Let the Games Begin

"Better then the last time we all saw each other." Starlight said to Sol'Lux's daughter. "Anyway, Sol'Lux convinced me to come, said she was bore out of her mind. Thought might as well have some fun while I'm at it. This will certainly be a interesting fight."

"Yap. I just hope i don't pick you till the finals, cuz your element i can't beat." said Phoenicia, hoping to make starlight at least a little overconfident and bust out before they have a chance to meet, though she doubted that would work. Sol'Lux silently crawled behind them and listened. "Come, it's about to begin!" said Phoenicia and went forward. Sol'Lux hovered in front of Starlight and when she thought she least expects it, she went visible with a loud 'BOOO!'

[Kauria]

"Shya-tael? Can you tell uth a story?" a fluffy air dragon chick pleaded, dangling upside-down from a narrow branch.
"No." Shya was draped over a low bough, watching her apprentice dart from cooking fire to cooking fire below. Somehow, he was managing to keep the food from burning and the flames from sputtering out, despite his slight limp.
The hatchling's companions joined in. "Pleeease?" A centipede crawled over the first dragonet's tail, and he dropped beside Shya with a surprised yelp. Looking up into her disapproving eyes, he squinched his face into what he hoped was a charming grin.
"I'm not much of a storyteller. Go ask my apprentice," Shya sighed, looking away.
"It's true, she's terrible at stories," her pupil cut in, nodding sagely up at the hatchlings. They giggled.
Shya shot him a poisonous glare. "You know that's not what I meant. I'm going to go see who's signed up for the arena and enter myself." She hopped up a branch and turned to stick out her tongue at her student and the amused younglings before continuing on her way.

[Midnightmoon]

"Nice try." Starlight said with a sly smile. "You and i both know that fire exceeds ice on equal grounds...geez!" Starlight took a step back, eying the now visible Sol'Lux. "Should have seen that coming, of course, should have sensed it too. Of course no one is perfect. You going to watch? Or are you and me gonna go head to head at the last battle instead of your daughter?"

[Kauria]

"Wow," Shya said, springing up another branch to join the three other dragonesses. "I probably should have expected to see you all here, but I'm still surprised." She grinned. "What category are you guys going for?"

[Nohiki]

"None. Personally i have had enough fighting in my life so now i'm just gonna sit here and enjoy the show while you beat the life out of each other." said Sol with a vicious smile. "I'm in the middle weight, though only cuz i'm a girl. For some reason unknown to me they allow us 5 kilograms heavier. Well, maybe the males will reconsider once i'm through with them." said Phoenicia and looked at Starlight: "re you kidding me? Look at my Bro. He frozen every time your daughter got close, tough in his case who know if their elements were the reason. And if you can manage to make you armor rou... HMPH!" Sol'Lux squeezed her lips. "Are you telling your enemy how to beat you?" Phoenicia stuck her tongue out as she couldn't do much else. "How about you, Shya, you're fighting?"

[Kauria]

"Yeah, but I'm not sure which category to enter," she said, examining the lists. "What do you think?"

[Nohiki]

"I've never fought you. Go to the same as i do." said Phoenicia. Then she looked at the considerably slimmer, lighter, but probably far more agile dragoness. "I think it's a fair fight. Same element, strength versus agility. Unless Starlight makes ann ice cube out of one of us till we meet." The arena crier shouted her name and her opponent. "Oh well, looks like it's trashing time." she said and stretched her neck. She walked to the arena, while Sol'Lux took a seat in the front line, reserving the spots for the others. "Watch this, i give the poor guy 15 seconds." she said, looking at Phoenicia's opponent. It begun. Phoenicia leaped up and the water dragon followed her. She phased out and dodged him, swiping her hand... And the dragon gone straight to the ground, leaving a crater on the floor. "10,5 seconds." she corrected Sol'Lux and landed near them.

[Kauria]

"Middleweight it is, then," Shya said, grinning as she gazed over at the arena. "Hopefully, one or two egos will get trimmed in the process." She leapt off the branch, soaring down to join the others.

[Nohiki]

"This is actually a great idea. It helps to settle things. Once upon a year everyone can let loose of his rage, whatever the reason you're angry for. But for me, it would help only if Zil was here. It's like he forgot we exist. Sure running a fortress and surroundings is a hard business but I think he's hiding behind it." Sighed Sol'Lux. "At least you have decided for somebody. In the last few months, i'm sorry to report that on the south isn't any high quality boy material left." countered Phoenicia, "And when it is about perserving the light element, i'm gonna be terribly picky." "What about you two?" they asked Simultaneously, looking at Starlight and Shya.

Shya put up her hands defensively. "What exactly are you two asking?"

[Nohiki]

"Rumors!" said Sol'Lux, "Gibberish!" added Phoenicia, "Funny stories!" "Blackmail material!" "News!" "Who died!" "You're twisted, kid!" said Sol'Lux and bashed Phoenicia. "SO?" "We're all ears."

[Midnightmoon]

"No one really comes to Frozen Lake. I've been at my little hut all by myself. thought it best to take some alone time for a little while. So I have nothing to report. Excuse me." It was Starlight's turn. She jumped down into the arena and a few seconds later a energy dragon jumped in. Considering he had a bit more speed that she did, it took Starlight a few minutes to pin him down and give him a good ice hardened "thwack" on the head. Then returned to the other. "Hoo, even my speed has a hard time keeping up with energy dragons. ok, what did I miss?"

[Kauria]

"Not much," Shya said, smiling. "We were watching you."
She looked to the announcer, shifting nervously. "It'll probably be my turn soon."

[Midnightmoon]

"Come now. Remember years ago you could hold your own against me? You'll be fine. Hah, that reminds me, do you also remember when we scared the living daylights out off all those other dragons in the Training Camp." Starlight said, nudging Shya, trying to cheer her up. "Hmm... maybe you can do that again in the fight... of course considering the dragon will be awake it won't be so drastic. But if it works it will be so funny."
