"Why does Kana get a promotion, too? Sounds silly to me." said Europa, cracking her tail like a whip as the gaudy clerics cleared the stadium. Europa felt her wounds stitch together and her magic completely restored as the little dragon padded onto the field. "Another little one? What ever happened to a fair fight?" Europa cried. But she was wary. There must be some reason this tiny thing was so precious. She raised an eyebrow and approached, guard raised.

"Kana gets a promotion two ranks lower than you, Europa. She will probably be your aide or another like that, as she held her own pretty well with you." The Count smiled as the match begun. Solas padded up slowly, then bristled as electric charges ran through his fur. Ice formed too, and he began channeling his energy to blasting point. Charging straight at Europa, Solas let loose a blast of electricity, fringed with needle-point shards of ice. "Little Solas here is a mixed energy and ice elemental, Europa, the rarest of dragons." The Count said, still smiling.

"Hmm, I'd think a light and dark mix would be rarest, the two generally hate eachother's guts." said Europa, dodging casually. She certainly didn't want to get in the way of that lazor, though if it had such a long load time it wouldn't be hard to see coming. She leapt aside smoothly, sending a burst of hair-thin ice shards at the little dragon.

Solas managed to dodge most of them, but one got stuck in his tail. "Ouch," Solas said, "Naw. Dark and light mixtures don't last that long, as the unfortunate dragon will get ripped apart by the corroding elements." Solas opened his mouth and an electric snake shot out, circling in the air before heading toward Europa. Pulling the ice shard out, Solas winced as silver/yellow blood trickled out.

Europa stopped in her tracks and backpedalled as the snake reared before her. She shrieked as it touched the thin film of water leftover from her previous match. Electricity always ticked her off; it travelled through water, and she was more parts water than most. The snake reared again. Europa rolled aside, careful not to touch the crackling film of water. The snake, trying to lunge at her, ploughed into the ground and was absorbed. "Now," she said, panting. "Let's get serious." Two rows of razor-sharp icicles reared out of the ground, heading straight for Solas.

Kana stretched her legs in pleasure as her wounds shrank under the healing spells, the membranes of her filmy wings melting into unmarked skin again. Apart from the blood on her skin where her wounds had once been, it was as if she had never fought. "Why's Europa staying on the field?" she asked brightly. "Has she got another battle?" "The Count has issued a challenge and given her an offer to her," a mage replied, running his hands across Kana's throat to see if any wounds still remained. "If she does well against Sola, his personal 'pet,' he will grant her a ranking position and, by extent, more freedom." "Wait, she's fighting Sola, the shy little runty dragon? He doesn't stand a chance." "Don't underestimate him," was all the mage said, wrapping Kana's foot in healing energy as he spotted a cut on the sole. "There's a reason the Count favors him." He stood. "But that doesn't matter to you just yet." The man handed the halter off to a female Hunter, who led her back down the hallway.

Solas quickly dodged the oncoming ice shards, catching one in his claws, charging it with electricity. The shard crackled with energy, enough to kill a human. Solas formed a snake again, this time one made of ice, and sent it at Europa, throwing the shard right behind it. Dodge the snake, get hit by the ice shard. Solas immediately started crackling with electricity, and the ominious storm clouds up in the sky crackled omniously, threatning a lightning storm.

Europa bristled and tried to dodge the snake. It followed her move, walking right into the path of the incoming ice shard. The was a dull his as the shard passed rent the snake in two. Europa grimaced as the shard continued and stuck into her chest a little way. She plucked it out carelessly, a thin trickle of red running down her chest. She threw the shard at Solas once more, transforming it into water on the way, intending to drown him.

Solas let the water touch his leg, and the electricity from his body went up the stream of water back to the source, finally hitting Europa with a sizzling sound. The leg the water touched felt like it was scaled. "Dry Ice eh?" Solas said to her.

((It was a melted shard of ice, no stream attatched. o,o))
Europa frowned and dispersed the trail of moisture as she felt the crackling hum approach. "Yeah, a little." she said, brushing off her numb arm. The storm crackled overhead. A few drops of water began to spatter the dusty arena floor. She grinned. "I hope your hide is as thick as mine." she said, freezing the falling drops into a rain of knives.

"Oh, it will be soon enough," said Solas, hardening a thick sheet of ice over his scales, "But I get an advantage too, you know." A huge sheet of lightning struck Europa, and at the same time Solas's armor cracked a little, and a tiny shard hit him in the small of his back. Resealing the gap, Solas grimaced.

Europa snarled and portal-jumped out of the way. She would have to act quick; soon this place would fill up with water. She used her water skills to make the raindrops group together into a plummeting spear, then froze it solid, sending it right for Solas' skull.

Solas saw that Europa realized the situation. Water conducts electricity, and this place was soon to be filled with water, and it was an electric storm. Solas clearly had the advantage. He took the offense, dodging the icicle pillar that came crashing down behind him. Wearing his ice armor, Sola charged down at Europa, sending two snakes at her to keep her busy. He immediatly used his powers, the true elemental ones. A blizzard quickly ensured, blasting snow in everyone's faces. In the thick of the storm, Solas spotted Europa, then sent a long shard of ice, a spear, in her direction.

Europa simply smiled wanly and teleported right behind the little dragon, raising spikes of frost instead of the puddle she had just teleported out of. "You may be powerful, little one, but you have no experience." she said. As he'd been heading right for her, he was about to run right into the patch of upturned nail-like spikes she'd left in her wake. She send a spearlike icicle flying at the little one from behind, so if he turned around to face her, he would be impaled. "Ice is not my only element..."

Solas flapped his wings just in time, and avoided the spikes as Europa teleported out of his way. "So I see, Europa." he said simply, catching the shard she threw at him. "But this isn't my full power, Europa. Elementals are creatures of nature." Solas smiled at her, his tiny body slowly dissapearing. "I am ice, and I am energy." his whisper floated all around her, from all directions.
