A noise caught in the back of Kana's throat as the ground below her claws grew slippery with ice, and the little dragon catapulted forward as she attempted to stop. Landing roughly on her face, she pushed off the soil in an effort to twist away from her opponent in time to stand up.

Europa closed her eyes tightly. The small dragon was just not ruthless enough. "*Vient-tant, espèce de vache!" she yelled from across the arena. Maybe she just needed to tick her off a bit.
((*I have no idea if I spelt that right. :'D EVERYONE SHOULD TOTALLY SPEAK IN THE LANGUAGE THEY KNOW OTHER THAN ENGRISH. 8DDD))

When no attack came, Kana scrambled to her feet quickly, drawing up a pair of energy orbs. To her surprise, Europa still stood at the far end of the arena, shouting something. Although the energy dragoness couldn't understand, the tone suggested that she ought to be insulted. Her claws twitched slightly. "What did you just say to me?" she shouted, streaking across the coliseum. She shoved off the ground with her hind legs, flicking both of her wings open in a spatter of blood as she prepared to slam both spheres into her opponent. ( OOC: Fwaha, she gets a little cranky when she doesn't have enough to eat. Next post, I think that Kana's helmet shall fall off. )

Europa yelped in surprise, trying to use her space powers to teleport away in time, but the electromagnetic orbs caused interference, and she only made it far enough to dodge one of the orbs. The other struck her full on, bucking her backwards. Europa twitched, sprawled form crackling. "Urgh..." The crowd murmured. Europa picked herself up akwardly. "What the-- I can't see!" she cried. She couldn't see a single thing. Taking a step back, Europa formed a field of ice like broken glass around herself, in case the opponent tried to come in close. The razor-sharp blades of ice flattened under her feet as she circled blindly, though an intruder's feet would be painfully impaled.
((YAY I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU JUST SAID. 8DDDD))

Kana gave a start; she hadn't been expecting to hit Europa, especially considering the elder dragoness's latest ability. However, she had little time to contemplate as she staggered forward, drained from the spell. Kana managed to regain her balance, but not before she had sliced her palm and heel on the blades of ice, the former beginning to bleed profusely. Wincing, she curled her hand beneath her chest as she attempted to assess her opponent's situation. The shouting could just be a trick...but no, it was too complicated to consider. Kana was beginning to feel her injuries, and the pain dulled her thoughts. If Europa really was as strongly affected as she claimed, it would be best to attack before she recovered. The energy dragon glanced mournfully at her right wing. Although the blood had begun to clot, there was no way she could hope to glide over the razor-thin slivers with the tattered membrane. Maybe, if I could just knock her from the area... She retreated a few steps and, with a grimace, crouched with one leg below her stomach, the other extended behind her. Trying to fight off her unsteadiness, Kana estimated the distance, lowered her head, and took off like a bullet.

Europa felt the breath knocked out of her as the smaller dragon rammed into her, sending shards of ice flying everywhere. Though she'd managed to somewhat dull the force with the stance she took, having heard the razor frost crunching underfoot, she was still knocked backwards several feet. "Grrr..." Europa's vision swam. It was returning, slowly, though she could see nothing but a blur of brown and blue. Sliding to her feet, Europa threw back her head and shattered her ice field, thousands of shards spinning upward like startled birds, then tinkling back to earth in a rain of knives.

Although she had managed to avoid landing on the spikes a second time, Kana realized that she hadn't planned beyond that. All around her, the ice erupted skywards, and the blue and white dragon realized her danger just in time to sweep her wings over her head. When the hail of blades came raining down, she gave up on keeping in her pain. The electric dragon screamed, her head down, eyes screwed tightly shut. Shards ripped through her filmy wings, each one wrenching another shriek from her chest. A jolt of pain shot through her body as a knifelike piece embedded itself in her shoulder. The already-clouded sky flashed a blinding white, followed by an immense crackle of thunder as Kana's left leg gave out beneath her, the little dragon slumping to the ground.
(OOC: Nah, she's not unconscious yet, but I imagine she's pretty darn close.)

Tired, Europa squinted against her blindness and the ice dust, aftermath of her ice field exploding. She'd heard the screams and the thunder. She pawed the ground nervously. "Hello? Are you still awake?" she asked, somewhat stupidly, as the crowd would have let her know if it was over or not. Europa inhaled deeply, she could smell blood somewhere, her attack had been more effective than she'd realized. Melting the fallen shards, Europa made the water pool outward, sensing. Like a spider feeling the throes of a fly in its web, she turned her attention to the ripples, though her makeshift vision was impaired by the bits of ice still falling. Turning her attention to a blood-warm area she searched, the water stretching thinly over the dusty terrain. "Are you there?" she asked, the water creeping up limbs and seeping into open wounds. ((Only presumably ;D))

"Ungh..." Kana's breath hissed out as she felt water well up beneath her paws, inching up her injured leg. Painfully, she pushed herself to her feet, her shoulders jerking as she attempted to stand evenly. Vertical cuts striped Kana's neck and tail, rivulets of blood leaking from each wound. Her wings were almost hopelessly shredded, the membrane hanging in tatters from some places. The armor had done its job, however, and much of her back itself remained unscathed. Her helmet had slipped slightly to the left, partially obscuring vision in her right eye. Despite her current state, the blue and white dragon somehow found the strength to slide into a firm stance and raise her head to face her opponent. Her chest was heaving from the exertion, but her eyes remained a steady, determined white as the spines on her back flicked up through the slit in her armor. With a faint bzzt, the electric web between them reactivated as another flash of lightning sliced through the sky. Kana Thrica was, if anything, tenacious.

Europa was surprised. She didn't expect the little dragon would be able to get back up again. Oh well, at least her movement had revealed her position. Europa drew the water closer together around the point of movement, sending tendrils of water up her legs and into all the cuts and puncture wounds, diluting the bloodstream. When the water made it to the brain, she could freeze it solid, expanding and popping the blood vessels. She hoped the healers knew how to treat hemorraging.

The Count raised his hand. Instantly the cheers and jeers of the crowd grew silent, tense. "This dragon will be spared." The Count said, "She is fit to serve in the Moonclaw Division, along with Europa. They will be a formidable pair. This dragon, though, will be fighting again in this tournament though. This match is declared a draw."

Kana released a shuddering breath as she heard the Count's words, fighting the urge to collapse again. She'd had no idea what to do in response to Europa's most recent attack, and the energy dragon still felt weak contemplating the water that had crept into her injuries. Hopefully, the pardon meant that she wouldn't have to.

Europa huffed. "Looks like it's your lucky day, little one." she said, snapping her tail. The water quickly ceased to be animated. "Moonclaw division? Hah, I can't wait to whip those softshells into shape." she muttered, letting the guards shackle her and lead her away. "What's County up to?" she wondered. ((Who is it that will compete again? ))

Pandora woke several hours later from the magebane halters draining her completely. She got up then looked around the dark room wondering where she was, She began walking toward the large hole in the wall that was made by the Count's young dragon, suddenly hearing noises that sounded like fighting and yelling threw one of the castle doorways. Pandora felt the shadows around her as she stared down the stone door hallway to a light from outside, she hatefully grinned and growled ,"I can't connect to the Void, but I can feel it even if this halter is keeping me away, theo my real question is where is the Count"? She realized as she suddenly turned to the empty thrown.

The Count looked around from his place in the stadium to the crystal ball. The enemies armies were getting closer, so this next match would have to be quick. The dragon, Kana, was being led off the field and was being treated for her wounds, which were pretty bad considering her opponent. The Count stepped up again and said, "Well, Europa, you hope to prove yourself in my ranks. I propose a challenge for you. Have your wounds healed by magic, then fight my personal dragon, Solas, who is the rarest and best of my collection. If you do well, I may as well promote you and Kana to a very high status, about Commanding Brigader General, which would give you a great much more amount of freedom than you already have. Solas, come out." ~ The iron jawed gate slowly opened up, and tiny Solas came marching out onto the field. Solas was nervous, but the Count's word was law, and to disobey it meant terrible punishment. Europa was having her wounds treated by the orange clad medical mages, and she was soon ready to fight. Solas readied himself.
