Rothia knew he was doomed when he was one of the dragons approach him. He was getting ready to die. He knew he was going to die. "I know my fate now..." He whispered what he thought were his last words nearly silently. None of the dragons could hear any of the words.

Chaos sniffed. There was another dragon close by, a wild one for sure. Soon Chaos had it struggling at his feet. He took a bite of the dragon and spit it out. Then he started sucking out the blood, lapping it up like a dog. When he had finished, the corpse dissapeared into dust. "AAAAsaaaaaahhhhh. Tasty. I wonder what Rothia's blood tastes like?" Chaos eyed Rothia.

Rothia's eyes widened. he knew this wasn't good. He was too tangled to move any farther, and he only had one chance to call for help. So, he called for some and hoped, deeply hoped, that it would come before he began to be devoured. "HEELLP!!!!!!!" He called as loud as he could, and knew it could be his last word.

"WAIT!" Zarin said in the commotion over Sol'Lux, he listened closely. he heard a distant "help" and knew. "ROTHIA! don't worry I'm coming." Zarin bolted off in the direction of the cry. Without anyone knowing, he zoomed faster then anyone could see and grabbed Rothia. The force of his speed was so great it snapped the dark net. "Yo Roth, long time no see." Zarin said carrying him to safety.

Deep under ground... Desperanus was laughing. He smacked down the only obstacle that could keep him in his chamber for ever. "And now, to assure that they won't help her rise again!" He laughed madly and prepared to cast same spells at Meressa and Ivy, who was the only ones who could heal Sol'Lux at the moment. But he suddently stopped, and tapped into dark energies on the surface. "Interesting" he said as he felt great evil. He casted a spell forming mental link between them. He probed his mind quickly and learned everything he needed. "Greetings, Chaos, the god of death. I am Desperanus, darkness elemental dragon, and the creator of your kind." He said, "Without knowing, you was helping me a lot. Your efforts of trying to get rid of Sol'Lux won't remain unrewarded. There is source of great shadow power, containing essence of the darknes itself. Behold, the Heart of Darkness!" He said and showed Chaos an image: nohiki.ic.cz/gallery/DE/Hearts/dark.jpg"With power source like this, you can cast spell, that will relase me from this prison, and once this is done, i will make sure this world will belong to you! Only thing for you to do is find it." With that, he let the image in Chaoses mind disappear and closed the link. He remembered that he was going to cast two more spells, but he considered it more effective to save his energy, because it was still wery low. Back at the camp: Sol'Lux came to herself. She felt others near her, she knew what happend, but her body was not reacting on her commands. Tarasana's image showed up again: "Your soul have been disconected from your body. Because it is a spell of darkness naturality, only spell can heal it again, and light spell will be the most effective." "What shall i do then? I can not cast my spell in this form!" "Yes, you can, you only have to believe in yourself! But, there is one more information. Chaos has learned of the existence of the Heart of Darkness. You have to stop him before he revives Desperanus!" with that, his image was gone again. Sol'Lux was about to freak out. "Come on, girl, you have to at least try!" She concentrated all light energy still left in her and started thinking about her spell. There was not enough light to cast it. Then something weird happend. An image flashed in her mind. Again and again. It was an image of light dragon. "Come to me." thought Sol'Lux and focused little of her energy to summon it. With a flash of light, a dragon appeared in her mind. The image in her mind said: "You must arise!" it said, and wanished in a glow. Sol'Lux felt her light combining with the force of Maraelyx's light sealed in her tailring. The spell was working, and she woke up. She looked at her tail. The ring was glowing, but it vanishes soon. "Thank you." She thought. But her wounds were still there. Almost all of her energy was used up, she couldnt even start absorbing sunlight. "I left these for you, if you... don't... mind." she said to Ivy and fainted again in deep sleep, needed to replenish her energy. |

Thoron got up on all fours and looked at Mara trying to stand straight. Thoron pulled his stone covered wings looking at Mara then said"Are you alright, It's my fault that I crashed into you there you happy, I have never been trained with the wings of the defender so please get mad at me because of my fate I have to deal with."
Thoron looked at Mara with anger as she insulted him with those words she just said but Thoron then calmed down and smiled gladly at her"Well at least your alright and I'm glad you are Maraelyx, if you got hurt I would never forgive myself."
Thoron felt bad when he crashed into her so he just turned his back and walked slowly away from Mara.

Chaos heard the dark voice in his mind. "I must find the Heart of Darkness. About Desperanus, though, he could be of some help. Though i do not want to rule the world." With that, he sent out his army of demons to search for it. A few seconds later he sent out a pulse wave, and in minutes located the Heart. "Off to find the heart of darkness!"

Thoron made himself so vulnerably to be sympathised. Maraelyx whiffed a small stream of hot air through her nostrils in annoyance but took the bait and called for him.
"I'm sorry too, just learn to fly better and maybe the slack-winged lizard will become a strong-winged dragon," she said before testing her wings for any damage then flying away.

"My gosh!" Ivy gasped at the large but shallow gash in between Sol'Lux's shoulder blades. Ivy made a medium sized rock bowl and dumped a assortment of herbs she separated from the pile she brought. Mashing up the herbs in the bowl, they were soon turned to mush. Making another bowl she looked up to Starlight, "Find a river and fill the bowl with water. We need to clean the wound of blood before we put the paste on." she instructed. While Starlight hurried off to do that task Ivy continued what Starlight had started, cleaning out the wound of wood splinters.

Chaos sent one of his demons to fetch the Heart of Darkness. First he had to find Rothia, who was rescued by Zarin. But first, he was hungry. Leaving Saethmarris with Visron, he traveled toward that human village. Entering the village, he was catiously watched by the townsfolk. Then the fighting started. Chaos seized the nearest villager, a male, and flew off with him. A twange of bowstrings followed as the villagers shot arrows after them. Swooping down, Chaos landed in a tree and sucked the life and blood right at him. Then he flew back over the village, dropping the man's dead body.

Meressa stirred. She sensed that Sol'lux was injured again. And her side...
"Mer, you're gonna have a huge bruise tomorrow," Eloyn commented.
"Ugh...not helping Eloyn," Meressa grumbled.
"Sorry...sheesh. Someone needs to go back to bed." Eloyn eased away from the tired dragon.
Eloyn walked off once she was a fair ways away from the other dragons. She sat down by the stream Mer had found earlier. Then she noticed something glinting in the streambed. This place seems familiar...she thought, and waded into the stream to dig up the item.

Chaos was not pleased by the meal. He still needed more blood to complete the ritual that Desperanus talked about. But this time he would go in disguise. Using his powers, Chaos transformed into a Chimera, like the clan Saethmarris was in. Swooping down, now he grabbed five villagers, all male. He soared upwards, reaching the cliff where his demon army waited for him, guarding the Heart of Darkness. Transforming back into his hatchling form, he quickly spilled the blood over the tomb that guarded the stone, then drank the rest. The tomb blasted open, and the Heart of Darkness floated up in front of him. He held it in his claws.

"FOOL!" Desperanus shouted in chaoses head. "Did you really thought it will be that easy? What are you holding is just a lure of the trap, get out of there!" The ground started to break appart under Chaos. "Find your dear friend Sol'Lux, i have no doubt she knows the location of the Heart exactly!"
Zil was flying over the human village. Then he saw a dark dragon attacking the villagers. "No!" he said and changed direction to Chaos. But then, he changed to his Chimera form, and Zil decited to folow him to find out how much power he has. "First, the war between us almost destroyed our clan, and now you dare to enter my realm? You dont know what you just get into!" With that, he slowed and followed chaos.

By the time Starlight got back with the bowl full of water the sun was high in the sky. Handing over the water she asked where Zarin was. "I have no idea." Ivy responded. "When we got close he stopped then flew off in a hurry." Ivy dumped all the water on the wound slowly. When the water was gone she set the bowl down beside her. "Hand me the bowl that I mashed the herbs in." she demanded. Taking the bowl she padded the pulp into the wound. With the paste on, the bleeding had stopped. Sol'lux's breathing was raged. Ivy shook her head. "I can't do anything for the pain till she wakes up." she thought. "And now we wait." Saying this out loud. So the two of them sat there watching and waiting.

Sol'Lux had dreamless sleep, and she needed that a lot. When she woke up, she saw Ivy and Starlight sitting next to her. "Uhhh... Enjoying the show?" She smiled, "Thanks, it feels much better." she said and stretched her back. But she was still weak. Obviously, she couldnt live only from absorbing Light energy and now it was taking its price. "How many nights was i aweak?" She thought and counted. It was more then 10 days without a single hour of sleep. "Not today." she thought looking at the sun. Then she noticed something. There was cca 5 cm long slash on her front leg, not bleeding, but emmiting darkness. "Ivy? We might have a problem here!" she said as the darkness was spreading on her skin.
