A Dragon is Born

Behind the waterfall in a secret cave a dragon egg hatches. The dragons mother is there and names the dragon saphira before the mother hears somthing and leaves in a hurry. After a while saphira calls for her parents but they dont come. A little while later she decides to go exploring. She has only gone a little ways into the forrest when she comes to a clearing and both her parents are lieing dead on the ground with two humans standing by them holding bows. Her father was an ice dragon and her mother a water dragon. she immediatly jumps on and kills the closest human, but the other human is only able to get one arrow shot into saphiras leg before she kills him. Then she lies down beside her parents bodys and starts to greive.

Sol'Lux was seeding some plants that were lost entirely through the disease. Through the year that passed since the disease struck the world, she and her helpers managed to restore most of the flora that once inhabited the land, though several species still didn't exist outside of her cave. The work was going pretty well, until she heard sobbing nearby. She could barely track it over the noise of a waterfall, but she found the place, and saw a terrible scene. Two dragons and humans lying dead on the ground, and a small hatchling, few days old tops near them. From the positions, it looked like the humans ambushed the older dragons, and then were ambushed bu the hatchling in return. Poor thing. she thought, carefully stepping over the edge, taking care not to scare the small dragon. It was only after that when she realized she didn't know what to say at all, but kept walking. "Hello, little one. Don't worry, nobody is going to harm you." she tried to start a conversation.

"It's not fair they killed my parents and i never even got to meet my dad"

"I know. Humans aren't the most peaceful beings in the universe. But you can't stay here, there could be more of them. Come with me, we'll find you some place where it's safe." she said, forwarding her hand for the little hatchling to climb on her back. "Do you have a name?" she asked.

saphira takes the older dragons hand before sayng,"yes before my mother left she named me saphira"

"That is a nice name." she said and waited for her to climb aboard. Then she walked over to the two dead dragons and teleported them all to crystal valley, where she embedded the bodies in an icy monolith, along with all the other resting souls. "For what it's worth, at least you know they loved you so much that they gave up their lives for you." she said, trying to comfort the hatchling. The chilly breeze flowing through the valley was getting to her. Her old bones couldn't take what they used to. She jumped them back to her cave. Sol'Lux dropped off the hatchling at a bench and brought her some food, thinking what she should do now. "You know, i would like to keep you around, but i was terrible parent to my own children, i think you deserve better care. One dragoness does come to mind actually. She is even of the same elements as you are, lives north in the snowy plains. You seem to have a lot in common, as she also lost her father and her mother has been gone for long time. Would you be interested in seeing her? I do not promise she would take you in, but it is as closest to you as i can think of." she suggested, feeling really terrible about rejecting the little one, but knowing she has done enough harm already.

[saphira]

"thank you." saphira sits on the bench and listens to the dragon and once she finishes eating says"that sounds nice i'd like to meet her."

"That won't be so easy. As i said she lives north, and that is also where the biggest camp of humans is. And also, finding a dragon in those plains can get long. Looks like we're going to have to stay together for a while." she said. Sol'Lux thought for a second. "Sorry, i keep forgetting how old you are. I should probably set you up at some school, but the closest is in the fire fortress and that is too rough environment for you." Looks like i'm moving. What have I got myself into? she thought.

"its okay but i think with the recent eents ie grown a lot quicker than any one would have wanted."

OOC: I assume those letters missing are all Vs

"Being through hell and knowing what's out there is entirely different thing. You literally have no idea what is going on right now, you can't!" said Sol'Lux, "You don't even know who I am, or for that matter if i didn't poison our food or won't sell you to slavery the next day." she said, hoping to seed a little of healthy distrust into the hatchling. "Don't worry, i'm not sure i'm even capable of doing such a thing but the World is harsh. Let me tell you a story." she said and in few dozens of minutes told her very short version of the history of the island. "You see? Even dragon can turn against a dragon. Twice they could have exterminated themselves, several other times something other tried to. If you want to survive, you have to be prepared, so don't get any illusions about being grown up."

"i'm not getting any illousions about being grown up.I'm just saying that im not going to be one of those hatchling thats is care free and acting goofy because ive gone through things that other hatchlings havent been through." meanwhile as saphire gets mader and towards the end talking a pot flies off a shelf and hits the wall.

OOC: As in telekinesis?
Sol'Lux waved her hand and caught the pot with a spell, putting it back. "Mind your temper, lady, i already have one daughter that acts like a volcano and it has done no good for her." she said.

ooc:sort of but she really has no clue about it,yet,and its unlike anything any other dragon can do.

"what are you talking about"saphira flicked he tail in irritaion as she talked,"i didn't do anything."

Sol'Lux created a hologram showing what happened to the pot. "Let me do a little test." she said, found a tiny chunk of wood and put it on the table in front of the hatchling. She then put one of her hands along her head and closed her eyes. "Try to think of it moving. Focus on the item, pick a direction, and imagine it moving on it's own."

saphira closed her eyes not wanting to get madder and thinking what the heck the point was to this. she did what the older dragon said and the board shooted across the cave and had so much force to it, that it got stuck in the wall. Then she opened her eyes and saw the board was gone"whered it go?"saphira asked innocently.
