EB p.2 The Dark Times

[Zetherus]

Zetherus saw the large wave of water head straight for him. He pulled his wings up as he looked right at Targus then jumped as he forced both of his wings downward to launch himself out of the way. He was confused as hell not knowing what the hell was going on.

The water rushed dangerously under him as he hovered over the oddly created river. He looked around to see if he was in danger and spoke to himself ,"Well this is definitely a useful power, the power to control water like this is extraordinary indeed.

Zetherus looked back at the mountains that he came from and saw something that he shouldn't have saw. On the side base of one of the archer mountains he saw the demon knight climbing up the mountain behind the archers unnoticed. The archers didn't see the demon lurking behind them until he just started hacking the hell out of them making them run in terror as the mountain began to deteriorate into nothing from the humongous blade ,"DIIIIEEEE MORTALLLLS AURGHHHHH." Roared the demon juggernaut as the archers fell to there death and the entire mountain top fell into the draining lake opening blocking it from further drainage.

The demon knight climbed up to the new flat area of the mountain looking down at Zetherus and the army he had no clue about. The demon's eyes flared as he saw Zetherus' appearance hovering over the flooded battlefield ,"YOU! I FOUND YOU. Now you will DIE, RAAHHH."

The twenty ton demon jumped off the severed mountain then fell a couple hundred feet back to the Earth.

(Everything fell silent as the demon fell closer and closer to the ground until he made contact to the solid rock making a catastrophic Earthquake happen. Everything fell into chaos as the demon began charging with his sword dragging behind him ripping a crack into the Earth.

Zetherus felt the tremor (even in mid air) as the demon charged toward him so with no other option he also charged toward the demon knight with his sword ready.

Zetherus shoot Ragnarok's flame at the demon's face to try and blind it and failed to do so. The demon lifted his massive sword into a thrust position and stabbed at Zetherus and also failed a strike. Zetherus dropped to the wet ground to dodge the demon and succeeded then slashed at the demon's knees for a cripple and succeeded a hit between the cracks in his armor making ash flow out like blood ,"Arrugh, You will fail killing me MUTANT." Roared the demon as Zetherus just pissed it off more and back flipped away from the angered demon ,"Why won't you submit to your fate Hell knight?" Yelled Zetherus against the creature as he was the only one right now fighting him.

Zetherus and the demon knight fought on to kill one another until someone joins in the battle.

OCC: The demon knight is constantly unleashing giant fireballs across the battlefield killing what ever it hits so it also effects everyone around in that area including you guys. So help Zeth out in this fight or the demon knight will get irritated and come for you. !!!

[Nohiki]

"Oh goodie! Well looka that! I think i just won a jackpot!" said Ignis, taking control of the stray fireballs, using them to whack the demon army. "Somebody stop me!" she yelled as she enveloped herself in fire and jumped into the battlefield, claws blazing.

[Awesomoman]

Maruk made a water shield around everyone. "That thing is going crazy! My shield should keep his fire balls away, but if he jumps through there's no telling what will happen." Maruk said. "That guy is unstoppable..why did i have to get injured before the fun started." Targus complained hitting his head.

[Zetherus]

The fight was horrible between Zetherus and the demon knight. They fought for a hour with Zetherus constantly dodging and the demon trying to slam his sword down on top of him.

Zetherus brought his wings up thrusting them downward then jumped to bring himself back into the air. The demon slashed his sword at Zetherus when he attempted to fly and missed because the aim was too low. Zetherus felt the blade as it suddenly passed from beneath him almost chopping the tip of his tail off. Zetherus unleashed a flurry of slashes and chops at the demons face trying to blind it and buried his sword in the eye socket in the face plate, do to the demons plate helmet he didn't harm the creature that much but nicked him in the eye. The demon tried to slap Zetherus with his large hand to knock him away from attacking his face any further. Zetherus dropped back to the muddy ground to dodge the the hand and brought his sword point at the demons chest plate then lunged to impala the demon.

The demon backed up then swung the side of his claymore at Zetherus successfully slamming the side of his blade into the halfbreed. Zetherus felt the side of the blade as it hit him with enough force to throw him off his feat and toward the barrier landing 25ft from it.

"What will it take to even injure this thing, I'm going to find a way to kill you demon." spoke Zetherus as he slowly got up off the ground talking to himself readying his sword and the Castle Blade handle for the demon to charge at him.

The demon looked at Zetherus and the barrier then began to charge his claymore with a fire aura over the entire sword. The demon lifted his sword as if was going to throw it at Zetherus and the barrier.

[Midnightmoon]

(note: I will read everything at some point but for the mean time I am posting this huge post so you guys can get going with out waiting for me. I'm typing all this from what I've read so far so if there is something that isn't right please make note of it in your posts and I'll correct my post when I can.)

Two barriors down one to go. The enemy mob lost great numbers to breach the first two and would again on the final but they were still climbing out of the bottle neck hole in the same flooding capasity as when it had first started so many hours ago. From what Amber could guess they must have pulled in everyone withing a few days flight. Amber had thought that her rebels could hold them off, or at least force them back into a long enough retreat that they could disapear in the tunnels without being noticed too soon, but the odds didn't look at all favourable. "RETREAT! Comanders, head to the caverns. Remaining Fire Clan members, form up and force them back, Earth Clan raise the floor! RETREAT!" Amber yelled and as she repeated the call Firen called a snarling rawr, whipping around to smash a small raptor like dark dragon into the fighting masses with his tail.

The pair in Pyhros and Saratheen sights seemed to yell something and the tired enemy forces began a slowly but surely form up into a new formation with the fire dragons shoulder to shoulder with earth dragons. Saratheen jumped forward, sticking to the wall. The fire dragons one by one started to spew spurts of flame, trying to drive the enemy away from their allies. Then the ground rumbled more and seemingly random pillars started spearing up from the ground. The cavern was in the prosess of being split down the middle by another barrier. By slinking along the wall and avoiding fighting (as much as their blood demanded they do) Pyrhos and Saratheen was able to stay out of sight and slip into a side room (which must have been a kitchen of sorts before the fight) to avoid being seen further.

Amber got a slight releif that the plan was working, in a way. There was absalutely nothing she could do for the very few still stuck on the other side of the forming wall, but what could she do when even the ones still working to form the retreat were falling like leaves. "We have to find Targus and Ignus." Firen prompted. Amber yelled the message of retreat one last time then Firen started roaming the wounded masses. Some fighting was still visable within their side but with the enemy now momentarily cut off from back up it should be barable.

[Nohiki]

Ignis heard the retreat order. Now or never. she thought when the wall started forming up, leaping over it and heading for the meeting point, preparing her explosives to go off. She was staring into the battlefield, trying to find Amber and Targus. "Come on, we don't have all day!"

[Midnightmoon]

Firen thought he heard her and swiveled his head around. It took him a few minutes to see her amoung the dragons but when he did he mentally pointed her out to Amber and made a b-line for her. "Where to?"

[Morty]

"Get up, Lulu, they're falling back!" yelled Jack, making unsuccesful attempts to push her to her feet. Lulu groaned.
"I've been goaded, baited, soaked, crushed under ice, set on fire... I think I deserve to take a breather." she said, unmoving. "And no way am I fitting in that cubbyhole." she added, her eye on the breached wall. "Hate to say it, sport, but I think I'm down for the count."
Jack gasped. "Blasphemy! You don't look that bad." he said, wincing audibly.
"Get going. I'll be fine here." she grumbled, rolling into a sphynxlike pose. "Go kill some rebels for me."
Jack frowned, nodding. He ran to join the rest of the demon clan for the final push.

[Awesomoman]

"It seems we are retreating." Maruk informed the others. "Agate, if would be so kind as to dig us out of here." "Okay, but wont the water flood us?" Agate asked. "Then block off the top." Targus suggested. "That would bloke our air supply. Sid, tap the water." "Wait, what?" "Freeze it, it will take less energy and be faster if you do it." Sid tapped the water with his ax and gave them a new ice skating park. "Alright, lets dig."

[Nohiki]

"Firen, you'll wait for Agate and other dragons. It's up to Agate to get you out of here. Once you're ready tell me through Amber and i'll blow up the place to distract them from you. You people follow me. Where the heck is Targus?" shouted Ignis to be heard over the rumbling of the fight, "Well they know where the tunnel is, they'll have to make it. Let's move." she said, heading through the volley to where the tunnels were. As she searched her bag for the crystal to close the tunnel behind them, she found out the bag had a hole in it and the crystals were mostly lost. It will have to do.

[Midnightmoon]

"After them." "I know." Pyhros and Saratheen crept along following the two elves, going through doors in parallel rooms to stay out of sight as much as possible. They were going a different way then the rest of the army. Saratheen got a breif glimce of them going around another bend. She followed. When she came around she noticed the walls were different, they were blue and crystalleen. Down the middle of the passage she saw their quarries. she also noticed she wouldn't fit. Pyhros slid down out of the saddle and took a few paces in, "Amber."

Amber had dismounted and followed Ignus. The tunnels the went down were the same as everywhere else in the base, but when they turned around one corner the tunnel changed. No longer was it a earthy brown,. but a crystal blue. She was going to ask when Ignus had the time to make this when her name was called in a calm deep voice behind her. It tweeked a memory. She turned and suddenly had the bow strunk with a arrow in her hands. She should have expected that a few would have gottem by. The red claws and eyes of the just visable dragon at the opening proved they were newly changed, that and the orange eyes of the rider she aimed at. And it was in those eyes that she saw where the reconision came from. "No. No no no." "What? What's wrong?" "No, no..." "Dad."

(ooc: now when everyone is in the tunnel I will have Firen "finally get there" and my big fight will beging/ end.)

[Zetherus]

The ground flooded with blood water as Zetherus readied himself when he saw the demon's sword started pouring magma from these small holes on the side of the ax claymore.

The demon lifted the sword over his head and hurled it at Zetherus and the barrier. The blade smashed through it almost cutting a escaping dragon in half and pouring lava in the escapees cavern probably causing problems for the others inside.
Zetherus saw the blade pass over him as he rolled away from the massive sword. He got up and charged at the demon seeing that he was now unarmed and jumped thrusting Ragnarok's blade into the demons chest finely breaking a hole in his armor.

The demon tried to deflect Zetherus and failed causing Zetherus to stab his sword into his chest almost skewering his hart. The demon roared in pain and grabbed Zetherus off his chest and threw him at his sword barely missing the blade.

Zetherus fell into the cavern and laid there for a moment then quickly recovered. He stood back up seeing the lave from the demon's claymore pour slowly into the cave creating a small pool ,"Huh, well this litttle puddle isn't that bad, at least Im not fighting that demon right now; maybe I should take my chances with the ones that made this cave and fight another day." said Zeth as he crept up behind the digging dragon and Targus unoticed.

The demon knight was furious as he ran up to his sword and saw that the half-dragon dissapeared into a small cave. The demon grabbed his claymore and pulled it out of the ground then roared into the cavern ," YYYYOOU THINK you have LOST me but one day I will find you and rip your spine out."

The demon changed targets and began attacking anything on the surface including the Dark clan.

OCC: Who ever is on the surface GET THE HELL OUT!!!

[Midnightmoon]

"I won't be able to fit down there. I'll have to find another way." "Why don't you go find Firen?" There was a pause. "I'll be back in a bit." Pyhros heard Saratheen shift behind him and she was gone, back down the passage. At first he didn't say anything, only watching is daughter. He was stationed in the middle of the passage, his still unsheethed sword off to the side, ready to deflect when the time came. Then he finally spoke after Amber still hadn't fired, "You know, any other leader would have done the right thing and taken out the threat before he could even thing about doing anything." Amber didn't say anything, just stared. Pyhros couldn't tell from this distance but he thought he could see her lips whispering something, her eyes wide and (he noted curiously and slightly gleefully) that her bow shivered. "What? Nothing to say to your father." "Where had you been?" "You know, your the second person to ask me that," He said with a lazy point of a finger, "and your the second person who I will be telling 'here and there'." He smiled slightly non too nicely, showing a bit of fang. "I can't really tell from this distance but it would seem that you've changed at bit from when I last saw you." "Ya, well that's your fault." Pyhros made a wince oozing with falsehood, putting a hand to his heart. "Ouch, darling, that hurt." Now he could definately see a tremble and her chaw clentched. His smile widened. "But no, I wasn't meaning that. I was meaning a more subtle change; your skin is a tad grey and it would seem like you have a bit of black in your hair. Too bad you hadn't just stayed put like a good little dark clan soldier." It was lucky Pyhros had shifted his weight that moment because just then a arrow whizzed by his left shoulder, causing a shallow cut to add to the many others.

Firen had been trying to talk her into releasing the arrow that would head for her father as soon as he had realised who she so distressed about. The words being said to his rider were echoing through her mind so he heard everthing. "Amber!" he yelled just as Pyhros finished up his last words about being a "dark clan soldier". He would have consoled her more as he headed down the tunnels towards her when he nearly ran into a black mass. There was a pair of snarls, a swip and snap, and both dragons now had a new wound to add to the collection. By now Firen was a considerable way from the main evacuating cavern. "Well Firen, just the dragon I'd been looking for." The black mass said. "Saratheen." Saratheen didn't say anything else, instead stalking forward to start their own battle.

[Kauria]

"That's it, I've had enough of this guy," Athvesa snarled, bristling at the distant figure of the demon. "He's definitely not on our side." He fanned his ice-laced wings and sprang into the air. "Go on by yourself. I'll take care of him," he called down to Maela.
"Got it." She darted off after the rest of the force.

[Zetherus]

The demon knight began targeting dragons for his next attack and saw a few to start with. As he was crushing a few demons around his area, he saw a blue ice dragon jump into the air and float there for a moment. The demon decided that this dragon was going to be his next and charged at it with his sword ready on his shoulder roaring ,"YOU WILL FALL."

The demon knight's stomping made sure notice that the dragon would hear him coming.
