"I." said a vibrantly red fire dragon, stepping forward. A group of seven other dragons stepped forwards aswell. "My warriors and I will be eager to hold down the fort." he said stoically.

Gorn didn't know what to say, he had no idea what to do now. They came all this way to get what, a few dragons? That would do well against a FEW gryadas, but they were up against an army. Gorn walked to the room Fire showed them, walked into a corner and then sat down, he had to think of something to help. He didn't rest or eat when the food came, he just and thought of some way they could get through this.

Fireheart returned to the hut. "Well, you're on better than i expected, you've got eight of my warriors. Trust me, it's well enough to make a difference." he smiled at Gorn: "You know, you've shown me the way once i saw your inventions, so i tasked few dragons with R&D. Look." he said and took a thing he was hiding on his back. It looked like a gun. He put a charged energy crystal into it and pointed out of the window. Then he pulled the trigger and a blue ball of ions went out at high speed, leaving a thin blue trail. "One crystal has approximately 100 rounds before they have to recharge. Substitute different elemental crystals and you'll get different weapons, some can be amplified more by modifying the barrel, for example with optics. If gyrada's can have weapons, so can we, right? We call them EES - elemental energy savers." he demonstraded and passed it to them. "And i can spare a lot of these." he winked.

Gorn saw the gun and smiled. "Fire, im sorry i doubted you." He picked it up and got an evil grin. "Now THIS is an invention.....hhhhmmmm." Gorn took out the crystal then opened up the gun. Slipping on his goggles he changed a few things then put it back together. He put the crystal back in and fired it once more, only this time 3 shot out. "This will help more than you know, but there is obviously more to the Gryadas attacks than we know, its safe to assume that they still have to advantage." Gorn thought for a second. "Does anyone here have a compass?"

Fireheart scratched a thin and few centimeters long piece off the gun, rubbed it against a bear fur that decorated the wall of the wooden building. Then he pointed on a leave on a tree outside and it flown right into his hand. He put the leave on Gorn's glass of water so it was floating on the surface and put the shrapnel on it. It instantly turned north. (OOC: Bear Grills, i never thought i'll use your adivce.) "There ya go." he said. "Well, i can't offer you much more. I can only promise you that we try to hold as much of them as we can here, but if some already got through then they're leaking somewhere where we can't reach them. I'll also task my island scouts with sharing our intel and bringing here whatever information you may have. I also have something for you, I know you have weakness for them. Happy B-day." he said to Phoenicia and uncloaked an armor that was standing in the room. Phoenicia shrieked with happiness. "You bastard! I almost thought you'll forget! Oh my this looks awesome." she said and started putting it on. When she was done, instead of her usual white she was shining silver. "Thanks!" she said and wanted to bash Fireheart friendly, but after she closed her fist, a sword shot out of the hand cover, closely missing her eye. "HEY WHATA? Oh, nice. Thanks, but you should give me a manual for this thing." Fireheart turned back to Gorn. "What's up with the compass?"

"Finding out where they came from. gryadas aren't usually organised like this." He thought back to when he and Isk were attacked and which direction they came from. "So the fact that they keep coming back in organised and obviously planned out waves means one thing." Gorn walked to the window. "There's more to this then any of us know." Gorn looked at the compass. "Well Gorn you know where they come from now, but that still doesn't explain why....Guess you'll have to find out." Gorn turned to Fire. "I have an plan, but its going to be dangerous."

"Seriously? I've been in two wars, i've been jumping from planet to planet, I almost got killed by freaky spider things and you tell me something might be dangerous? Spit it out, what is it? What do you think we don't know?" he said inpatiently. He turned around and shouted on the deployment team: "Guy, take about 50 EESs with you!" he turned left: "Shar'Lin! You'll be going with them to gather information and return the next day!" he said and went back. "Well?"

"Knowing is half the battle, right now we need to know what is the cause of all the gryadas." Gorn pointed out the window. "I just determined where they are. If i could get to their base and see just whats going on it would really help us in figuring out a way to stop them. All i have to do is not get mauled, decapitated, disemboweled, etc. Easy right?" Gorn with a smile.

Fireheart teleported them to the tactical room. It was obviously underground. The walls, ceiling and floor were made out of steel and the room was filled with light, yet no source seemed to be present. He created a hologram of the land around the base on the big round table in the middle of the room. "Can you show me where do you think they are?"

Gorn walked up to the table and examined it a little. "Riiiiiiiigggghhhhhhhhht HERE!" He pointed on the map. "About 48 miles north east of here. Course i doubt its their main base, but its still just as good for info."

"We've lost three watchers there. We went to search the area but found nothing, and because we didn't see the gyradas have help, we just assumed they had bad luck and ran into their wave. But your reasoning seems to be correct. Wery well. I'll send a commando in there, but you should go home and talk to the archons or whatever those leaders of yours are called." he snorted. "I still can't believe you guys actually live with it. Well, at least now that government will be put into a test. I'll inform you through the scout Shar'Lin about the outcome." he teleported them back to the center of their camp. The nine dragons and crates with weapons were already in place. "Good luck." he said and seven more dragons gathered around, each rising a hand, Fireheart with them. Their hands connected in an octagram and before they knew it, they were back on the island.
"Well, that was fast." noticed Phoenicia, turning around. "I still can't figure out how eight of you is gonna make a difference." she pointed to the new guys. Fraziel sighed: "Watch 'n' learn." he said and hit the ground. Few dozens of ten meters high ice stalagmites grown in the field in front of them. "We're all more skilled here than you, little girl, so unless you want to be turned into a minced meat i suggest you show some respect." he barked and turned away.

"Well, at least they're friendly." Gorn sarcastically said. "Well, time to go inform" "KAAAAAAA" ".....ffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" Gorn turned to see about 4 gryadas. "Well, guess thats not TOO bad. You guys think you can take 'em?" Gorn asked the others.

"Pheh, show me what you got, young ones!" said Fraziel and passed Gorn and Phoenicia guns. "No thanks, i preffer to do it on my own. Leave them to me, i need to fieldtest this thing." said Phoenicia and started hovering. FWOOOOSH Two fireballs formed in her hands. The birds were closing in fast. Phoenicia targeted and swung her hands forward. Two flame pillars went out to meet the gyradas. One of them burned instantly, the other avoided but caught on fire. Phoenicia swumg her wings and with a roar she went after the creature. they collided and turned into a ball of fighting limbs. Phoenicia used her superior body strength and quickly snapped the gyrada's neck. Third one came however from behind and it's beak made it's way on Phoenicia's back. With loud CLANG the beak slid on the armor. Phoenicia wrapped her tail around the gyrada and pushed with all force, stabbing the thorns that were on the tail plates into it's body. Finally she turned to the last one and blinded it with light beams, leaving it to look around hopelessly for few seconds before she cut it's head off. "Boo ya." "Hm, i see some potential there." noted Fraziel, "So what's the plan? You two have an army or something?"

Gorn clapped when Phoenicia killed the gryadas but stopped as soon as Fraziel asked him if they had an army. "Well, um, you see, funny thing. Um, you kind of ARE our army." Gorn said trying to keep a fake smile. "We're on our way to tell the officials about all this and maybe they'll send some more help but all in all you're the main force. On the bright side you get to.....um.....never mind. Lets just go." Gorn started walking. ""Well, I'm off to a good start."

Fraziel sighed in resignation. "What have we got ourselves into? Chief is right, this Islanders ARE nuts!" he pointed to Rose. "Just pick up the luggage and follow the guy, pleeeease?" said the scout. "I'll go attend my bussiness." she said and took off, heading someplace else. Fraziel frowned and flown over one of the crates, grabbing the rope that was tied around it. "Where to, amir?" he asked Gorn.
