EB p.2 The Dark Times

Ignis woke up. She didn't know how long was she lying on the floor, but it was dark outside. She found very disturbing that for some reason she woke up hugging Targus who was still asleep. "EEEWWW!" she whispered and got up slowly so she wouldn't wake him up, only to get a massive piercing headache. "Ouuuch. What a mess. What a mess!" she said, still whispering as she thought any noise will cause her head to explode. Her throat felt like it was on fire. She Wanted to walk out to get a barrel of water, bus she held it by the door. "Afraid of Amber. Afraid of Amber. Afraid of Ambe. For the next week." she whispered for herself and lied on her bed, drinking some water she had there.

Targus woke up and looked around, he was still in Ignis's room. He tried getting up only to fall down again. "Ow, my head hurts. Never drinking that stuff again." He then realized two things. 1. he had just spent most of the day drunk in a female's room. Agate would probably make fun of him for that. and 2.......Targus got a smile. "I won. i remember you passing out, which means i was still awake after you. I WON! OW why did i yell that."

[Zetherus]

A voice echoed threw the shadows when all time suddenly paused around Zetherus ,"You won't make it far in this world if you keep disobeying me and my gifts I gave you, warrior?

Zetherus' body sunk into the ground underneath the fire dragon without anyone noticing and slowly floated down on to a iron walkway leading to a table with a grim looking demon sitting behind it.
"What " spoke Zetherus "I never accepted anything from you except for pain, and revenge".

The demon leaned forward in the iron chair "Sure you did" said the demon "like your sister, now your home. What else should I take from you, maybe that armor and sword I just gave to you eh."

The demon brought his hand up and curled his index finger that made Zetherus slide across the walkway toward the front of the table by a force unknown then stopped five feet from it with a iron chair left of him. ",I'm called the Inquisitor and there is nothing you can do here in my presents but watch as I could rip that dragon hart of out of your chest, IF, of course, you were to try anything foolish. Now please have a seat so I may discuss to you the promise that your father made, to make you my temporary slave"?

Zetherus looked at the demon with a smile as he heard the demand ",You think I would be your slave because my father said so, that's when your wrong demon, I will never be your slave." Zetherus went to grab the sword from his sheath, but as he went to grab the handle the sword vanished from his side and into the left hand of the Inquisitor.
"Not so fast, like I said before you try to screw with me and I'll rip your hart out"

The Inquisitor lunged out of his chair then thrusts his hand into Zetherus' chest grabbing his hart ,"You WILL obey me otherwise I will kill you and absorb your soul".

Pain shot threw Zetherus like a lightning bolt as the Inquisitor entered his chest and gripped his hart (Gasps in air coughs rapidly until blood gargled out of mouth) ,"Go ahead and kill me, there is nothing for me here anyways but a life of death and deception".

",Your father said you would be hard to convince" spoke the Inquisitor "Lets cut to the chase. If you do not find the Rod of Reanimation for me, I will disembowel your sister in front of you as you sit locked in a chair dieing from the lack of your missing hart. So what will it be Death or Life for you and your sister ether way I win".

Zetherus had his hand clutched hard like a rock until he let go and fell to his knees as the Inquisitor pulled his hand out from his chest ,"I will do as you ask Inquisitor" spoke Zetherus "And retrieve the Rod of Reanimation".

The Inquisitor smiled and said ,"That a boy, now you remember what I will do if you disobey me. Now return to the world of the living and claim my prize".

The wound in Zetherus' chest healed and the armor breast plate that broke was repaired instantly then he felt like he had full control over his wings.

The Inquisitor sat back down in his chair and spoke out ,"You have been granted the power to fly as if you already knew how too, this will make your life and your sister's much easier so enjoy the search, SLAVE"?

[Midnightmoon]

Again Amber paused before speaking. "We have a team out there now specifically looking for refugees. Right now they are seaching the area near where they found you guys. Then we have other teams out there who have other main objectives but their secondary objective is to bring in refugees if they find them. I can't not say your friends will be found, but I will say we are trying. Now, you need to get checked out. Come on." Amber waved them to follow her back to the others.

[Morty]

The refugee nodded and let the medics lead him back to the infirmiry tent, his dragon trailing behind. "All I know is something very bad is on its way. I hope your rebels are prepared for the worse."

[Midnightmoon]

"Don't you worry about us. For now worry about yourself until your cleared." Amber responded. When it was confirmed the Air Clan member was physically fit Missa came over with. "Would you please place your hands on the table sir? There is one last thing to do before your assigned a sleeping quarters." She said nodding to the "table" which was essentially just a block of rock sticking out of the ground. In her hands was a flat circular piece of glass about the size of a dinner plate which appeared to have flecks of silver and gold in it.

"No painkillers for you because of that shouting, not that i have any." whined Ignis after the shout. "Yeah, you won." she said and poked him to the chest, not fully realizing he had ribs broken. "You should PROBABLY see a medic or something. Heh, and while you're there they'll put you on detox, now that would be fun." barked the fire elf, back to her usual self. "Another bottle?" she said and swung another bottle of the fiery liquid in front of Targus' eyes.

"Medic? HA, i once had my arm, 3 ribs, my knee and my shoulder broken and i didn't need medical help." Targus said grabbing the back of a chair to help him stand. Ignis started waving the bottle in his face, he pushed it away. "Never thought i'd say this but i've had enough alcohol for now. Besides, its bad enough i spent most of the night in here. Agate wouldn't never let me live it down if i stayed longer."

"Don't you guys, like, communicate with minds? Sure you can excuse yourself. And the evidence only confirms what i thought for some time. Your head must have also got quite banged up and you forgot to visit the doctor." she said and locked the door. Then she poked Targus to the chest to distract him by pain, and smacked him on the bed and unbuttoned his shirt. He had a large blue stain on his chest. "Inner bleeding. Send me a psot card when you start coughing up blood and i'd know it's the last one." she said, unlocking the door and shouting out. "We've got a wound here." then she turned back. "Since Amber won't fight me and you're my only remaining match on this whole damn rock, you gotta be in shape in case i get angry and need to take it out on somebody." she said when two medic elves ran in.

"Well he likes to do this thing where he claims to know what went on and i forgot because i was drunk and OW what the f***." Ignis pushed Targus on her bed and opened his shirt up. "When did that get there? Look im fine i dont need." He started but two medics ran in. "Oh yeah thats just great, why don't you tell the whole base while you're at it." "Don't worry, ill do that for ya." Agate was right outside the door with an evil grin. "Don't even start." Targus glared pointing at him.

[Morty]

The light clan refugee warily placed his hands on the table, his dragon sitting down nearby.

[Midnightmoon]

Holding the glass disc firmly in one hand Missa put her hand out at the block table. Mumbling a few words rock came up and enveloped the air members hands up to his mid fore arm. "Don't move. It's just a precaution while i check something." Missa said. Her dragon came over to sit in front of the air dragon to watch him intently. Missa came up behind the air member and brought the disc up to his head. Looking though it she continued around him to repeat with all sides of his head. "Your clean. Sorry about that." Missa said releasing him before continuing to explain. "The Dark Clan had come up with a new way to infiltrate our ranks, inserting some of the potion stuff they have into the victims brain."

Ignis waved her hand as the medics left with Targus. "That should teach him... US... something about drinking. Horrible stuff. I think this will keep him... US... from the nearest ale for loooong time." she noticed to Agate. "Too bad i was fair. Now he thinks he won while i could have cheated. So, you want any details? You k now, just in case you need to blackmail him someday."

[Awesomoman]

"Oh i know everything that happened. i bet i know more than you." Agate said proudly. He leaned in closer to Ignis. "Like, why you woke up hugging him."

"Write it down on a piece of paper but don't tell me, I'll read it when i will have the guts to do so but it scares the hell out of me. Now please do me a favor and be quiet!" she said silently and went back to bed. This hangover will take some time to sleep off. She still thought Agate was kidding but she realized that sound might still got through the wooden door. Ooooh crap! she thought and fell asleep.
