Everyone knows anything evil is a "demon". XD Maybe we should call them something else. Devils. XD rofl Over your rotting corpse, eh? That can be arranged. /shot Besides, Phoenicia is pretty evil. I wouldn't doubt her capable of trying to take over the world. XD And lol yeah when in doubt, throw in some demons. A few posts back I mentioned something about them having ifrit familiars, did I not? Maybe they are what corrupted them in the first place. Don't forget Asmodeus is also from hell, maybe he's a sellout... muhahahah.

Ideas for the Atlantis RP: If i just could remember WTH we were talking about xD
Ok, so the idea is to play on a world that will get overrun by aliens. The arrogance of the locals will cause instability among them, so they are unable to mount some serious defense, yada yada, ka boom, go spider thingys. The setup of the world: Inhabitants: Elves, dragons Magic/elemental control: All control of the elements is in magic. Everyone can decide which school of magic to follow. The schools might be element based (for example school of fire/dark magic) or theme based ( i.e. school of battle/crafting spells). The amount of spells to learn is quite vast, so most people only learn one school. If somebody can say that they know majority of two teachings, their bones don't move very well and won't do so for much longer. Now for the evil attackers: 6-legged centaur-shaped insect-like things, work name BIMs - Big Insect Monsters. The first one to come with suitable name gets a cookie. They can control all kinds of magic, though most of them tends to necromancery and voodoo. They share collective intelligence - the more there is the smarter they are.

To add to that some spells would be intrinsic, or maybe just taught at a young age. As in most dragons would be able to heal and teleport, and make things float, etc, though of course without training these skills wouldn't be very advanced. 0-0 (Say, hatchlings might be able to teleport a few feet away while an adult could teleport outside the city. And further, with training. etc etc)

I like the idea of auto magic. though I would think teleporting would be too much (of course I'm thinking about this scientifically, and this is magic, so maybe my voice in the matter is not valid). Maybe condense water from the air, create fire (tiny flames)/ electricity (as in spark form for the second). But ya, simple stuff that they learn on their own or maybe from a older sibling?
and when did the elves come up? I like the idea cuz that would explain the EB characters.
(OT:) Heheh, these sentient beings remind me of the flood from Halo. Basically in halo they are these parasite things that can take over any creature with a big enough body (like a human). If there are enough flood then they combine to become a Gravemind, which is really old and really intelligent.

Yeah, the elves probably come in handy for some of the more delicate tasks.

The elves were "planted" there along with dragons by Elemental dragons, and they should be diffrent from Earth's

What if the elves of Atlantis were more . . . alien than the ones of Earth? They could've been a "prototype" for the species. I mean, they should still retain certain characteristics of Germanic elves, but also be much haughtier and maybe more technologically advanced.

The Earth was a prototype for all colonies so if something, they are a try to improve, definitely not prototype I don't like too much of technological advance, i like to stick to complicated magic much more. I joined this site to play fantasy, not sci-fi, but hey, if you overvote me then be my guest

spider centar thing: Widowmagir (widow-mah-geer), widow as in the Black Widow (think of the "g" having a "j" sound to it)
aka: spidey's, you know like a military nick name.
yes, no technology for me, though I have to say if it was technology made to enhance or focus magic then I, personally, would be good.

(@ Nohiki): So says the man who introduced element-guns into the roleplay. XD I'm actually glad you said that, though. I prefer fantasy to sci-fi, just thought that technology might reduce the call for it in the other roleplays. *coughcough*Mortyandherrobotdragons*cough* And I had thought that Atlantis came first, sorry for the confusion. Miliptera for the insect people? Can't think of a good nickname for them, though, and I don't think "millies" sounds very intimidating. Something ending in -pod, perhaps? ...On a slightly-unrelated note, having reread the history of the planets, I did notice one incongruence between the history and the actual contents of EB. In EB, it's occasionally mentioned that the dragons on Earth actually came from DE. I don't know which one would be easier to change, but I'm just bringing it up.

to my defense, I did promise not to go way advanced with the weapons. The most i would have done probably would have been a really old chainsaw.
As for this story thing, these spells remind me a lot of D&D. Just because of how its specific to one type of thing. This made me think about our current combat system (if you can even call it a system.) If you're wondering where this is going, let me get to the point. For this we should make a new combat system that will make it more interesting. Instead of someone saying "I attacked so-and-so." and then the other person deciding if it hit or not, it would be both roll a dice (this is only and example we don't to do it this way.) if the person attacking gets a higher number then they hit, but the power of the hit is determined by the difference in number. (So say with d6's, a 5 vs a 4 wouldn't do as much damage as a 5 vs a 1.) I think we should give something like this a try, test it out in the Atlantis RP and see if we should continue it. I say this mainly because i really get tired of stuff like. "I attacked this person." "This person was a shadowclone." "I kill everything." "Everything was a shadowclone."

Yeah. XD With Dark gone, though, a lot of the over-poweredness is also gone. I quite like the current battle system, since it feels more like strategy than luck. Everyone is pretty respectful of each other's actions, yet it's still fun to come up with creative ways to fight. But that might just be me and my fondness for dragging-on-foreverness. If I wanted something as ordered as D&D, I'd just play that.

EVERYTHING WAS A SHADOW CLONE!!11!1!!ONE1! eue Heh, you guys have some very good ideas. I think Ghaen had a good system, just needed some work on how you gain points and stuff. Like having the older dragons vastly overpower the younger ones; that was pretty unfair even though you could always rely on some teleportation spirit FFFFFF. No spirits anymore please. ;AT Hahaha I can't help but think of a system like Pokemon in this situation. XD
