Sarin's remaining two ice companions moved foreward to introduce themselves to the fire dragons who would be part of the new team. Sarin stayed back for a bit to watch and think about what she saw. After a few moments she smiled grimly but with content; for the most part both elements played nice. She did have some concerns about a couple who seamed to have hidden hostilities but she left it be. Sarin turned from the group, "i've heard your clan has some pretty lethal cuisine." She commented to Tara, "You'll have to warn me before i touch anything in your folder. You plan on joining us or are you needed elsewhere?"
"Teams three and seven have divided half our food stores amoungnst themselves and have set out for their stations along the border. They have also been given instruction to hunt on the way so we'll have enough to keep out fighting numbers fed." Brine, one of the elected elders, reported to Tsusan and Isis, "Teams four, six, eight and nine are waiting for them and guard a bit away from the line to avoid starting or being drawn into anything. One and two are here on reseve and to keep an eye on the noncombatants" "And no word from five?" Tsusan asked. Brine shook his head, "No word from them." "...When three and seven return we should send one of them off to Fire Clan to back up team ten." Isis proposed when the silence had held."They are already short a member." "We should make sure we ourselves have a solid footing first before we send any more after them so soon." Tsusan objected. Isis countered calmly, "What would you have them do then? We can't have them stay up there; our forces would be too concentrated." Tsusan scowled and Brine looked to the ceiling in thought. There was silence. "When they return send the first arrival out to outlier homes to warn them and ask for assistance. The second team to come back can go to Fire Clan."
(Ooc: been working on this for a good hour and it's still only a filler. I'll figure something else out next post XP)

"Oh, just trust your nose. Iv you smell it and it stings, chances are it'll do the smae to your tongue." Tara giggled, "But, I have other stuff to take care of at the moment. Like getting you a place to stay over night. I'll join you in a bit." she smiled and turned to the demon: "So, are you coming with us?"

Well that pretty much sums it up... Thought Scourge examining Tara's previous words. "It's not wise to read my thoughts Tara!" responded the demon in a angry sarcastic way when the dragoness spoke of Thoron's predictions. He turned just slightly to raise his right hand at the suspended chaos that he left standing in the corridor, just with a slight twitch of his hand, it flew across everybody in the hallway staring at it and the noise of his rattling armor echoed when he caught it effortlessly with one hand. He turned again to Tara while resting the handle of his Core on his shoulder with his infernal eyes locking back onto the fire dragoness who asked him to join her. "Sure I'll join you, lead the way fire blood." He mumbled, waiting for her to proceed.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thoron turned his full attention on the white dragoness then sat down tilting his head while looking down at her. "There's no reason to feel that way towards me. I may have had a slip-up a weak or two back from letting Loktus lie to me and abuse my body at his own will, but I am in control of my body now and he has no power to forcibly take that from me while I'm conscious," he growled as he stood again then walked up to sit beside Luna, "This spirit has no possible will of hurting you my fellow friend; nor will he ever get the chance to use my form again in such evil ways that I can't recall." The giant stood up and looked north while rolling his wing shoulders once then continued, "I'm sorry Luna, maybe someday I can save this world from her waring children and give you all peace like I intend to..." He hissed while turning his back on the dragoness and slowly headed north on foot to re-leave Luna of her fear toward him. Thoron disappeared through the forest wall with only his head sticking a few above the trees so he could easily duck if any Shadows or Ashers pass over.

Deka's claws clattered against the sandstone outcropping above the Catacombs, and her tail slapped the smooth cliff in an ungainly landing. At just past midday, most of the inhabitants would have been slumbering in the cool comfort of the shadows, but instead, the half-buried temple swarmed with activity. Messengers flitted to and fro, and a band of grim-looking earth dragons glanced up at her arrival. Deka gave her wings a thorough stretch before folding them, her shoulders still sore from that morning. A gigantic skeletal dragon and a few younger warriors passed her on her way down the rough-hewn stairs. The patrol groups were getting larger, it seemed, despite the losses after the first clash with the fire clan. Deka recognized the outcast messenger she'd met that morning, reclining in one of the spare nests near the entrance. He looked to be asleep, but he cracked one eye open and gave a slight nod. A ruby bracelet glimmered around his wrist. Deka swore under her breath. She'd liked the red one. A talk with Talye was in order once all this was over.

"Very well. We will leave at the given time. I would find you accomodation, but I am not sure where your kind likes to dwell, so... Just go where ever you feel like. I doubt anyone would dare say 'no'." Tara said with a dark grin. The demon looked mighty in her eyes, which meant scary for most others.
Leaving, she set the ice dragons up for night in one of the watchhouses outside of the heat of the fortress and in the realtive calmness of the night, Still grateful for Sarin's aid up north. the final thing on her list was obtaining intelligence and equipment for the mission. She chose to equip her wing with only what was necessary - both because supplies were still short, and because it would allow them to move faster. Each of them would only have a small bag with food, water and what herbs they would take, as all were scarce on the dead plains of Dark clan's domain. last but not least, she ordered several buckets of black body paint made for camouflage.
"All done, I think." she said, joining Sarin for the evening and telling her where they can lay their bones for the night. "It would appear the earthers are not yet ready for open war, rather providing supplies for the shades thus far. I intend to deny them as much of that, and keep those for our own. Where do you think would be the best to hit them? On the border?"

Sarin looked down in thought. A long pause later, "Why make imidiate enemies? We start attacking the Forest Folk then we prove ourselves the enemy to them, even if it's on the border." She made a scratch into the stone then gathered up some pebbles into a pile which she then pushed over the line in a sweep. "If we pluck away at the receivers who carry the supplies just in Dark Clan territory," she picked up the rocks and replaced them bellow the line between both sides, "then we get the suplies ourselves without antagonising the Earth Clan just yet. Long term," she shrugged and shook her head, "their probably bound to futher their aid in war bodies but, i can't see a non-violent way in changing that just yet." "Hopefully it doesn't get that far..." Swrin thought to herself, then another thought occured to her, "What kind of information do you have on where the other clans stand? We've had some luck chatting with some Sparks and Windweavers but Water Clan had become scarce."

Tara admitted that was good thinking, but... "And If the Earthers are carrying the supplies all the way so the shadows can focus on the battle? We'll hve to not just rob them, but dispose of them so we aren't compromised." She put out there. This was going to be dark operation, not in the secrecy sense. "The water clan can't be arsed - what a surprise." Tara frowned with disgust, "They are safe from all of us below the surface, why would they bother. As far asw anyone else, i'm kind of out of the loop. I just came back here, remember?" she smiled, fetching a piece of dried meat for herself.

Sarin nodded and smiled in turn, conceding the point, "Well in that case my suggestion is to recon who's the carrier and add the outcome as a variable in further strategy. No need to make anything complicated now if we don't know everything. Is there anything else that you'd like to discuss?" Sarin then asked, using a soft tone as if to imply that the topic didn't have to be grim or job related.

Tara thought it over, then nodded with a 'hmh'. "Worst case scenario, we only need to deny them the supplies. We can blow up bridges, ice roads..." she shrugged, certain wreaking havoc did not require much thought and even less planning. "So, how do you like my home?"

"I think it's very grand and awe inspiring. You may get second degree heat burns on a regular basis and the food may kill you just as often, but eveything is organised, everyone has their place and you work together if nothing else. The archetecture is multi purpose too. The pillars seam to stand just as proud as the inabitants." Sarin nibbled a peice of meat, then huffed a breath of frost to try and dull the burning of the spices that had been added to the meat. "It's going to be a looong stay, but at least the company here is good." She thought to herself.

"The jerky is a safe bet. Tastes the worst but it's just salted. Make sure to have a bucket of water at hand." Tara pointed to what she was having, not really into fancy food as most of her cuisine was field rations. "And yeah, the fortress is kinda big. You should take a flight around the towers though, that is where most of us live. Some of us nickname them the 'henhouse'." Tara snickered.

"Sounds interesting. When we get back I'll be sure to look into that in leisure but right now we better cool our heels in our nests. We'll be waking up before dawn to head out, right?"
(ooc: where are they sleeping? in the "henhouse" or stagioned somewhere else?)

OOC: I thought I mentioned it - tara got em a place outside the fortress to keep cool... ish ^^ "It would be best t leave under the cloak of the night. We'll be wearing body paint in case we're seen from a distance, although they would know up close so we'll try to avoid that. And it would be just a little suspicious if their spies caught black dragons sneaking oyt of the fire fortress. Well, blacker than me anyway." Tara explained her plan, "Now I notice you don't fight with armor so I'll arrange fr you to receive some sturdy backpacks. They are impossible to access without taking them off but they wont fall off in flight. I'll see you in the morning."
A good two hours before dawn, the wing assembled and went through the camo treatment. Tara had her pack on the ground, looking at a scroll with a map for the last time to plan their first hit.

Later yesterday... Scourge watched Tara turn to talk with her guests leaving him with nothing else to say, except for the offer she gave. He heeded the dragon's words and did as she quoted. The demon left the hall to meet the wall he climbed up on and ascended over it to find the lava channel in front of the gates. Upon landing on the chard volcanic soil, or what was left of it, he walked up to the river and stepped in. Moments later he was knee deep, then vanished under the depths to rest with the bones he found of unlucky ones that couldn't resist the molten rock.
Present... Dawn of the next day has come and an obsidian statue stood at the bottom of the molten river. Suddenly shards of the statue broke off revealing the gruesome demonic armor underneath as it began to move. Scourge opened his eyes and made his way to the bank where his head was first to materialize out of the glowing orange and black. His torso was next along with his mace he lifted onto his shoulder still dripping with lava. He walked out to the front of the gates once more and climbed up with ease to the top of the wall and leaped down on the other side. Landing in the exact same spot since yesterday, this time the granite gave in and cracked under his tremendous weight leaving a single brick out of place of the entire street. Not noticing it, nor even caring, he pushed open the hall doors and went to meet up with Tara in her wing.

As the ice dragons gathered around the container of paint and applied generous helpings upon their light scales Sarin thought of who she could counteract the problem in a more simplified way. "Maybe if we role in some ash while the paints still fresh it will rub into and between the scales..." "...i'm not against being out in the field," Shear said to Marin, "i just think we could have been put somewhere else. Outside of the tundras we're sort of a crooked tail." Marin shrugged but the look in her eyes said she agreed at least in part. "I'm sure it's all worked out already." Sarin put in reasuridly. "Just stick together and protect each other and the wing." As she finished saying it Shear didn't look up from rubbing paint into his tail, but Sarin could tell he was rolling his eyes. Giving him a look she knew he could feel Sarin didn't stop till he huffed and nodded, glancing up quickly to meet her eyes before continuing to legs. Grabbing up a fist full of ash and dirt from the ground Sarin rubbed it into the applied paint and was satisfied with the result. When she was finished she left the others to come up along side Tara. "All things considered?"
