A Dragon is Born

[saphira]

"alright," saphira said before taking flight, " i'll try my best."
saphira flew up and did a corkspin down towards the beast and pulled up raking it with her talons. she landed kicked a couple pebbles up with her tail and used magic to send them flying at the beast very vast embedding the pebbles in the beasts muscles, then she raked her talons across the beasts side and picked it up ,carried it in the air and droped it on the rocks below.

"Hm, you know, in all my battles, i've never seen using the enviroment to your advantage like that. Very good." Said Sol'Lux and went to pack the stuff up. When they returned home, she put all the meat into the part of the cave where the magic kept temperatures around freezing so the supplies won't go off. " And because my ittle girl is so awesome, you're in for a treat." she smiled and led her to a tree that wass growing a strange shaped fruit, yet absolutely delicious.

"yum this stuff is delicious." saphira commented. "hey sol'ux how come there aren't that many dragons around here, i mean its beautiful with tons of room and prey."

"Time for another history lesson i see." she smiled and sat down. "The story of this place begins several years ago, when the second clan war was raging. There was a group of several young dragons, all younger than twenty except three, who wanted no part in it and went to hiding. This WAS their hideout. They lived here, while me and handful of others fought to stop one of the last beings that seeded life on this planet who has gone evil." she smiled. "If heroes were measured by effort alone, then we were great dragons. Starlight, Zarin, Ivy, Thorondar, Naïma, Darkring... They were the base of this era. And while the war sorted itself out, we were able to defeat the greater evil, and then we all went to our former homes, except me. I consumed too much of my guardian power and my spirit returned to it's star to recharge. Later i returned to aid fighting a plague destroying this land, but the younger generation slowly took over, so i refurbished this place, created a spell that imitates the sky, submerged a stram to get water here, magically simulate the climate throughout the cave and deposited all species of plants and wild life i found and sealed the cave until the disease passed. Then i started seeding the life back to the devastated land, and i've been doing it ever since, until i found you. What i used to be left me with more life power than any dragon could dream of, but i chose to keep this place running. It is draining me, but i still estimate to have more than fifty years. Considering i already lived centuries, i regret nothing. This become my home, and i think it's well worth keeping it." she explained. "Well, thanks to your skill we are supplied a lot more than we needed, so we're gonna have a long time to do whatever we want. If you wish to meet other dragons, that can certainly be arranged. come to think of it, we might go travelling, so you also get to know the island. Think about it, you have a free hand." she said, yawned and lied down, bathing in the light of her artificial sky.

saphira listens intently to sol'ux and once she finished talking saphira laid down by the plder dragon and thought about what she had said. as she thought of what the dragon said but as she thought she felt the call of sleep and closed her eyes. she wakes up an hour later and found sol'ux. "sol'ux i've made up my mind that i'd like to meet other dragons and go travelling."

Sol'Lux yawned and stretched her arms. "Very well." she said and a holographic map of the island appeared over them. She told Saphira all about where the dragon capitals are and what else is worth seeing. "Draw our path and we can go in two days. I'm expecting someone so we'll have to wait a bit." she said and stood up, thinking what they should take with them.

"alright," saphira said as she drew their route from the waterfall around to a couple of the capitals and the hotsprings and the ancient tree, " hey sol'ux do you think we'd make the yearly gathering?" thinking to herself "i wonder who sol'ux is expecting."

[Nohiki]

"Who knows if it is even being organized. I mean, somebody tried to pulverize us again." Sol'Lux shrugged. "Ah, there she goes!" she said and hurried to the cave entrance. "It's been a long time since you showed up." she said, "Hello daughter." she said and they did their secret greeting. "I am happy to announce that the wizards withdrawn. North is no longer off limits." smiled Phoenicia. Sol'Lux nodded. "I have someone to introduce. This young lady is Saphira. Saphira, meet Phoenicia, my daughter." she introduced the two. Phoenicia smiled and lowered her head. "It's very nice to meet you." she said and pulled something from her bag. She looked at Saphira for a second and did something with the item. Than she opened her hand and revealed a little tiara of light blue color, tipped with small sapphires all over and put it on Saphira's head. "I heard you are very skilled, that deserves little something in return." she said.

"oh wow thank you." saphira said before bounding off excitedley to her island. as she sat there she decided to practice her magic some more by playing with water and moving it around. what she did is she moved the water into the scene of one of her favorite stories The Two Fire dragon and the Ice dragon, it reminded her of her parents story it was two dragons that where never meant to be together and although they both died in the end it was the best(yes this story is taken off of Romeo and Juliet) she moved the water around and manipulated fire to be within them to be diferent colors andd let the story flow into them.

once she finished the story she decided to eat and inspect the crown that had been given to her by phoenicia.

"Well, shall we get going?" said Sol'Lux, her stuff packed on her bag. "Next stop Terra falls."

[saphira]

"alright," saphira said as she set the crown back on her head and grabed her stuff, "lets go."

[Nohiki]

--- One flight later---

"Well, this is it! Terra falls. A geology lesson. The mountain they come from is not really a mountain, it's a crater formed by a meteor. Over the time, it got filled with water, which falls down here and forms a river. It is said that precious metals of high price can still be found out there, notably on the ocean floor, like meteoric steel. However the lake also seres as huge reservoir of drinkable water, so bathing there will get a lot of people mad at you." shrugged Sol'Lux. "It is said earth dragons tried to run a shaft under the mountain but couldn't get through a layer of dark stone and left. We should also stay for the night, so you can see the famous night rainbow!" she said, dropping her bag.

"that sounds interesting," saphira says as she sets her bag down, "but im starving right now,so ill go hunt for now."

[Nohiki]

Sol'Lux nodded and said she'll gather firewood. When she was done, she snapped her fingers and a concentrated light lit it on fire. Then she looked into the river and sniped few salmons for herself, sticking them on a rod and putting them near the fireplace to cook. "These teeth aren't what they used to be." she muttered for herself, lying down and expecting the sunset.
