(I've been meaning to make this reference for a little while, but at first, I wasn't sure whether there was some other thread that addressed it, and then I just kept making it needlessly complicated. |D I hope this version works! )
Below is the (in-universe) sequence of all the roleplay threads on the forum, along with their nicknames and starting dates. Notes are for those seeking a quick summary of the conflict and the current status of the RP. Bolded titles are where the "main" plot has taken place (in other words, they're the more important ones to know).
Since not everyone has the time to read every single roleplay, active and open threads will have a "suggested reading" section listing the threads most helpful to know before joining.
NOTE: This is not finished yet (though the other rps are pretty handily organized into parts/chapters), and the organizational system still needs some heavy tweaking. However, if there is anything glaringly wrong with this besides these, please let me know. I'll remove this message once this is fully updated.

• In the Wild (TW, The Wild): Started Dec 23, 2008. [Completed, closed]. Takes place in the immediate aftermath of the second clan war. The young gold dragon Blaze takes charge of a group of war-weary dragons and leads them in search of refuge.
• The Refuge (TR, Refuge): Started Apr 20, 2009. [Completed, closed]. Takes place immediately after In the Wild. Blaze's group is transported to Jana Hot Springs, but their troubles are far from over as an ancient power reawakens.
• Battle Training (BT): Started Aug 14, 2009. [Inactive, closed]. Takes place one month after The Refuge. Zarin has collected more than fifty dragons eager to learn how to fight, and many have become capable warriors and strategists in that time. But a series of conflicts quickly tears through the uneasy peace at the camp, and it's up to the characters to put things right.
• Hallow/Hollow House (HH): Started Nov 30, 2009. [Inactive, closed]. Takes place during/after Battle Training. A human known as Lord Relun enslaves solitary dragons and uses them for sport in the arena and labor in the mines.
"Book 2"
• The Disease (TD): Started Aug 13, 2009. [Completed, closed]. Takes place 19 years after In the Wild. A mysterious disease with infernal origins sweeps across Dragon-Essence, and a second generation of heroes steps up to save it.
• Dark Mirror (DM): Started Aug 25, 2009. [Completed, closed]. Takes place during The Disease. A failed wormhole has taken the heroes to a dimension where the battle against Desperanus was lost and the elemental dragon of shadow reigns supreme. Some familiar faces are found, but in Dark Mirror, even one's reflection has a dark side...
"Book 3"
• Let the Games Begin (LGB): Started Aug 5, 2010. [Completed, closed]. Takes place one year after The Disease. In the wake of the deadly disease, the dragons relax at the annual festival at the Ancient Tree. There are fireworks and food, storytelling and sparring.
"Book 4"
• Sorcerer's Destruction (SD): Started Nov 5, 2010. [Completed, closed]. Takes place a month after Let the Games Begin. It had been thought that the disease had killed off the dragons' greatest predators, the gyrada, these monstrous birds of prey make a reappearance. And that's not all—controlling them is an army of wizards and sorcerers from the continent, ready to "reclaim" Dragon-Essence for humanity.
• A Dragon is Born: Started May 23, 2011. [Completed, closed]. Non-canon. Takes place sometime around Sorcerer's Destruction. Sol'Lux helps care for an orphaned hatchling.
"Book 4.5"
• Vanguard: Into the Abyss (VITA, Vanguard): Started Oct 27, 2012. [Active, restricted to new players]. Takes place sometime after Let the Games Begin. A group of undersea explorers accidentally stumble upon an ancient power that was not meant to be disturbed, and their disappearance brings a new trouble to the shores of Dragon-Essence.
(There is no suggested reading, but participation is limited because the characters were obtained through a character exchange.)
"Book 5"
• Young Blood (YB): Started Jul 7, 2011. [Completed, closed]. Takes place 6 years after Let the Games Begin. The next generation of hatchlings come face-to-face with the return of the wizards in what started as a harmless quest, but soon becomes a fight to survive the new onslaught.
• Let the Games Begin II: Return of the Games (LTGB, LGB2, Return of the Games): Started Sept 3, 2012. [Completed, closed]. Takes place shortly after Young Blood. Again saved from disaster (for now), the inhabitants of Dragon-Essence meet for the annual festival once more—a few days to finally ease the anxieties of clan life.
Other/Miscellaneous Roleplays:
Eternal Bonds: Set on Earth, the elves and the dragons live and work together, bonded from birth. The elements are divided into four clans: Water, Earth, Fire, and Air, but legends of the long-lost Light and Dark Clans have more truth to them than it would seem.
• Prequel: Banished Bonds (BB): Started Oct 6, 2011. [Completed, closed]. Takes place over a thousand years before Eternal Bonds, when the six clans were not nearly so divided. The annual Delver Carnival is disrupted by an alchemist's experiment gone wrong, and the pairs thrown together by chance will soon discover something greater threatens the clans, and those responsible are prepared to do anything to maintain power.
• Eternal Bonds (EB): Started May 28, 2009. [Completed, closed]. At the conclusion of the quarterly meeting of the clans, a mysterious shadow assassin and his dragon attack young fire pair Amber and Firen, apparently without reason. The council are unconvinced that the Dark Clan—a mere myth—could be responsible for the damage, but the exiled pair and their friends come to learn more and more about the return of a clan too powerful to stop. Its leader, known only as the Master, wants Amber dead—but why?
• EB p.2 The Dark Times (EB2): Started May 22, 2010. [Completed, closed]. Takes place immediately after the end of Eternal Bonds—about two and a half years after its start. The clans are in tatters, either enslaved by the Dark Clan or clustered together in shaky resistance. Amber is leader of the Mountain Range Resistance, but truth be told, she finds herself closer to the Dark Clan than she'd care in more ways than one. Her father, Pyhrros, and his dragon Saratheen, have been captured by the Dark Clan, which plans to turn the former threats to the Master into weapons for themselves. The Dark Clan readies itself to deal a final strike to the resistance, while the rebels scramble to stay out of reach.
Croatoan (Croa): Set in a distant future, the crew of one massive spaceship awake from stasis and discover that they have no idea who they really are. The more they learn, the more it appears that something much, much bigger than themselves is at work.
• Chapter 1: Survival Instincts (CH1): Started Feb 2, 2012. [Completed, closed]. On a gigantic and damaged spaceship, the survivors of its crew awake with no memories of who they are or how they got there.
• Chapter 2: Zenith (CH2): Started Feb 14, 2012. [Completed, closed]. The crew stumbles across a mysterious planet called Zenith, and they travel to its surface in search of supplies . . . but find much more than they bargained for.
• Chapter 3: Encounter (CH3): Started Feb 21, 2012. [Completed, closed]. An intruder on the ship causes trouble and injures Tal'Set, who is then put into stasis for his own safety. The Croatoan encounters another ship that appears to be friendly, but it is destroyed by enemy vessels before the crew can learn any more about themselves. They do, however, receive incomplete coordinates to an unknown location from the ship—another step forward in their journey.
• Chapter 4: Borderline (CH4): Started Mar 16, 2012. [Completed, closed]. After the ship's first jump towards the coordinates they were given, the crew finds themselves in an inhabited system, and they head planetside in search of advanced medical assistance for Tal'Set. When the crew raises locals' suspicions, Ariaka heads to the rescue to extract them all in one piece—and barely manages to do the same for herself.
• Chapter 5: Lost and Stranded (CH5): Started Aug 10, 2012. [Completed, closed]. Following a crash jump and power surge, the Croatoan is left damaged and largely without power, the crewmates isolated and haunted by unknown dangers and their own memories and fears. A new enemy strikes and forces them to abandon ship.
• Chapter 6: No Return (CH6): Started Jan 29, 2013. [Active, open]. With the Croatoan destroyed and much of the crew still missing, Ariaka brings the escape ship to a deserted planet so they can gather their wits. Not only have they escaped, but it's unlikely their enemies will ever find them again—another panicked jump away from battle has landed them in the Andromeda galaxy, and they are now separated from their pasts by a distance impossibly vast.
