EB p.2 The Dark Times

Zetherus saw this cave from the distance that was glowing in fire as he flew from afar ,"I think this is Mt. Forge that the guard captain told me about." He flew lower and closer toward the cave then suddenly brought his wings up to drop onto the rock ledge. He landed successfully on the warm stone of the opened cavern and saw a series of rock tables and lava pools small enough to insert weapons. As he walked into the hot atmosphere he saw what looked like a very large and old handle of some kind of sword, folded in some kind of unknown golden gray steel. He walked up to it and grasped it not thinking anything would happen until he heard metal foot steps from the next room.

Zetherus picked up the twenty five pound handle of a bladeless sword and attached it onto one of his chains hanging from his armor. He pulled Ragnarok from its sheath and held it ready in his right hand. The noise got louder until it went silent, then spoke ,"You ssou-should not be hererrr stranger for this cave has been taken, also THAt Castle Blade han-dle of the ancients stayssss wit meee, for THATT YOUUU MUST fall for steeling from my MASTERrrrrugh."

BOOOM-BA-BOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM) The wall behind Zetherus busted open in fire and flame. A massive demon knight wearing black plate armor and a ax head claymore came charging out of the opening.

Zetherus turned around and opened his wings for a quick dash away from the hellish juggernaut. He thrusted his wings forward looking at the knight as he escaped the frightening large sword and dug his talons into the rock making him stop ,"What! What the hell are you doing here demon? I was expecting a dragon and a rider not a demon overlord."

The demon knight stopped surprisingly and spoke in anger ,"YOU ARE A INSECT that needs to be KILLED, YOU ARE NOT standing in the way of the Inquisitor urgh."

Zetherus interrupted the demon knight ,"I WAS also enslaved by the Inquisitor demon maybe we should work together?"

The demon knight lifted his massive sword at Zetherus with one hand as thought to attack ,"I am not going to join you, a weak and little air breather LIKE YOU ARUGHHHHH." The demon raised his weapon in a fast motion over his head smashing his sword into the ceiling making rocks cave into the demon's slumber room then cleaved at Zetherus at unmanageable speed.

Zetherus saw the sudden movements that the knight made and dodge rolled away from the down coming blade. He stood back up and made a upper cut with Ragnarok shooting a stream of fire at the demon. It did nothing to the knight as the flame flowed over the demon's black armor. The demon cleaved at Zetherus again missing as he dodged. ,"How do you kill this thing." said Zetherus as a rock came from the ceiling crashing down on top of him making him dodge again. The demon had got him in a corner thinking this would get him and cleaved down at that spot. Zetherus was cornered and could do nothing to save himself so with pure luck he grabbed the large sword handle that he found and held it in front of the massive blade thinking it would save his life.

(BOLLLLTAANNKK as this deafening sound of clashing metal echoed out the cave and through the mountains making it possible for other living beings from far away could hear)

Zetherus felt this horrible jolt as the Castle Blade handle shoot out of his hands and out the cave spinning through the air not knowing where it would land. Zetherus came back into reality and saw the demon fall out the opening and tumbled down the mountain side all the way to the base.

Not saying another word Zetherus jumped out the cave and down the steep mountain side for safety and opened his wings to catch himself. He gained full control thinking he had died until he saw the handle glinting from far away embedded in a nearby mountain side. He looked down at the base of Mt. Forge and saw the demon knight begin to move ,"WHAT! Are you serious he hasn't died from that fall."

Zetherus quickly flapped his wings to get to the sword handle across the gorge before the demon had got to him first. He brought his wings up and launched himself at the handle in the rock, then with all his might he yanked out the sword piece and flew out of sight of the rising demon.
As Zetherus flew away he heard the demon's blood roar ,"YOU WILL PAYYYYYY with YOUR BLOOOOD WHEN I FIND YOUUUUaaa."

Zetherus smiled under his helmet as the handle was wrapped around his tail dangling behind him as he flew further and further away ,"Not if i find the rest of this sword to kill you and the Inquisitor with."

Zetherus fled toward a far off place that sounded like war.

[Morty]

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking, General?" Jack's eyes flashed.
I'll take the legs, you finish him off as he tries to evade. he said, preparing to strike.

[Kauria]

Sounds good to me. The sigil in her halberd flashed blue, heat seeping from the metal and leaving the blade as cold as ice.

[Morty]

Jack feinted and lunged forward nimbly, slashing at Targus's legs, a blade of air extending in front of Sophitia's steel edge, shearing the air in an arc-shaped radius in front of it, followed by the blade itself.

[Awesomoman]

"Me? Insult my enemy? Why would i ever do that." Targus responded sarcastically. He was going to continue the mocking when Jack suddenly made an attack, Targus easily jumped it.......easily? "Oh sh** they planned something!" But it was too late now, he was already in the air.

[Kauria]

Maela was off in a flash. She arced into the air, raven wings flying open. She swung, smashing the haft of the halberd across the right side of his clavicle. She landed, one hand on the ground.
"Sometimes, pain can be more effective than any restraint," she said with a contemptuous smile, standing once more.

[Awesomoman]

Targus fell to the ground, his arm was in massive pain. For a second he just sat there, couldn't move. Finally he sucked it up and ignored the pain like he used to, standing up and picking up his sword. "That was tricky, and normally i love fights like that, but you've put me in a situation where i have to either end the battle now or die." Targus tightened the grip on his sword. "And dying, is something i don't plan on doing any time soon. If you havn't noticed, i have one scabbard, yet i carry two swords. I only have two, because thats how many i can hold, not make." With one step Targus launched his sword spinning like a razor disk at them, but by the time it left his hand, two where being launched side by side. Once the blade made a full spin there were 4, then 8, then 16, and so on. Pretty soon and wall of death was flying right at Jack and Maela, still getting bigger. "Dodge that."

(Yes i know, CHEAP!)

[Zetherus]

Zetherus saw a war in front of him going on and tried to avoid it until an archer from a unknown army began shooting at him. He tried to dodge it but a arrow grazed his wing and another hit his helmet making him lose control. He dropped the handle piece in confusion toward the clashing army. He looped around and faced down pulling his wings back around his body so he could move faster toward the falling sword piece.
Zetherus reached out and grabbed the piece with his left hand as he dived toward the ground making up no time to get back up in the air causing him to do a front flip and slam into the ground with enough force that his dragon feat blew open a fallen soldier all over the place almost like a pumpkin.

He got up holding the Castle Blade handle piece in his left hand and Ragnarok in his right. As he looked around he realized that he has interrupted a fight with two dragon riders making one of them that were attacking hit dirt.

OCC: Yes I'm talking about Targus

Jack dodged back, smirking as Maela's attack hit home. "Didn't see that one coming, didj- Yikes!" Jack narrowly avoided getting stepped on by the massive armored figured that had landed in the middle of the battle. "Hey-- buddy-- do you mind?" he hissed, edging around the new arrival to get at Targus. He took one look from around Zeth's shoulder and drew back, gulping. "Hello, new best friend!" he said cheerfully, placing the armored half-dragon between himself and the wall of swords.

[Kauria]

Maela shot into the air, wings carrying her above the onslaught. "Zetherus? Is that you?"

[Nohiki]

"U-uh, MINE!" they said and redirected the lava rain back at the ice dragon, while combating Lulu's attempts to control the elemental. "Allright, you asked for it!" they said, walking the pile of lava quickly towards the earth dragon, pouring pure fire out of the elemental's hands on her. "I dunno how much longer we can do this!" "Just keep walking! I kno what to do with it."

[Kauria]

Athvesa ducked back, swishing his wings to create a watery shield across his back. Out of the corner of one eye, he saw the last of the dark clan soldiers fighting their way to the rest of the main force, although it left the army flanked by rebels. He lifted his head slightly, nodding to Leucrocuta.
You may want to stay up there, he thought to Maela.

[Morty]

Leucrocuta hissed and recoiled, shielding herself with her wings. She drew up a wall of earth between her and the elemental, but her wings had been badly scorched.
She caught Athvesa's nod and slammed her armored tail into the wall of the canyon, sending a huge crack through the cliff face. With a last effort she tore down the weakened levee, removing the only barrier between them and the lake above. She had just enough time to scoop up Jack and brace herself before the vast body of water came crashing down around them.

"damn those bastards!" thought Ignis angrilly as she tried to lift the elemental up. They haven't had enough time and half of it was gone. "What now? Soak them in it?" she thought. Instead of a response, Odin turned it into a phoenix. "It'll cause trouble on it's own now, get back into fight!" They flown over to the next wall still standing, reverting to normal form. "Allright, this doesn't look good at all."

[Awesomoman]

All of Targus's swords came back and formed into one on the way. "Well this is bad, very very bad." He thought watching the water head straight for him. He closed his eyes waiting for the coming doom, when it didn't come he opened his eyes again, the water was splitting right where he was. "You okay man?" Sid, Maruk and Agate landed next to him. "You're lucky we came when we did, what happened?" Maruk asked? "They broke something, i can't move my arm." Targus replied. Agate's eyes went wide, "What? Someone beat you? How did..." "It was 2 on 1 and they were both good. One of them distracted me while the other came down, im lucky to be alive right now." Targus interrupted. "So whats the plan now?" Sid asked. "I wish i knew, but right now I'm useless." Targus said shaking his head.
