Let the Games Begin

"Yes, i like 'em. In fact i think i keep 'em 4ever!" she said and cloaked. Then she hovered around him and put the googles on his face and went to visible spectrum. "Or not. Where the hell have you been? Haven't heard anything about you since we went each other's way after we beaten that weak sucker Corvus." she laughed and grabbed something to eat, "Got any plans for fun?"

Sol'Lux was back at the elders' branch . She sighed. Have we ever been that crazy when we were or pretended to be so young? she asked herself. Then she remembered her snowball fights with Starlight. Guess we were. Where is she anyway? she said and fell into meditation. Her mind opened and searched for Starlight's. She found and recognized her, but ran into a solid ice wall. Goooooood! she thought and created her hologram nearby. "Nice block, next time i'll bring a drill." the hologram said, "Are you coming to the Tree?"

Gorn pushed his goggles back up. "You mean you beat him, all i did was taze him once or twice. And i really haven't been doing much, non of my inventions are really revolutionary yet. Oh yeah, this is my bud Isk, we've been pals for a while now. And this s Zephyr, the hatchling that asked to wear my goggles." Gorn finished the leg he had and grabbed another. "As for fun. *munch* we're still working on that."

"Well, i've heard rumors Naïma is here. Never seen her though i wanted to for quite some time. And then there's the arena, if any of you thinks you can do better than tie with me." she poked the guys. "And i'm always for playing cards. What do you say?"

"Unless they dont mind explosives then i dont think ill be able to, but im all for finding Naïma. Im not as good as i used to be at detecting life energy but i might be able to find her. Just let me finish this." Gorn started chomping down his deer leg.

Phoenicia smiled lightly when Gorn mentioned explosives. She ignited her finger and started moving it slowly towards his bag, waiting for the fireworks, one or the other way.

Gorn noticed Phoenicia's finger just in time, he pulled his bag away quickly. "FYI, my bag is flame proof, and for good reasons. If all the stuff i had in here lit up, then you can say good bye to the ancient tree."

Zephyr now had a stronger beam going, making the grass burn and scorch, but the power still wavered. Stopping the flow Zephyr began again with a new patch of grass, still trying to make the flow constant and the power build up faster. As he chewed on his last bite of meat he raised his free hand saying, "I'm going to the arena. Aha!" He didn't look up again till he finished this beam, which was better then the last. He glanced over to the new dragon, quickly turning his sight back to Gorn though. "What next?" Zephyr asked excitedly, eager to learn something else.

Starlight looked up from her ice fishing, still crouched over the hole she had cut out of the ice. "Ya, with all the free time I've got I've had plenty of time to practice, not to mention grab some more tips on other things from the orb you gave me long ago." She said to the image across from her, then went back to looking down at the water. Raising her arm slowly she continued to talk. "I don't know if I'm going this year. Why?" She glanced up with a suspicious smile,, eyes twinkling. "Are you bored?" Fore arm dashing in to the water, barely breaking the surface, she came out with a splashing fish speared at the tips of her now ice elongated claws. She continued with a thoughtful look. "I guess I would do us both good for me to go." She ate the fish in a gulp and shook away the ice. "Ok then. I'll see you later then." Starlight got up then and stretched her muscles, extending her wings.

"YES! YES I'M BORED OUT OF MY MIND!" shouted the hologram and thrown a projected snopwball. It went right through Starlight and dispersed when it 'hit' the ground. "Please be fast, or else i'll go nuts."

"I think you underestimate the tree. See when it get's older it hardens the wood instead of growing. And well, this fella has been here for a while. As for me right after the air dragon's show i'm gonna have a brawl. I haven't beaten anyone up since the disease went out."

"And some people might consider that a good thing," Naïma said with a smile, coming up behind the younger dragons. "How are you all?"

"Aaaaaaand here she comes! The most skilled acrobat on the world! NAÏMA!" said Phoenicia dramatically and lit up few light balls, all pointing their lights to the air dragoness like on a parade. She snapped her fingers and the lights went out. "I'm fine. You think you'll win?"

Naïma laughed. "That was . . . slightly unexpected." She settled down and glanced over at Zephyr, clearly amused by the hatchling's eagerness. "And do you mean the aerial competition?" she asked, turning her attention back to Phoenicia. "To tell the truth, I'm not quite sure. But today's a day for having fun, and I definitely plan to enjoy myself."
She looked up suddenly as a series of bells chimed out from one of the highest branches. "Ah, gotta go. I'll see you guys around," Naïma called, taking to the air. "And if you go into the arena, try not to enter yourself in a category you know you can't handle, okay?" She shot off, a streak of white against the foliage.

Phoenicia looked up. "Did you ever thought about how can she go so fast with those tiny wings?" she asked the company. She picked up a bucket of some weird looking liquid and emptied it. Her face changed into very unhappy. "What the heck is that?" A nearby dragon answered: "Carrot syrup." Phoenicia shook her head. "From now on i only drink water. This is dangerous. Well, hatchling, if you wanna to the arena then follow me." she said and flown few branches up, signing to the middle weight.

Gorn laughed as Phoenicia drank the juice. "I guess i should have warned you, then again the smell was enough info for me." As she flew off he turned back to the hatchling. "Alright, you go the beam down? now i want you to swipe as you shoot it." Gorn turned to a tree and swiped shooting a wave this time that sliced a tree in half. "Its not as powerful but its a wider shot, helps in case your up against someone with expert dodging skills."

Flexing his claws Zephyr started practicing that move, of course after a few minutes he had to drop the practice because it was nearly time for the arena. "I gotta go, the fighting's going to start soon, and I still have to sign up. I'll see you later Gorn, Iskander." At the sign up sheet he looked up to the dragon setting it all up. "But I want to sign up for the middle league." "And I said you can't." The burely earth dragon said again. "Your not big enough or at least heavy enough to join up. You'll have to wait a few years." "I can take it!" "No. Now if you want to sign up you'll just have to contend with the little weight this year." Zephyr was going to talk up again when a chilly wind came though and with it a voice, "Why don't you just sign up for the little weight fights, little hatchling. You can sign up for this next year." An ice dragon said behind him. Looking behind him to get a better Zephyr saw she looked like any other ice dragon if a bit out of breath. Leaning down to him smiling, she added, "And besides, if you win the little league you can show everyone else how you should have been placed a league higher." Zephyr pout one a stuborn pout but the ice dragon did have a tempting point. "Ok then, little league please." he finally said, if with a bit of reluctance. "Finely." The earth dragon muttered then turned to the ice dragon. "Are you signing up for anything?" "I guess I will. Middle league." "Name?" "Starlight."

"damn, up until now i've had it won for free, now it'll be a challenge." said Phoenicia behind her back. "Hi. How you been?" she asked and checked the board with the names of the fighters.
Sol'Lux was at the treetop. She could see all of the island from up here, and the snow on the top of the tree looked like no foot or paw stood on it for quite some time. She could also see a blue dragon approaching from the north. She went invisible and gone to the arena branch to do something nasty for a while.
