it's not just me here. ]

Vieris and Azelma kept quiet the whole way to the station, there they were put in a room away from the the other people. It was a small room, big enough that it could hold a dragon but not that they had much room to move. There was a table but it didn't look in very good condition. After about 5 minutes a guard came in with a note pad, he pulled out a chair and set the notes on the table, the leg to his right broke and the table fell over. "That table is from outside isn't it?" Azelma asked. "Yes, it appears that dark thing hit it. But the table isn't what we came to talk about." The guard said picking the note pad up. "Lets start from the beginning, what brought you here in the first place?" Azelma answered first, "We were delivering a package, we can't tell you what was in it, part of our policy." The guard wrote something down then continued, "Where then did your delivery take place?" Again Azelma answered, "The Wanderers General." The guard looked up at them, "Thats on the other side of town, what brought you over here?" Both of them answered "The festivities." The guard shook his head, "Should have assumed. Now when that dark being appeared what did you do first?" "Ran. As fast as we could." "Really?" "Really." "Because from many witnesses, we found that you two were one of the first to not only help, but organize a group to stop that.....thing. Now is there a reason you suddenly wanted to become heroes?" They both looked at each other then Vieris answered. "I saw someone in distress. She was about to be absorbed by it so i sprinted over and grabbed her before it got her." The guard got a look and wrote more down. "You must have been pretty fast in order to do that." "I've had practice." He responded smugly. "So after you rescued the lady, what happened?" Vieris took a breath and explained. "Azelma and I flew away, fast, but the thing seemed to be targeting the dark elf." "Dark elf? You forgot to mention that." "Well its not really that important, i assumed it was mad that i stole its dinner. I'm glad i saved her anyway, she turned out to be quite smart." The guard wrote more down. "Really? How so?" "She was able to figure out that the thing was weak against fire, not sure how." Vieris lied. He didn't want to keep being questioned and saying that Moira was its creator would spark a whole mess of conversation. "When we spotted the only fire group that stayed I jumped down to explain to them our plan, while Azelma flew around to keep it busy. The fire people used what they could to attack it, then some others came in. An Earth pair and a strange fire dragon, after that it was gone." The guard wrote more, "And then what happened?" Vieris smiled, "You guys came and surrounded us." The guard then looked up with a sudden realization. "So that elf and dragon that suddenly disappeared, they were the Dark elf and 'strange' fire dragon?" "Correct. And don't bother asking if we know where they went because we have no idea." Azelma quickly responded. The Guard looked at them for a second, wrote for a second then closed his book. "Alright, thank you for your time and cooperation." He stood up and opened the door for them to leave. "Think we should leave or wait around to see what happens." Azelma asked. "The last time we stayed around this all happened. No, we're getting out of here before anything else postpones us."

Lioh wove the twine through the loop, then the next, then the next. It was the second time he'd assembled the dream catcher when a interrogator finally came in. "Lets get the formalities out of the way. You are Lioh Domnand, bond Oron, single, correct?" "Correct." He wrapped up the remaining twine and set the unfinished craft into his his inside pocket. "You are here on business?" "No, I took the week off specifically to attend to the festival." "Would you please recount what happened this night." The investigator when from 10-50 just like that. Lioh didn't stutter though, the weapon trainers used the same trick on rookies. "Well, it all started at the street with the elemental performers..." He started to recite. At the end they went over a few more details and then went over them a second time. When the interigator was sure that the story wasn't changing he sighed and abruptly stood. "That will be all. You will have to stay in the city for a few more days, so we know where to find you if we have any more questions. You superiors will be informed. Good night." Knocking on the door he was admitted out, followed by Lioh. "Ouch." "The interrogation wasn't that bad." "No, but my joints are. We'll have to take a detour to a herb store so that I can get a balm." "Commander Syrin will not be pleased." "With us being late or my soreness?" Oron came up behind him and looked down at him. "Yaya."

"Eep!" yelped Moira. Before she had a chance to decide whether she was going to fess up or not, she found herself yet again whisked away in a flash. "You didn't have to do that, you know." she said to the strange young dragon when they were on the other side, taking the proferred skull and probing it carefully with her mind. "But I guess it will be difficult explaining that I may or may not have accidentally created a conduit for an Elder Demon to the physical world." she sighed when she was satisfied that the skull was no longer a danger. "What do you want me to teach you?" she shrugged openly, turning to face the young dragon. "I'm guessing by the way you used that spell you must be a light dragon, correct? What interest does the light clan have in organic transmutation? Especially, a hatchling?" asked Moira, perplexed.

Fireheart whispered an ancient spell that would prevent Moira from sharing what he was about to say without his aproval. He didn't mess with her mind, only silenced the words if they were spoken. He conjured a ball of light and surrounded it with fire. "And no rider. How would you explain that?" he started playing a little game.

Moira clutched the skull closer to herself uneasily. "Before you mentioned it I'd have said he or she would have been coming along shortly, but now I'd say that's not going to happen, is it?" she returned, eyeing the burning ball of light. She was beginning to think trusting all these random strangers was a bad idea.
