A relatively young dragoness soared through the air with the sole intent of experimenting how her powers would work with this new land. Most dragons fear entering this forest alone because of the Gyradas that were in the forest that hunted dragons for sport, but for Niradana she relished the opportunity to kill as many as she could find by strategically coordinating her attacks using the treeline, and the motion of her, and the beasts bodies to cause the maximum amount of damage possible, and so far had killed two of these beasts, though she understood why they would hunt dragons. The sugary sweet taste of dragon blood was barely resistible for her, one of her own race, but for one that's not of her race.
Just then she heard a large shriek come from behind her only to see that it was yet another Gyrada. After fighting two already her reflexes were a bit slower than normal but they were still high enough that she felt comfortable in fighting this beast. If she had to, she could also absorb the energy of the plants and insects hiding in the shadows below.
The Gyrada came straight after her much like the other to had, but then as soon as she tried to dodge the attack, another Gyrada came out of nowhere, and hit her from behind with it's sharp talons. This Thing was as big as she was, much larger than the other ones that she had been fighting. The other ones I killed must have been younger versions of these creatures. She thought to herself as she was now in what she realized was a fight for her life. The creature through her down through the trees into the darkness below the canopy.
She knew that she could have probably handled even the larger of the two one on one, but fighting two of these things at once on her own was suicide, but if she didn't fight she would get killed anyways, and she wasn't about to let that happen, she had the advantage now because both of the two Gyradas had lost where she was in the trees. So she charged up an energy beam from inside of her maw, and waited for the smaller of the two beasts to fly right over her and she shot a beam of energy right through the stomach of the creature causing it to fall from the sky in a sea of blood.
The attack took a lot out of her as well as her back was ripped open with a gash that ran halfway down the of her back. She could feel her warm blood trickling down her side, which mean much to her good fortune the wound was more long than deep. The blast however gave away her position, and the wound had but a large hole in her membrane as well on her right wing, and flying would be next to impossible until she had a change to heal it using her dark magic, but she had not the time to do such thing, and fighting from the ground put her at a heavy disadvantage. For the First time in her life, she was hoping another dragon would come to her assistance.

Monster was walking around when he saw a hurt dark dragon. She was hurt bad so Monster decided to help her. He turned invisible jumped on the back, swinging, clawing ripping meat out of the Gyrada's back. Monsters leg got cut by the teeth when he went for the kill. Monster tried again he clawed the neck as hard as he could. He missed again. He needed to buy time to let the shadow dragon heal herself. He was down on the ground, he got up and attacked it right on the chest. A deep cut but not fatal. He needed to buy more time...

Watching and waiting as the other of the two Gyrada started to hone in on her position after her blast of energy that killed the smaller of the two. This isn't looking good... She thought to herself as she saw another dragon suddenly appear on the Gyrada's back and take a chunk out of it's back thereby distracting the beast. Thats a much needed stroke of luck. I can use this black one to by me some time, then as a reward for helping me, I might just let him live. I'll have to figure that out once everything here is done, and I'm out of this place. I've had enough of these things for one day. She thought to herself as she both watched the battle at hand to be alert in case any attack happened to come her way.
Slowing she began to let the darkness consume her body. Her dark healing powers worked better that way, and she began healing the wound on her wing first. No matter how big the wound on her side is the end result is the same if one doesn't have a good set of wings to fly with, and with the size of the tear in her wing, she wouldn't be flying at all because the wing would not have enough air resistance in order to keep her aloft. Slowly her wing started to heal inch by inch with the dark violet velvety membrane starting to close in towards each other. It continued to do so in this manner for about fifteen seconds as if finally resolved itself into a whole membrane again with the new patch of skin standing out a bit against the darker more weathered parts of the wing.
Once the wing was finally healed, she then turned to the gash that was in her side. Energy wasn't a problem for her at this point as she was surrounded by the shadows of the forest canopy that enshrouded everything below it in darkness allowing her to use that darkness to fuel her body and replenish her energy reserves and make healing easier and quicker. Being dark type had it's advantages, and she was bound to take advantage of everyone of them. The wound started to heal slowing from the inside out and after only a few seconds it was down to a mere scratch that started healing itself as well from her tail first and then moving towards her head in the opposite direction of which the wound was inflicted from.
Once she had taken care of both wounds, she saw the other dragon get caught up in the other beasts fangs and get tossed taking a peace of the Gyrada with it. Without hesitation when she saw the other dragon break away she used two energy blades from her maw, and fired them at the Gyrada, one missed cutting straight through a cloud that was behind it, but the other one glanced the beast along the same side that the black dragon had inflicted an injury to. Much to there fortune, the wounds inflicted to the Gyrada was enough to make it flee. However even though the Gyrada left, it's scent still lingered, and slowly she could began to find the scent of others in the area that had been drawn in by the fighting.
She flew up into site revealing herself to both the enemy and this dragon and told the dragon, If you have any intent on surviving this battle, follow my lead. If you don't then you will end up lunch for them, however likewise, if you get in my way, I'll end up killing you myself. That's not a threat in any means, but I can guarantee that if you get between one of my attacks and an enemy, you would be getting up from it. She told the black dragon giving him as much for warning as possible. Oh by the way, the reason I said that is because there are three more Gyrada coming in from the east. She told him giving him some benefit, but not too much that he would be able to sense that.
He seemed more of a fighter not a strategist, where as she was both. She could not only plan out a series of attacks but execute them with almost always deadly precision, though however good at both she was, she also knew when things were getting out of hand, and in this battle it appeared that they were starting to. If any more of the Gyrada showed up, they would have no choice but to try to out fly them, but that was easier said than done. Right now as it stood though, it appeared that they would have to fight to get out, and would most likely have to even if a fourth showed up, it would however almost eliminate any chance of survival as she would not be able to come up with a suitable plan for the fight. She was going to tell this other dragon her plan, but first thing she needed to know was if this dragon was willing to do as she said and follow her lead or if he would rather die in their clutched like most of the other hard-headed lizards she had been forced to fight with.

Monster was willing to fight, and he was willing to follow the shadow dragoness, but how could he trust her? He would be on his guard. He huried and folowed the shadow dragon. He thought, What if she just wants to kill me? He just had to trust her for now...
