Phoenicia spent the last month in her nest, only flying off quickly to get something to eat. She didn't let anyone damn near. Not even Gorn, she wanted to surprise him. She only stuffed herself for the final week. She was guarding the eggs day and night, having them close on her belly when it was cold and giving them out on the sun when it was hot so the hatchlings grown properly. It was only a week remaining to when she estimated they should hatch, when one morning, something wacky caught her eye.
The blue egg was all funky and glowing. She barely covered her eyes as the egg shattered, bits of it flying all over. A moment later, she heard the most terrible scream of her life. She quickly hurried to the hatchling's aid, blocking the sunlight with her hands.. The little dragoness was in very bad shape, having burns all over her soft, early hatched skin, and her eyes were all red with blood. Phoenicia Focused. She attempted to modify the healing spell to the condition of the little one, but only succeeded partially. Her skin healed perfectly, though it retained a little tan, but her eyes were gone forever. However, when she looked at her, she caught a light blue glow in them. "Shh, it's allright." she calmed the little one down and carried her over to the deeper part of the nest where it was darker. She knew that a dragon can hatch prematurely, but she never heart of such strange way. She took the other eggs with her and decided to keep them warm by herself, so she could help the little girl. But she was a fighter, and she survived. In five days, the red egg hatched. As soon as the red hatchling took his first breath, he begun to fight his egg and then a nearby stone. Phoenicia laughed and took it under her wing, calming it down. In two days, the white egg hatched. It stared into her eyes, measuring her down before running to her. At that very moment, she thought she heard something.
"We're ready!" she thought to Gorn in a weeks time after the last one hatched, having fed them and taught them to walk since then. She walked out into the cave entrance, looking down to Gorn proudly. "The youngest one is a little shy, but has the mind of his uncle. At the very time he hatched, the forests of Dragon Essence whispered his name. Ciro!" she said, and the youngest hatchling walked out to the sunlight near her hand. Phoenicia stratched her other hand forward, as the red hatchling walked over and stopped at her palm. "This one has fierce flame inside him and got the strengths of his grandfathers. It only suits him to bear the name - Taranis!" she said, and the last hatchling climebed up and rested on her head. "And finally the oldest, and our only girl. As unfortunate as she may be to hatch prematurely, she already fought the hardest challenge, and she won her life. Behold, Lantea!" she finished. The hatchlings made their first roars and climbed on her shoulders as she carried them over to see dad.
OOC: Sorry for little GM, i thought the scene was worth it ;D
