Starlights body froze up in mid step while Starlight's real mind caught hold of the shya's mental thread and struggled to hold on. "Worlock-ck-ck....wit-t-t-ch....magic-c....spell-l-l-l." She replied hearing it bounce around among all the other thoughts.

Magic spell? What in the name of the elementals was that supposed to mean? Shya opened her eyes, maintaining the connection with Starlight. The ice dragon appeared to have stopped in her tracks, clearly conflicted about something. The glow of the pendant caught her gaze again, and a glimmer of clarity appeared with it. The pendant? Is that what's causing all this? she tried to ask.

"Key-y-y....spell-l-l." Starlight sent a flash of the stone when it was right in front of her eyes. Meanwhile Starlight's body started to move again, extremely slow though, like it was trying to walk while encased in stone.

Shya made a noise of frustration as she darted back several steps, away from the ice dragon. I won't fail you, friend, she thought before breaking off the mind link as a fiery rush of anger surged through her veins. With a roar, she lunged forward at Starlight's form, bringing both her flaming hands together in another attempt to free the pendant from the ice.

With the mental link severed the enchantment was able to suppress Starlight again. Her movements were now unrestrained and she easily took a step back to avoid the blow. And yet when she went to pin the red dragon she again stopped. If one were to look at her eyes they would have noticed the flickering of tinted red to blue and back again. Starlight's body kept it's course and tried to finish pinning the dragon so it could commence to drain the energy, but it was sluggishly slow.

Instead of retreating from the jerkily slow attack, Shya-tael held her ground, placing all of her efforts into her elemental control. Flames shooting down the length of her entire body, she resembled more a dragon-shaped torch than a dragon itself. Steeling herself for the blow, she brought her gaze up to meet Starlight's, completely unflinching. ( OOC: It's alright to hit her this time, Midnight, if you want.)

Starlight's claws landed on Shya, ice elongated claws trying to dig in to pin the inflamed dragon. And yet the fire surrounding Shya melted the ice and bare claws connected with blazing scales. Starlight's flickering eyes slitted at the pain.

Shya winced at piercing cold, but twisted suddenly under Starlight, her hand shooting out at the dragoness' throat. Her jaws opened in a roar, the glow of an approaching breath attack grew within her throat as she clawed at the pendant. Get it off, don't destroy it.

With a hiss Starlight bent her head down. The pendent now increase it's pulsed and glow brighter as the spell began to activate.
(OOC: you can blast the pendent now.)

Shya felt a faint tinge of panic as her control over the flames faltered, her energy dropping. Don't you dare, she found herself thinking as the heat built in her throat, an inferno waiting to be unleashed. Slitting her orange eyes, the fire dragoness released a searing ray of fire at the pendant. Please be okay, please be okay...

Starlights body hissed in pain and frustration, the fire causing it to pull away again because of the fire was too much for the ice dragon body. It took a few steps back shaking it's head from side to side like a bull preparing to charge. Then it froze up for a third time! After a few seconds it started to shiver in a way that made it look like it was straining at something. "Getitoff." Starlight said in a rough strained voice.

"With pleasure," Shya snarled, her glowing claws flashing out to seize the necklace with little regard for her own safety.

Starlight's body kept shivering till the chain of the pendent snapped and the retched stone was away from her. With a explosive exhale of breath Starlight went sagged. Breathing heavily she had her head down, then she said, "i should really get practicing those mind block lessons Sol'Lux taught me." When she looked up again her eyes were twinkling blue again, without a smudge of clouding red. "Thanks, but next time, don't hold back."

"Hold back?" Shya remarked with a weary, teasing grin. "Hate to break it to you, but that's all I got," she spat, removing her hand from the frozen patch of scales on her shoulder. Looking down at the blood-red pendant a short distance away, she asked "What should we do with that thing now? Do you even remember how you got it?"

Reaching out Starlight placed a hand on Shya's frozen shoulder and took the ice back. In the middle of it the blue dragon paused at the question and didn't respond till all the ice had been retrieved, smile gone. "I would say leave it but I that could be risky to any other dragon to come across it, not to mention those three dragons are most likely still drained. If it's cracked or anything it could explode with a pretty strong blast." Again starlight paused and took back her hand from Shya's shoulder. "Let's bury it for now and deal with it in the morning..."
