"Any one who wants to go with you can but tell me who is going before you leave and you all are staying and sleeping for a bit before hand." ivy gave Sol'Lux a hard stare. "You stay till the sun is high in the sky and any one who is going sleeps till then. If they have trouble doing that then I'll give them something to help."

"I agree, everyone can take a rest as long as they need." said Sol'Lux I know your mean it well, but sorry, you can't boss me around. she thought for herself. she turned at Starlight. "You better practice your mind blocking then. So far this battles were piece of cake compared to what will we meet there." She looked at the night sky at the ent of the cave. She wondered where exactly can Neurtin be.

"Well, there are many ways. Either you can think about something, and the attacker will see only that, but that does protect you only from mind reading, not form an attack. But they can cause you serious headache with some mind spells. and when i mean headache, i mean you will go wacko, screaming in terrible pain and kill yourself to get rid of it. You can stop this by creating a mind field to repulse it or casting a spell on yourself. But the first thing is hard technique and the second will block you completely, even from us. Well, best way for you will probably be to stay calm when the pain comes and either force yourself to ease it or make it stop by confusing you that the pain isn't really there, or you can try thinking of some wall, that helps me." she said a little tutorial. Sharon stood up: "did i mention what i've acquired in the capital? I learned about ancient map to a treasure containing some magic artifacts. I found them..." she shown her hands, wearing 3 rings on each one, with amethyst, diamond, topaz, emerald, sapphire and ruby. "The amethyst one can cast mind spells. I might be able to cast the block once i practice it. the problem is... I didn't manage to even activate them." Sol'Lux responded: "Well, that returns us back to the wall. We shall probably go to sleep now."

"ya, I guess." Starlight said and lay down right there to sleep. "In battle that won't be a problem cuz I get so caught up that the adrenaline would probably act as a block, but what about other times..." She zoned out and fell asleep, the activity of the night had caught up to her. Ivy walked out of the cave as the sun peaked into it to search for food and herbs for the travelers and refugees.

Sol'Lux woke up early in the morning. Sun rays were polishing her eyes. However she didn't feel too good. She walked out of the cave, trying to absorb some sunlight. But it didn't help. She wasn't sure about their trip, and that was bothering her. She knew she can rely on Starlight and Sharon, but she also felt responsible and wouldn't forgive herself if any harm came to them. Well, i guess there is no turning back now anyway. Next time i try to keep my big mouth shut. Just for test she tried to probe Starlight's mind. BOO! she made her imagine a sound and wait if she will freak out or continue sleep.

Starlight twitched. She had been dreaming of floating on glaciers when all of a sudden there a loud "BOO" and the glacier cracked down the middle dumping her in the water. She stretched with her eyes closed and said, "thanks." sarcastically. Thinking she realized what happened. She looked up at Sol'Lux and said, "I told ya I was no good."

"And i told you to do better." She smiled, "Sorry for my selfishness and scaring you, are you still tired? If you are its good, look, i'll show you something that can help." she said and revealed ice cristal in her hand. "Ever noticed how can i absorb power from light? Try that too. It replenishes both your energy and elemental power. Put your hand on it and focus on the element. Imagine how you create ice, but not the physical form, or this will only result in you absorbing it. I want you to try reverse the magic, suck this cristal dry."

Starlight had a thoughtful look on her face as she stared at the crystal.Taking it she concentrated and the crystal began to glow then dim. She felt a tingle of energy through her arm the spread throuhg her body then faded. She felt even better then when she woke up. She crystal now was only a solid gray, drained of it's clear blue quality. "Where do you get all these useful techniques?"

Sol'Lux looked surprised for a second: "Well... you got me, i knew them since i was born... Mind blocking, regaining energy from element and funny stuff like going invisible... It only required having the idea, rest have gone alone, some things with little practice, like when i made myself invisible and left a shadow once... and well... not only that. That is why i wanted to train your mind. There is so much i can't afford the bad guys to know about me, but i feel sometimes like i'll blow up if i don't tell somebody." she said quietly. She laughed for a bit. "I can probably tell you one thing, but do you promise me to tell noone else?"

When Sol'Lux touched Chaos, a shudder rippled through him. None of the group had ever done that before. He decided to follow Sol'Lux. When she mentioned they needed an immortal for some god-knows plan, he thought he could be good JUST this ONE TIME. He went up and said, "I heard you needed an immortal. Sorry for evesdropping."

Sol'lux sent Starlight a thought because Chaos showed up. I am not from this planet. Don't tell me NOBODY didn't notice i joined your group the night just before we crossed that portal that led us here. She turned to chaos and just to make sure she blocked Starlight's mind temporarily as well as her own. "Well, i don't know if this isn't some kind of trick, but OK, you can come. But let's talk somewhere else, you know you aren't supposed to be here. We must get out." she said and caused Light to evade Chaos so he can merge wit shadow and get out of here before somebody notices him. "You are lucky Ivy is away." she noticed.

Starlight kept her face as impassive as she could make it while Chaos was there (who just appeared out of no where) but when she let the inner surprise show on her face as clear as day. "Really?! Wow, who would have thought. Have you told anyone else?" Starlight prodded curiously in a whisper.

Chaos sighed. "Of course. I am an outcast, yatta yatta, and should not be here. Just consider my offer. And so you know, I really do not have a heart made out of flesh. Just so you know." He followed suit and melded into the shadows and dissapeared. Deep within his little realm of darkness, he let a path of light in so Sol'Lux could find him.
