Ourias scrambled off the feathered form and ducked. The gyrada looming above him took Dinara's kick to the face and reeled back.
In the moment of opportunity, Ourias' barbed tail arced over his head and buried itself in the bird's side, administering the paralyzing venom. Another gyrada swiped at him, and he yelped, barely dislodging his stinger in time to dodge the attack. A stray disk of ice slammed into the gyrada, and Ourias darted out of the fray.
He was too late to stop the witch's newest spell, but maybe he could interrupt her indirectly. The ring on his hand throbbed, and the power sought out the largest gyrada, the one the ice witch sat astride. Ourias gritted his teeth and tried to pry the creature's will open.

The case of ice that had seized Haleth dropped away from his body, and he whirled to fling a fireball at the dragoness who had tried to flank him. Pride and magic welled up in him, fueled by anger.
Did she think he was stupid? Did she think he couldn't handle the idea of two opponents on the battlefield? He lashed out without recognizing the advantage such underestimation gave him.
"I could see you!" he rasped, birdlike voice harsh with indignance. "Yet somehow you thought moving out of sight for a moment would make me forget you were there?" His throat opened in a harsh hunting cry, and Haleth sprang again.
Neither of them would make suitable soul-bonds. They would die here by his talons.

sapphire and leaf both attacked the creature that was in front of them and tore at its wings when the creature went soaring across the area and hit a rock. blood pooled around it " come on its dead" leaf said to sapphire and together they flew off further up the mountain.

[Midnightmoon]

Dinara countered the serpent stikes with shots of her own, hitting them head on and deflecting their jabs. She did this without moving a muscle. Then suddenly she whipped her tail and a small tide became airborn and struck a line of incomming gyradra's, knocking them back. She continued to counter shoot as she ran the claws of one hand through the water and created deadly ice shards. "Hey! How dare you try to take my Skern, whelp!" Dinara heard the witch scream in outrage. Then her bird shreaked in pain. "I'm sorry my sweet, so sorry." "Nows my shot." Dinara thought and added ice shards to the heads of her counter stikes. The water propeled ice projectiles struck and shattered the serpents she hit, going though them and to the witch, but more gyradra's were closing in and non hit her. Dinara hissed in frustration. It was time to change tactics. She turned her attention downward, directing shots beneath the surface of the of the ground instead. Next she forced them to stike up from the ground.

Minara felt a throb in the forefront of her mind, and Skern started to shudder. Looking about she found the source; that little dark dragon had a look of concentration on it's face. Then she remembered the reports she'd heard about (-when she was listening), and one had said that some of the wizards had lost control of their creatures. "Hey! How dare you try to take my Skern, whelp!" She screamed, outraged. But now Skern was starting to dislodge her. Gripping hard with her legs she took one hand and brought it back. "Meli-nimaras." She hissed, and drover her hand down hard into the neck of her mount. He shreaked in pain, and when Minara removed her hand a symbol was revealed, seared into his skin and feathers by frostburn. "I'm sorry my sweet, so sorry." She murmured, stroking his feathers. He only quivered every so often now. She didn't even realise she was being attacked until there came more shreaking around her. Spurts of water came springing from the ground like tiny gysers. So she instructed Skern and five others to take off. Before her mount left though she set a second symbol similar to the last and set it to fire at the dark dragon, then she was off. The symbol assult would give her enough time to set up her plan.

Zephyr finally made it to the base of the mountain, and not too soon, the enemy was already mounting it's slope. There were so many of them. His rage had been burned away to just a plain thought of survival. With a puff he was racing across the ground into the fray again.

Starlight was puffing when she finally saw energy peak. She had a mated pair of ice dragons with her, Glacious and Frostif. Turning her attention to her scales she concentrated in turning the ice coating her for aerodinamics into her ice armor. Thickening some areas while absorbing others she had her armor complete by the time she started to hear the enemy skreaching and dragons rawring. With a deap breath she swooped down to start attacking airborn enemy's.

Phoenicia was just about to unleash a terrible firestorm, her shield up protecting her from magic projectiles aimed at her from all sides, when she heard a rugged voice: "I wouldn't do that if i were you. That is, unless you really don't like your mother." She turned around in fear and saw Sol'Lux in the air, with a wizard in red robes on her back, his wand pointed at Sol's head, her eyes covered in red glow. Phoenicia realized that the glow was an effect of mind controlling spell and quickly tried to dispatch it, but to no avail. "Now, surrender yourself and your land to us, and some of you may live." said the wizard. Phoenicia's blood was boiling. "I... I CAN'T!!!" she said and prepared for the worst. "Very well, if you insist..."

"Mind if I help?" Yelled Fraziel at Starlight, approaching from above. He had two pieces of rope dangling from his hands. He started to spin one over his head, a huge ice brick growing on it. After few spins, the brick blown into dozens of pointy shards and went towards a bigger flock of gyradas and birds.

The wizard turned into a sheep and fell down with loud "Baaaaa!" He splatted on the ground a second after he changed back. The glow around Sol'Lux's eyes vanished. Phoenicia didn't wait and flown over, expanding her shield around the both of them. The wizards however didn't seem to care, as their necks were being snapped out of nowhere and several of their mounts spontaneously caught on fire. One of them finally managed to make the attacker visible. It looked like a man, but Phoenicia gasped when she saw the persons eyes. They were black, with light blue glow in them. The wizard swung his hands, two bolts expanding from them, temporarily blinding everyone around. When their sight returned, the wizard was gone, a strange blue dragon on his place.

"There are plenty to share." Starlight said with a grin. She came up and around Fraziel, then whipped back to the mass that he had hit, finishing the ones that he had wounded, not that they would have lasted much longer anyway. "These two will stay here to cover this side, we should continue to the Nest. The hord is pressing foreward and their probably badly pressured there." She said as she came back up.

Growling Dinara glared after the witch, but she couldn't go anyway until the spells she had left behind were dealt with. She sent a surge at the floating crystal symbol, which she imidiately cut when she felt the spell grab the water, freezing it. Still countering her own spell she then lept forward and out of the water, water clung to each foot in a bubbly stream connecting to her water source. She tried for a more direct method now and struck the symbol. It broke with a shattering tinkle, ending the assault on her. She turned to help Ourias.

"I don't know sapphire maybe we should stay here and wait for someone." leaf said. "fine we'll stay for now she replied as she settled down to wait.

Lantea was enjoying herself. The alien nature of the Atlantean energy whip weapon was something the wizard's blocks completely ignored. She swung one of her hands and simply sliced a gyrada in half. Her magical sight allowed her to block attacks with the whips, as she saw them even before the were fired, being summoned. She spun around and wrapped one of her energy whips around wizards neck and sent several thousand amperes to him, grilling him in few seconds.

"alright we've waited long enough lets go fly towards the top" sapphire said. "i agree but lets go to the nest and before you ask its about halfway up its where everyone stays." leaf replied and they flew up to the nest. "in here quickly."leaf said and he flew into a crevasse.

[Midnightmoon]

Zephyr had retreated up the mountain to recharge, panting. "Oh jeez, you'd think that training alone would have done something to improve my stamina... or maybe that first charge was a bit much." Then he heard something. Speed marching up the hill Zephyr poked his head into the cave. He spotted the two dragons and scowled. "What are you two doing in there? For one it's not your den, two it's not a hiding place and three the fight is down there. Looking over his shoulder Zephyr amended, "Though I guess it'll be here soon. Ugh, come on, we can't let them up here." Turning back he started down the mountain again, crackling again, though this time it was just show. If any enemy got close their would only feal a tingle and it wouldn't protect him much. He'd have to be more careful in his offensive attacks now.

"actually this den kind of is mine i just share it with my mother " leaf replied sourly as he followed zephyr with sapphire trailing slightly behind her tail dragging slightly from exhaustion. he turned and looked at her his eyes softening slightly and said " you should stay here and rest a little bit." she immediately snapped her head up "I'm not going to let you go on by yourself." "well than at lest use my moms energy crystal." he told her slightly worried. "fine" she replied defeated and followed after leaf and the strange dragon. then both of them rattled there scales, roared and charged the group. sapphire produced several ice spikes and flung them at the hearts of each gyrada's hearts in the front of the charge causing several of them to drop dead immediately while others just slowed there pace

Taranis woke up first. It was dark out, perfect for their stealthy operation. "Hey bro. wake up." he started nudging Ciro. "Its game time."

leaf thunked his tail on the ground and chunks of earth jumped from the ground catapulting themselves toward several gyradas then he contorted some rock to create an armor plating on his head and took to the air. he charged a row of the beast folding in his wings and doing a barrel roll. meanwhile sapphire used the stream that was flowing down the mouantain to propel a stream of water towards the gyradas either freezing it before it hit one or soaking the creature and freezing the water on it causing it to plummet to the ground some shattering others hurt or missing limbs. "hey your pretty good at this" she shouted to leaf. "your not to shabby yourself" he replied to the dragoness

Ciro fidgeted awake, groaning. He rolled to his feet, shaking the sleep from his stiff body. His mind was oddly clear, however. It would be simple; turn invisible, sneak past the wizards, disable whatever was preventing Sol'Lux from using her magic, find Tea, then teleport out. Find Tea. THAT was the part that might turn out problematic. Hopefully there will still be a Tea to find-- he cut that thought off abruptly as he stepped out of the cave with his brother, cloaking them both with an almost flawless invisibility spell. "Let's go." he yawned, stifling his fear.

Taranis and Ciro walked into the camp to find it surprisingly....empty. There were a few wizards on guard but not enough for an army. "Sweet. This is gonna be easier than we though." Taranis whispered. As long as they kept a distance the wizards would be able to detect them. He started walking over and opening random tents. "Nope not in there. Not in this one either."

Pandora was walking in the middle of night through a mountain range nearby until she heard fighting in the distance near a massive mountain that reached above the clouds. "I wonder what's going on over there? Maybe I should check it out." She said quietly as she then vanished into the shadows and appeared below the combatants. She was surprised on how close she Shadowstepped for she was near a human camp when she entered out and saw the fighting dragons much closer. She didn't realize but when she did a few wizards came running out of the fort and began to fire upon her with a verity of spells she had no time to explain. The wizards ran from the safety of their torches and into the dark looking for her. It was sudden when she saw the spells and Shadowstepped out of their firing range. One of the guards yelled "Where is it? That blasted dragon was right here!" Pandora then appeared behind one of the wondering guards grabbing the poor fool with her teeth and mauled him to death when she threw the wizard to the rocky dirt. The two other wizards continued to look in the dragon's last location as the small group went to check on the fort. Just then the two wizards heard movement as the wizard that Pandora was mauling disappeared from where he was standing and rushed to his aid. When they got there they saw their missing comrade as a row of deep holes curved around his neck and his gut was emptied. "Holly hell!" Yelled both of the guards as they began to retreat back to base not knowing what kind of dragon they were fighting. Pandora reappeared in the dark behind the fleeing wizards with blood running down her neck smiling at the same time. "That will teach them twice before messing with me in the darkness." She whispered to herself as she noticed a invisible presence moving through the shadows she lurked.
