Starlight hissed angrily, fireing, but hitting nothing. "Gah, that witch, she got away. Can you follow her? Maybe the energy trail she left behind? She did leave by way of lightning after all." She asked Zarin.

Before star could even speak, Zarin ran into the bolt that teleported Emma. When they got back he was right behind her. "Nice place you have here." He said when she though it was safe. "That was a sneaky move that you WOULD have gotten away with, if you were against a NORMAL dragon. But you have made the sorriest mistake of your life and tried to run from a god." Zarin's eye lite up and he also glowed lighting up the room. "Now lets try this again, DONT. RUN. OR. ELSE."

Emma spun, the pendant clattering to the floor. "How did you--"
She knew she'd taken a risk using such a simple spell to evacuate, but she couldn't help but hope some of the energy in the pendant could be salvaged. Now she'd brought the danger to the tower, and the pendant was as good as spent. "Please! L-Let me explain!" she babbled, backing against the wall. The tower was not a spacious place, not even by human standards.

The light from Zarin dimmed and he turned normal, then went right up in Emma's face. "Alright, im listening, but this better be damn good. Trust me, i've been taken over before and forced to hurt my friends for no reason at all and it sucked big time. So lets hear it."

Emma sighed heavily, steeling herself. "It started a few months ago. My son and I were experimenting with summoning demons. One day we went too far. The demon was too powerful, and it consumed him. I was told that to get him back, I would need energy from a dragon of each element. I knew this feat was impossible from the start as there are no Light dragons on this planet, but one can't help but hope... I.." she shook her head.

Zarin glared at her. "And just why were you summoning demons? If you and your son were trying to take over the world or something then you can forget bringing him back."

"No! Heavens no. Ancient demons are a great source of knowledge. Can you imagine the things they'd be able to unveil that even our oldest documents could not? Some of them are thousands, hundreds of thousands of years old... The origins of both our species.. first-hand accounts of the all great wars and discoveries..." she trailed off.
"For knowledge," she continued, pausing, "no risk was too great."

Zarin stared at her with out saying anything for a few seconds. "I believe you, but you still took over one of my dragons and i cant let that go without punishment. So heres what i say, you can either come back with me to Star and explain to her everything, or you can learn first hand what its like to gain the wrath of the gods."

Emma actually had to think and weigh her factor of survival. "I don't think I will like being struck by lightning very much" she said at last. "Err, I'll tell your friend what I just told you." she said, scooping up the pendant and putting in her pocket for safekeeping.

"Good, see we egg layers aren't that bad after all." Zarin said, then grabbed Emma and with one quick strike of lightning returned back to the spot she was before. "Alright star this is how its gonna work. She is going to tell you every single reason she has as to why she possessed you. Your job is to listen and when its over diced. do you think she had a just cause or do you think she should feel what its like to be frozen and or electrocuted."

"This had better be good, human." Starlight growled. She crouched down, not taking her eyes off the witch, her tail twitching. If the human looked closely at her claws she would see a layer of piercing ice encased the tips of her claws.

Voice straining, Emma explained. "Me and my son, we had been experimenting with the summoning of demons.. Ancient demons are great stores of knowledge, you see, and... One day, we went beyond our natural limits. It was too much for my son; he was consumed and fell into a coma. I found that there was a cure; one had to harvest the energy of each type of elemental dragon. I don't know how it is with dragons, but humans look after their families, you know?" she said looking away.

"Would you stop refuring to us as if we're all that different. Of course we look after our familys, we look after each other. You didn't hear about all those dragons at the Java Hot Springs not to long ago? All different elements of dragons in one place and working together to get by. How about the group of "migrating" dragon a bit before that? Still the same group." Starlight growled. She was still fiercely angry, but the emotion was slowly getting deluded with annoyance. "And there is more then one way to get elemental power, witch. One of those ways is asking. Of course I highly doubt your getting anything from this group anymore, considering you had me attack them!" Starlight finished up, adding a light hiss of venom to the last fact. "I don't know Zarin, I want to make her a living statue and yet I pity and sympathize with her. Humph, your lucky I'm not a murderer, witch, or you'd have been dead before we even had this conversation." Starlight then got up and back out and away from the two. After the first encounter there was no way she was going to turn her back on the human.

Emma blinked, her dignity stinging. "I'm not that stupid. You would have killed me before I got five steps into your territory. You hunt humans for sport, I've seen it with my own eyes. But luckily I have your attention now. You can either kill me or help me, because I won't stop trying to find a cure, whatever the cost." she said, her hand closing over the smooth shape of the pendant concealed in her pocket.

"And how long ago was this 'human hunting' sport?" Starlight said, twisting her neck forward and stopping her retreat. "And even if there was such a touched dragon to do something like that, it would be no fun at all. A full grown dragon is at least 4 times bigger then your kind. In any case, you lost your chase for my willing help as soon as you took it unwillingly. And don't tempt me with that first option."
