"And how many symbols are there suppose to be?" The little air spirit bubbled along behind Dinara, making a little underwater twister which was not exactly a whirl pool. Using her tail began to disturb the sand to look beneath it, sweeping along like a duster. "Hey you, little critter butterfly-thing, come here. I got a idea which needs you help to go quickly." It looked disgruntled at being called a "thing" but came over anyway. "K, you blow at the ground, just like I was doing a minute ago, and I'll pull away the sand. That good?" It started right up as soon as Dinara stopped talking. It was a while still though till Dinara found a rock with a shimmering symbol. "This something your looking for?" She asked Fireheart, lifting it up to show him.

"One of them. This symbol is an ancient rune representing the number six. Earth and five colonies. This is the symbol that activates the gate to Dragon Essence. In any case, we're going home at least." smiled Fireheart with a relief. "Now that we know those really are the runes and not just for example star constellations, we don't need to find any other." he said from the place where he was standing. He just found the pedestal which served for drawing the symbols. "so now if we enter the rune 'five' we should go to..." he drawn the rune. the drawing lit up and a golden vortex formed inside the gate, "Atlantis. Good thing is that the other gate have to work for making the connection, so we can go home. But we better take this." he said and carefuly detached the pedestal from it's place, putting it into his bag. "Stay close. Who knows what's waiting on the other side." he said, activated his own shield around them and stepped through...
They walked out of the gate on Atlantis. The portal closed behind them. All looked like it should have - it was a wasteland. Nothing but sand, unbreathable air and ruins of what seemed to be large city on the horizon. "Don't recall the air spirit yet, the atmosphere is very bad. We'd sufficate in few seconds." he noticed, looking around. He walked to the pedestal. Untouched. He looked around and saw a huge crater, but a forest was nearby. Dead forest, but untouched. "Something isn't right. If a meteor hit this place, why's the gate and forest still standing..." he said, his eyes half closed, ptroling the terrain around and his mind scanning for any element anomalies. "Let's have a look at those ruins." he said, running slowly towards them. "Do you feel anything unusual in your elements around?"

Dinara made a noise like a snort. "What element? There is obviously no ice, visibly or elementally, and then the only water around here is a few thin vains deap bellow us." The water still on her scales from the transition of underwater to desert turned to mud as she followed close behind fireheart.

"Good, because something is messing up with light all around us. There!" he said and pointed to a single building still standing. It was looking like a stone half-sphere. The entrance was a huge portal door, with various symbols crafted on it. Part of Fireheart wanted to read them, but another part was screaming that they should get what they want and get home as soon as possible. He pushed the heavy steel door and they walked in. The inside was divided into eight short corridors, with a depositary on the end. "No way!" he breathed out as he noticed all of the items stored there were giving off enormous amount of elemental energy, even comparable to the elemental hearts before the elemental dragons' spirits left. "This is IT, my friend, this is IT!" he said and jumped to one corridor that was giving off the fire signatures. Over the depositary, there was a print "You don't choose them, they choose you." Fireheart thought about it for a second, but then he just pulled the sword stored there out of it's pedestal, a dragon statue. Nothing happened for few moments, but then the sword changed into a flame. As unbelievable as it was, Fireheart could feel how it burns, even though he was part fire dragon. The flame went over his body. He started screaming in pain. It finally stopped. He looked on the hand he touched the sword with, afraid it has been burned beyond repair. To his surprise, it looked intact. Only few flames were dancing where his back scales were. "If this is 'choosing me', then it's good they didn't ask, i would have passed." he said, his hands still shaking,"Incredible! It's a hellfire! Actual flame taken back from hell." he said. "Let's pick them all up. Careful, if i got burned, you might get a frostbite." he grinned and went to another corridor. As he was picking it up, nothing happened again. "Good. Once was more than enough." (OOC: all your posts are massive. T-T)
Dinara was looking up through the crystalline ceiling. It sparkled with every colour she could think of and in some places she could see the orange sky tinted purple. She was thinking how it was too bad the room was too small for her wing span when Fireheart started screaming. Spinning around she ran for the passage he had gone into only to skid to a stop when he walked out all excited and wielding a sword. "Uhh...sure." Not overly tempted on getting major frostbite, as Fireheart predicted, Dinara went for the one that had a sense of water. At the end of the dead end passage was a fountain with a mini waterfall flowing out of the wall, underneath the stream there was a staff. After a pause to admire it she reached in and grabbed it gently. The little waterfall stopped and Dinara thought that it wasn't going to do anything. Next thing she knew there was a rumbling and she was bombarded in a downpour. She could hardly see anything and as try as she might she couldn't part it with her power over the element. It took quite a while for her to navigate around and stumble out of the passage, then the downpour stopped and she was left standing there sore, dazed, and holding the staff.

OOC: OK, i confess i am jealous of Kauria's writing skills so i studied a bit and started adding a lot of descriptions ;P
It took another minute until Fireheart stopped laughing. Now he was just gasping for air, spazming on the floor. "Sorryyyyy!!!" he managed to say while getting up. His belly still hurt from the laughter. He took a deep breath, counted to three, trying to calm down. "Ok, ok, i'm cool." He came closer and vaporised the water that was still dripping from Dinara's skin to dry the poor thing. "We have what we came for, let's go home." he said with a smile and looked to the exit. He froze in fear. Beyond it, he could see what was causing the light fluctuations. One after another, weird creatures were decloaking. Soon, there were hundreds of them. Dozens of six-legged insects were swarming on thheir position. "I... I... I think i know why we were choosen right away." he said, pointing to the exit. "It wasn't a meteor! It was them! That's why so many things are intact! That's why we were supposed to stay far away from here!" he panicked. "The gate. We need to get to the gate." he said, thinking about how to do it. "One," he said and a light shield formed around them, "Two" he said and summoned the energy spirit, and took Dinara's hand, "Stay with me. Three!" he said and his teleportation spell engaged. It spit them out right in front of the gate, but the creatures were waiting. Fireheart used the hellfire to build a firewall around it and the energy spirit to fry the few insects still left inside. He tossed his backpack to Dinara. "Bring them home!" he ordered and went to the pedestal, drawing the symbol for their home planet. The gate activated. "Go, i'm right behind you!" he said, expanding the firewall as far as he could to buy them some time. Then he collapsed it and pulled back into the gate.

Dinara looked around shocked at the creatures, and couldn't even get a gasping word out before Fireheart teleported them away, for whatever good that did. When the flashed back in front of the portal they were surrounded by more creatures. With a snarl she fired a beam and froze one, then with a grunt dragged the ice encasing the first to smash the entire mass into a second and a third. Then Fireheart's firewall exploded outward and Dinara fumbled with the sac thrown at her. ""Bring them home! Go, I'm right behind you!" He said. Taking him on his word she jumped up and flew back with a single sweep of her wings and through the golden portal.
