EB p.2 The Dark Times

The elemental simply made hole in itself to aboid the freezing ray, but te water shower was a different thing. While it evaporated quite quickly while They moved the elemental towards Athvesa, it was startig to get crispy. Shed it once the water stops, or we'll loose mass.
Got it.
They jumped the elemental when they were close enough. When it was over the ice dragon, it let go of the damaged areas, followed by a lava rain. It landed behind the dragon, turning to punch.

[Morty]

Lulu strained, redirecting the fall of cooling lava to the side, then turned her focus on the elemental. She focused, trying to make the molten rock part and engulf the fire elf.

Simultaneously Jack picked up the blade he had dropped in the tidal wave, bringing it around in a slash in Targus's direction.

[Awesomoman]

*Ting* *ting*. Targus blocked both of the attacks. "So thats how you want to play it eh? Well then." Targus spun pushing both Maela and Jack away, then with even thinking picked Maela as his target going in for a quick stab.

[Morty]

"Nope." Jack said cheekily, hooking Targus's blade with the jagged edge of his sword and twisting.

((Think of a knife getting caught in a fork. XD))

[Kauria]

While Jack engaged Targus, Maela pulled back and switched to her daggers. She charged forward again, leaping silently into the air like a sooty shadow.

Athvesa glanced over his shoulder, blue eyes scanning the ranks of the soldiers who still remained on the outermost part of the battlefield. Iztal, take your soldiers and the remaining archers to assist Kamenwati, he thought, turning his attention back to the battle. That should clear the area of anyone I need to care about at the moment.

(OOC: Just to be clear, Maela's not attacking, just hovering out of reach.)

Targus missed Maela due to her jumping and his sword being caught by Jack's, good news was Targus now had a new target. Targus's strength was greater than Jack's and with a quick pull ripped his sword out of his hands, leaving him without a weapon. (Think of the knife and fork but pulling while twisting.) "You're going down."

[Kauria]

"Not so fast." Maela landed in a crouch in front of him, arms crossed. She moved in a blur, striking up with both daggers in a cross-slice aimed at Targus' chest.

[Awesomoman]

Targus quickly jumped over the daggers and kicked off Maela's head giving him a boost towards Jack. "Thanks for the face lift."

[Morty]

((It's okay, he has two swords. ))

Jack's eyes widened. He bounded back a few paces away, booted feet scraping the dust as he landed unsteadily. His ears twitched indignantly. "Bring it on." he growled, lunging at Targus with Sophitia drawn, her rusty edge grinning menacingly.

[Kauria]

Maela's fingers splayed out across the soil, and she caught herself just inches from the ground. She inhaled sharply and lifted her inky eyes, watching her opponent through the stands of dark hair that had fallen across her face. The demoness pushed herself off the ground, moving into a solid but unmistakably aggressive stance. He's going to need a new collarbone shortly, she thought, waiting.

[Awesomoman]

(I meant in his hands at the moment.)

"Well, this attack has ultimately failed." Targus thought seeing Jack coming at him and knowing Maela wasn't going to take that jump to well. "I really need a new plan, but first things first." He hit Sophitia away from him and fell right past Jack, landing and quickly turning so he could see the two of them. "Keep aerial attacks to a minimum, you can't move very well in the air. And you have to stop one of them, you can defend against both but you can't get any hits in while both are coming at ya. For now just tier them out, no way in hell they can match MY endurance." He thought going back to defensive.

[Morty]

((You'd be surprised. Jack is quite energetic. XD))

Jack tsked and whistled a short tune. "You know, you're really starting to get on my nerves." he said to Targus, to mask the sound of Sophitia whizzing through the air towards the back of his head as it(she? XD) returned to his hand.

[Kauria]

"I'll say." Maela walked up beside Jack, her daggers sheathed once more and halberd in hand. "You know, I'm actually considering taking this seriously."

[Awesomoman]

(Look at the other fights Targus has fought in. You really can't get him to back down.)

"You and me both." Targus said tilting his head just enough so that Sophitia went past him but was so close it could almost cut him. (but it didn't.) "I'll have to admit, the two of you combined are almost as much of a challenge as Jackel was. Almost."

[Kauria]

Maela laughed. "I'm actually quite insulted to be compared to that loser, you know. I really wish you could have seen his face when he was at spearpoint." She leveled her weapon with a grin, easing once more into a fighting stance. "We'll just have to try to recreate such a precious moment."
