"what the heck is-"leaf started, "quick lets go." sapphire interrupted. "well wait cant we teleport near there?" leaf asked. " your right," she said and opened a portal. "lets go." she said then stepped through the portal.
they landed a few miles away from the light and flew the rest of the way. "anyone here?" she called out.

"Hell Yes!" Zephyr rawred, launching himself through the portal. ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=RiAi2VapOs0&list=LLKSNJ8iGulDk1ANu6aRaOGQ&index=3&feature=plpp_video ) Zephyr appeared in the air on the other side of the portal, and started to plumet, energy crackling. As he fell gyradra's that got too close swerved away as electrical fingers grabbed at them. By the time their minds were reset to the tasks of attacking the dragon he was already far bellow them. Zephyr didn't even try to stop his fall, hardly even slowed himself with his wings, legs ready to absorb the impact. And the impact was massive. Energy surged outward as he transfered the energy from the impact outwards. Gryadra's were flung outwards, the closest chared and twitching from residual electricity. He barely took a second to orient himself before he was charging through the ground masses, static sparking on and around his scales rawring for blood. Dinara, glowered after Zephyr but didn't truely reboke him this time. Now that she thought about it she thought that she remembered the adolesent as a youngling, orphaned by the first assault. Besides she had other tasks. Standing at the ready she curled her claws around the staff. After a breath she brought one hand up to the jewal at the top. Bubbles appeared and started to foat around in the jewal, each containing a light of magic. Then magic ebbed from the staff, like a ocean wave. "There we are..." She whispered and whisped the magic closer to her. Then through her she reached and beconed to the water she sensed ealier. She couldn't see it but the water slowly redirected, gaining speed as a new flow was created towards her. Staff in hand she started down the slope to the base of Energy Peak. By the time she got there her new stream should be waiting.

Haleth knelt beside the stream, catching a glimpse of his face before his hands disturbed the sluggish surface. He looked spent, but apart from a distant ache, he felt none of the weariness he should have. The remnants of his partner's magic had come in handy after all. A light tore through the sky overhead, lancing to where he knew a desert mountain lay. What was its name? Energy Peak, the locals called it. The other end of the light pointed straight to his destination. That's handy. It was closer than he'd thought. He dried his hands and spread his arms, small feathers budding from wrist to elbow, when suddenly there was a ripple in the magic around him. The human dropped into a crouch. A portal sliced open not too far away, and a pair of young dragons emerged. They took to the air, following the light. Haleth's mind raced through his options before he settled on following the young ones to the wizard army's position. Although the pair was already far ahead, he let the gap widen and finished his transformation. A harness snaked over his shoulders and wings, dragonsbane crystals scraping though his chest feathers. The last golden flecks of the dead wizard's magic smoothed themselves across his wingtips, to muffle their sound in flight. The winds in his favor, Haleth leapt silently, heavy feathered wings catching the air. He never noticed the stream behind him start to writhe, collect its rivulets, and start to bend towards Energy Peak.
------
Ourias was almost petrified. Zephyr had shot into the portal without a second thought, and Dinara had disappeared down the peak's slope with her staff just moments ago. He peered into the portal. It was a long way down, but it wasn't the height that had him worried. "Um . . ." he said to no one in particular. He wasn't even sure anyone was near enough to hear him anymore. "Could someone give me a push?"
------
Naïma wheeled through the sky, coming to rest near the base of Energy Peak and searching for a familiar face. "What's going on?"

Zephyr twisted and pushed though the enemy, the chaos he brought made the emeny take longer in regrouping. Then he came accross a witch. She was staring at the sky in hatred at Pheonicia, who he had seen on his way down. She sat on a white gyradra that had black and blue speckles and resebled a snow owl with long whispy plooms and soft fluff over its claws. Jumping over a gyradra, leaving burns where his feet struck, Zephyr spat at ball of evergy at the witch. A similar looking gyradra had gotten in his strike path though and with a squawk it fell. Turning the witch looked at him with distain. "You sparky ones always bring pain to by darlings. Your almost as bad as the fire dragons, or that firefly up there." Then something else got her attention and she looked to the mountain. By this point Zephyr had landed and was striking another enemy that had gotten too close. He could amost reach her. Her mount turned it's head to him, fidgeting to turn the rest of it's body, mouth open in a high hiss. "Finally, something special. I almost didn't feal your energy my dear, it's so muted by another power." Leaning over the mounts she spun it around and sped it forward and away from him. At the same time multiple gyradra's lunged for him and he had to backpedal and counter their claws, his swipes leaving a trail of static and crackle. By the time he had taken care of them the witch was lost in the masses and the enemy was closing in again. All he knew was that the witch had gone to Energy Peak. Snarling, he began to fight his way though, back to the mountain. He'd already 'had his fun' and suprise was gone anyway. Besides, it will be easier to recharge on the mountain side.
Dinara was almost to the base of the mountain when something whipped out towards her, twisting her head she shot a ice beam to intercept it. There was a struggle of powers and then the strick was redirected to the side, leaving a jagged spike of ice splintering from the hard ground. "There's the power that I'm looking for. Why would you dilute it with another, my precious?" A voice purred, as a whitch slowly lopped up the slope on her mount. A few similar looking gyradra's slunk up behind her.

Ourias cracked one eye open. He was alone, and the battlefield through the portal looked no more appealing than before. I don't want to get in the way, he thought to himself with a sigh. He lacked the justified anger that fueled Phoenicia and Zephyr, and there would be no time for him to collect his thoughts on the other side of the portal. Ourias perked up almost immediately as he remembered Dinara had gone to do something else to help. Maybe he could help, too. The young black dragon fanned his wings and leapt off his perch with an excited yelp. He stumbled the first few steps down the slope, and then closed his eyes against the long drop. His wings caught the open air as he sailed over a bump, and he peeked long enough to spot Dinara's form directly below, surrounded by several white smudges. Ice dragons? Snow? He looked again, and his stomach — and wings — clenched in terror. Gyradas. Ourias fell the last forty feet like a stone, landing squarely on one of the birds below.
------
Haleth powered higher into the sky and soared like a massive hunting hawk. The two dragons slowed, and he at last let his shadow drift over them when they stopped. The golden gyrada folded its wings and stooped into a dive.
(OOC; Um, those two dragons would be Sapphire and Leaf, sorry that I couldn't get their names in there.)

"That's non of your concern, witch." Dinara replied coldly. Ice secreted from her scales, slowly condensing into a clear armor. With the staff in hand the armor wouldn't completely form as fast as before, but in about half a minute it would be finished. Discretely Dinara slipped the staff to the inside of her right forearm where it stuck beneath the growing ice. "Well of course it's my concern," the witch replied. The other gyradra's spread out to suround Dinara as the witch continued sweetly, "Water magic is just doesn't have the same feal to it. It's like drinking the same brand of wine but one is spiced and chilled." Then with delecate fingures she started to carve a crystal symbol into the air. At that moment a black form fell on top of one of the gyradra's making it squawk and try and twist out from underneath Ourias. "Ugh, I've found that dark magic it toooo... dreary." She finished the symbol and three cresent ice peices integrated around it, swirly lazily. "Ourias, look out!" Dinara spun and fired at one of the one closest to the dark dragon. Jumping at the one on the other side she kicked it in the head as she took wing with two of the ice discs soaring after her. She didn't go far though. Flipping around, zig-zagging to try and lose the discs, she came back for a pass at the other enemey's.

"you know leaf we should patrol the peaks together"sapphire said briskly. leaf looking up replied "your right but we have no armor to protect us besides our scales." "yes well i can take care of that just get in the water." " okay."leaf replied as he waded into the water. "okay you might feel a little chilled at first but you'll get used to it." sapphire told him as the water on his scales started to freeze, "w-what about y-you"leaf said through chattering teeth. "i don't need to go into the water to do that," she replied calmly as ice slid over her scales "wait what is that noise, it sounds like something diving in ai-" she cut herself off as she looked up to see some feathered creature diving right where leaf was getting out of the water shivering,"move!"she yelled knocking him out of the way just in time.

Haleth yanked his wings open as soon as his target was knocked out of the way, pulling up from the ground just in time. He snagged his talons on a protruding rock and whirled for another pass. The dragoness asked something, but he shrugged it off. Gyradas didn't speak, so why should he? Haleth landed and launched himself at the male dragon, claws and beak wide open.

"If there's two of you i'd make one guy be a distraction and the other shall attack from behind and above, outside of sight. They are pretty agile so slow moving projectiles won't hit. You might have to use the claws." reccomended Phoenicia and then cut the link. She needed to focus. If she could muster enough power and summon a big enough firestorm, perhaps that would ease their situation.

Dinara dived for the witch but the other gyradra's lept forward in attack and she had to twist out of the way and off to the side. She hadn't even regathered her thoughts when a disc overshot her and skimmed her back. She could feal the jagged cut chipped from the newly completed armor which had almost broken through to her scales. Then the staff pulsed softly against her forearm. "Ha!" She turned to her left and came to glide over her new creak. It was small, only a few meters wide, and not very deap, but it was enough to start with. She settled into water gently, she reveled in the liquid for a second before whipping her head around to spear a disc with a precise shot of water, making it whirl out of control and into a approaching gyradra. "Ugh, you have your will set on the incomplete form." the witch groaned, then grinned malitiously, "I'll just have to break that will then." Adding something to the symbol the ice that integrated took a new form. At first they looked like ribbons, and then the tips morphed into a mouth with long produrding teeth.
