EB p.2 The Dark Times

[Kauria]

Athvesa leapt, skidding into the space that was occupied by the first wall.
"Let's bring the battle out a little." He brought his right claws close to his chest, and swept his left hand over them with another fortifying spell. The ice dragon smashed his talons into the barrier, cracks fracturing out from the point of impact. He forced water into the gaps and spaces, which widened as he froze it. Massive chunks of stone broke off, and Athvesa flapped higher before slamming down for the final blow. What was left of the wall crumbled, dust raining down on the combatants.
"Let's keep moving," Maela said, pulling her halberd from its straps.
Athvesa bounded ahead, his turquoise eyes scanning the fighting pairs for a glimpse of Pyhrros and Saratheen.

"On second thought, i think i just found someone worthy. If it goes bad, we'll meet behind the last wall exactly as you said." said Ignis when the battle was less intense and she could afford to distract amber for a while. "Just think for help if you need me." she noted and jumped off. She was enjoying the free fall, until the arrows arrived and she had quite hard time burning them to ashes because they could make a hamburger out of her. She used flame thrust to slow herself down and landed some hundred and fifty meters in front of Maela. "Something about that particular demon seems familiar." she said for herself, but couldn't remember what right now. She started to make her way through.

Targus climbed out of the tunnel then helped Sid out. "GAH! LOOK HOW MANY THERE ARE!" Sid jumped back and started shacking. "Yeah, they're gonna kill us if you don't keep it down. Come on, lets try and take out what we can without being noticed." Targus pointed to the main group of archers. "Clever, if someone where to fly over their ground troops those guys would take them down. Okay, We take them out then anyone escaping by air is home free. Lets go."

[Morty]

"You're not going anywhere." said Lulu, her massive clawed foot stopping Sid and Targus in their tracks. She lowered her head to eye level, her muzzle dripping with blood. Jack hopped off neatly from his cross-legged position, knife drawn. "You look familiar." he said to Targus, eyes narrowing. "You escaped from the palace the night I arrived. What a shame, I tried to help you." said Jack, turning his knife on Targus.
Lulu brought her head up close to Sid's, smoke pouring from her nostrils. She grinned, revealing rows of human-sized teeth. "Boo."

((En garde! *troll face*))

[Awesomoman]

"uh aA AAAAAAAAAAAA!" Sid jumped behind a rock. Targus on the other hand looked Jack in the eyes. "And if you knew what was good for ya, you would help me out again, seeing as." Targus took a step out of the daggers rang and pulled out his sword putting it right on Jack's neck. "You're in a really bad position."

[Morty]

Jack smirked. "You'd be surprised." he said, ducking under Targu's sword and slashing at the arm that held it, a blade of air extending past the knife's range.
Lulu laughed, the rock behind which Sid was hiding beginning to hover. "You should probably know, I'm no demon." she said, moving the rock over Sid's head and dropping it.

Targus jumped back just enough to avoid being hit. "So originally i was going to go kill a bunch of worthless demons. Instead I'm fighting a guy that knows what hes doing. And i thought today would be boring." He said with a smile.
Sid rolled out of the way of the rock. "If you're not a demon, then why are you helping them?"

[Morty]

"Why, I'm flattered." said Jack, keeping his blade aimed at Targus. He slashed the air twice: an x-shaped blade of air whipped towards him.

"I like to be on the winning side." said Lulu, chuckling and swishing her paw. The rock juddered and sailed towards Sid, gaining momentum.

[Awesomoman]

Targus did a flip in the top of the X and dive kicked Jack in the head, then jumped back to where he was before. "Alright, now try something else."

Sid pulled out his axe and sliced the rock in half, turning it into two giant pieces of ice. "Yeah you're winning now, but the demons are unstable. There's no way they can survive without war."

[Morty]

Jack bent over backwards, allowing Targus to sail over his head. His lip curled at the close call. "How bout an airstrike?" he said, and Lulu's ax-mounted tail swung out of nowhere from behind Targus, aiming to bowl him flat.

"Yes, well, we're working on that." Lulu frowned and dislodged some rocks, causing them to fall in Sid's direction.

[Awesomoman]

Targus did the splits and ducked his head letting the ax-tail pass right over him. Then stood right back up with his arms crossed the whole time. "Good try, but thats not enough."

Sid ran like a maniac away from the falling rocks. "You know, if you let us pass we won't tell anyone."

[Morty]

Jack hopped on the tail as is swung around and leapt into the air, kicking a blade of air towards Targus before landing in a crouch behind him a few feet away. He kicked off from his crouched position with his knife aimed at Targus's back.

Lulu was getting bored. "What, do you think they don't know? Civil war may be unavoidable, but when it's demons fighting demons, both sides win." she laughed, waving a paw lazily, causing the fallen rocks to roll after Sid.

With one sword Targus sliced the air attack, with the other, he waited for Jack to spring (you see what i did there?) and then leaned on it. Jack went right over Targus's shoulder. "So um, when do you want me to attack?"

Sid saw the rocks rolling and knew there was only one way out of it. He ran right for the dragon and swung for her arm. (I wouldn't let this hit if i were you.)

"COOOOOOME AAAAAND GET IIIIIIIT!!!" yelled Ignis, flooding fire on all sides. When she was close enough, she lifted a fire hemisphere above herself and the demoness she targeted. In a swing of her hand, she killed the rest of the demons trapped inside. She cracked her fingers: "Now you look like somebody who can las longer than a minute." she said and assumed fighting position, carefully taking mental notes about her dagon as well.

[Morty]

Jack crossed his arms. "I can do this all day, buddy. I don't have to kill you, I just have to keep you away from the rest of my troops." he said slyly, reaching behind his back for the lighter Lulu had given him.

"Nice try." Lulu yawned, flicking her hand deftly, a ledge of rock rising from the ground just in time for Sid to trip over it.
